Decided to come here for lunch. My girlfriend and I decided to sit at the bar as waiting to be seated was a 15 minute wait. You can tell who was really hungry. Our server was nice and she help my girlfriend with some recommendations. For starters we were treated with the Honey Butter Croissants which were on the house! Those croissants were super delicious, then we ordered the Wisconsin Cheese bites, another wonderful dish. For the main meal I decided to get the country fried chicken with a side of red beans and rice, and the mashed potatoes. The chicken was served on top of a Texas toast. Everything thing that I had ordered was served great! I definitely recommend this dish. As for my girlfriend, she had the buffalo chicken wrappers with a side Caesar salad. My husband and I opted for a late lunch at cheddar's entirely out of convenience. While the food is good, it isn't anything outside of spectacular, but it's close by and we had a gift card. However, we had the most incredible experience thanks to the entire staff. From the moment we opened the doors and went inside, we were greeted by the effervescent Vereasa, who told us she loves her job and her guests. She has to be, hands down, the most jovial hostess I have ever experienced. She immediately set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. Our waiter, Brandon, too was eager to make sure our experience was top notch. From providing details of the food items we had questions on to help us solidify our choices to anticipating our needs before they arose, he made sure we had an enjoyable lunch. While those two were the only ones whose names we got, everyone we encountered, from the bar staff (even though we weren't at the bar) to the worker clearing the tables in another section, seemed to go the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable, greeted, and shown hospitality. We will be back, but this time, it won't be out of convenience but rather out of gratitude and respect for the workers who were fully present in their roles today, ensuring all who chose to dine at Cheddar's (we heard them interact with others at the restaurant, too) had a great experience. read more

This has to be the worst of the worst. I have never been treated and eating in a restaurant like this. I got there at 7 PM. I immediately sat at the bar. There was no one except the manager and kept telling me someone's coming at 7:28 exactly a server came I ordered potato cheddar soup, some croissants. and country Fried steak with mashed potatoes and carrots 15 minutes later actually now it's 752 my soup showed up it was hot. However they covered it with orange cheddar cheese. They just came out of the refrigerator because it was really cold. Then I reminded the server please don't fire all the food at one time. I finished the soup about 815 then food showed up obviously let's all meet at the same time and sitting under a heat lamp and you could tell mashed potatoes, Brown, crusty, and heart carrots we're also destroy and my main dish was like a cracker with rubber. This place was exactly what I expected it to be. It's a pretty new Plaza and it's a very modern building, it's clean inside, and we were sad, pretty much instantly, as a table of four in the loung area on a Saturday. Their sweet rolls with the condensed milk (i think that's what it was) dripped over it were absolutely delicious. I was there, mostly as a guest who was not really going to eat dinner, but I munch on our appetizer, a delicious, spinach, artichoke dip, and tried a few bites of my family's plate. The artichoke dip came with a big dollop of sour cream in the middle, which kind of felt like a space filler to have to put less dip, so maybe request it without that. The server was sweet, even though she made a mistake with getting our order correct, and I'm sure it was a busy day for her. Cuz those croissants be bussinnnn To start off we started off with a trio sampler. Came with tenders and chips with salsa, spinach dip and queso for 11.99. I feel if you don't mind not getting fries this is more for your money than getting chicken tenders w fries. I also went with the usual . Sirloin 8 oz steak and make no mis-steak but it was cooked to perfection. Got two sides which was broccoli and fries. Service was not bad just didn't get one thing we asked for. Server didn't write down the order and had to keep coming back and asking us what we ordered again. Effort appreciated, just wish he'd make it easier on himself. read more

This Cheddars is located off of Pines Blvd west of I75. It is similar other Cheddars. The interior looks like an Olive Garden. When you walk in, the hostess station is super close to the door, that there is not a lot of room if there is a line. The entrance is actually quite uncomfortable. The hostess was very sweet, but she had to type a lot info into the computer for each party, which slowed the checking in process down, creating a larger uncomfortable line and waiting area. The food is "ok" and nothing to rave about. I think the best item is their buttery sweet crossaints, which are complimentary. My chicken tenders were tough, and while the batter was crispy, the inside chicken was wet and slimey (not juicy). One of my tenders didn't even have chicken in it, just crispy crust. It was a never again for me. The portion sizes are beyond huge, and the wrap had 4 large pieces. Service was good. The tables have the Olive Garden tablets to pay the bill and alert your server if you need something. read more

Alright, so I was very hesitant to dine here because of all the bad reviews, but I went anyway. I will start by saying that the only reason this place gets 4 and not 5 stars is because the restaurant is a little dark and definitely needs some brightening up. Imagine the food you get at an American style buffet but without the buffet. That kind of food you want to eat because you haven't had it in so long. When was the last time you had a chicken pot pie? The hostess was so upbeat and made us feel welcome from the start. Inside is modern and spacious. Our server was helpful especially since this was our first time and attentive. We got the pineapple coconut mule and the island tiki. Both drinks were tasty with a generous pour. The cheese bites just melt in your mouth. The complimentary honey biscuits are tasty. The New Orleans pasta was well seasoned and surprisingly had a good amount of meat. My sister got the regular shrimp Alfredo and wanted the Cajun Alfredo sauce but the explanation the server gave of why that couldn't be done didn't make sense. We got the skillet cookie for dessert and i think I expected it to be better than what it turned out to be. The cookie was too thin and it wasn't hot, the cold ice cream made it just a lukewarm dessert. The pastas also were not hot so not sure what was going on with the food temperature . It's the Cheddar for me! This spot offers a very cool, relaxed and chill vibe. It's great for family dinners, drinks and date night. The food is amazing and the drinks are good. For the well no pink steaks I would recommend checking before eating. My sister steak was still pink. They took the steak back and recooked the same steak. We requested a whole new steak. We were told the policy is to recook the steak unless a new steak is requested. There is a tablet on the table to order appetizers, drinks, desserts and play games. You just can't order your entree from the tablet. Which is a great way for you to get started while you wait. The game is $1.99. I went on a Friday night. At 8 it starts to fill up. Im glad I just got there before the wait time. We had a great server. She was nice, gave good advice and very helpful. Their is plenty street parking available due to it having its on parking lot. Had to ask for the sauces and the second side. The Fried were cold. When they brought new ones they were slightly warmer. The desert took like 20 minutes to come out. The fries were dark brown as if cooked in old oil. The waitress took a long time in coming to the table. Someone else brought the food out and it was cold. The cheesecake was frozen. I'm not sure how I feel about this place. We have tried to dine in 3x (@ different times of the way and day) and are always told that it's an 1hr wait. The place is mostly empty, but they are extremely short staffed. So we always do take out. The food itself is pretty good - fairly priced, made from scratch and American fare. Their bread is sweet soft pillowy croissants which are my favorite. The first time we ordered takeout they offered us an entire box of bread. The second time they just gave us 1 per entree and said "if we were to dine in they can give us more". Ok buf it's basically been impossible to dine in though. My evening here started off great but sad to say as the hours went by it was going down hill. My wait time to get seated was good, the hostess told me it will be 5 mins. She asked me if I was ok with half a booth, which I made a face to, but I said it was fine. To my surprise she did accommodate and gave me a full booth and I was extremely grateful. As we were seated, the waiter brought some croissants, when I saw them I thought they were sugar glazed croissants, but don't be fooled, it was honey butter and they were amazing. I ordered the cheese bites, half rack of ribs with fries and a Caesar salad. The cheese bite were very good especially with the dipping sauce which I later used for my fries. The Caesar salad was pretty good as well, however it was heavy on dressing. The ribs were good too but, it contained a heavy load of fat. This can be expected but it was too overwhelming for me to finish eating. Later that evening, I ordered the hot fudge sundae. This is where things were spiraling downhill. I want to say I think I waited for about an hour for my dessert. The Heat game was on that night. The waiter told us that kitchen was backed up and was very apologetic. When we got the sundae it was not what we call a hot fudge sundae cause the cake/ fudge was not hot/ warm. I honestly think they forgot about us cause of the game. I got the box to pack my left over cake, but I still had to wait for the waiter to come to provide me the check, which took awhile. When I finally see him attending everyone else with boxes and the check. It was difficult to make eye contact and when I was finally was able to make eye contact, it was when the heat game was pretty much over, they were losing and I can finally pay and leave. The restaurant remind me more of a Flanagans just fancier looking. They served pretty much the same food, but may be a few notches better. Would I come back probably not. I hate to say this because I like cheddar's food and service, but I call them like I see them fair and honest. We arrived at 2pm and with many tables vacant had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. I get that many places have staffing issues, but making a person wait on a bench is worse than making them wait at a table with a beverage. Sit them and tell them your understaffed, get them a soda or coffee and make them feel important for waiting, restaurant 101 having owned a restaurant 32 years ago, make the best of the situation so people don't feel I wanted. When I saw that this restaurant opened right up the street from my house recently, I had to give it a try. I have gone a total of three times and tried a different dish each time. You're probably wondering why I only gave it three stars if I've gone back three times, right? To me three stars is still very good just not exceptional in my opinion. The restaurant is brand new so it is very updated and really nice aesthetically. My favorite area is the bar area. They are located on the corner of Pines Boulevard and Dykes in West Pembroke Pines Florida. The service was good, staff is friendly and the food is good. The reason I gave it three out of five stars is because although it's good it's not great. I definitely recommend going to check it out for yourself because everyone taste is different. I have tried the pot pie, the ribs, and the chicken tenders. The pot pie was good but I've had better at several other places. The ribs were pretty good. The chicken tenders were pretty good as well and probably my favorite of the three. I've also tried the following sides; coleslaw, red beans and rice, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and side salad. The side salad & coleslaw were my favorites. I would not recommend the red beans and rice because although it tasted okay, you only get 99% beans with a couple specs of rice. It was a little disappointing, especially because the waitress said it's a house favorite. Anyway, this place is worth checking out. I've gone enough times to know that I probably won't be going back but it may be someone else's favorite restaurant so give it a try. Maybe it's because Pembroke Pines is the restaurant capital of Broward and there is something new opening up every week. I like their chicken tenders and Mac n cheese. Our server was very patient and attentive throughout our time there. He gave us their iconic honey butter croissants to start and we ordered our meals. Friday night, Family dinner. 3 kids, 4 adults. 6:30 pm and no wait, what's not to like! Kids ordered grilled cheese & French fries. They devoured the sandwiches and there were too many fries to finish. Bar drinks were well made & much appreciated. Meatloaf was good with lots of gravy. My filet was a little tough but the baked potato and Cole slaw were spot on. Large salad with chicken was fresh and too big to finish. The restaurant was a little too dark for my taste but was able to read the menu. They had different tvs playing sports channels and other things. After checking out the menu as an appetizer we got the trio sampler which came with a spinach dip, salsa, queso and chicken tenders. Everything was fresh and great tasting. For the main, we enjoyed the salmon which came with two sides and the grilled chicken pecan salad. The reason why I gave it a 3 stars is because the ribs we ordered came cold to the table and that is a big no for me.
