My family has been to this location a few times already and it has always been a stellar experience…read more- the food was well seasoned but not too salty, the service was quick and personable, and we always walked away more than satisfied. This time, however, was very much the opposite. This review is specifically for this one experience. My family of 4 came on a Friday night around 6:30 pm and the restaurant was probably about 1/3 full. We got sat next to the rowdiest table imaginable and it was just occupied by 4 gals. 80% of the noise in the restaurant was from them. I couldn't even hear the person next to me when they were talking because the group was so loud and inconsiderate. When I looked around the room, all of the other tables were shooting glances at the gals' tables. This went on for the entire dinner and by the time we left the restaurant, my ears were ringing from the ridiculous noise level. We felt like the staff should have stepped in to say something especially with how many other people they were affecting. Now onto the service. When we were sat by the hostess, we weren't given any menus. We only received menus about 5 min later when we were greeted by our waitress and without giving us time to look at the menus, she immediately asked if we wanted any appetizers. We got our usual crawfish and shrimp fondue which was delicious as always, no complaints with quality of the actual dish. We just didn't get any small plates to eat it with. We looked around for maybe 7-8 minutes and I even got up to go look for them myself before our waitress brought us plates. We didn't get any complimentary bread and butter at the beginning of our meal like we usually do and only got the garlic bread that came with the fondue so when we ran out of garlic bread and still had half of the fondue left, we asked for more bread and waited for almost 15 min before we got it which by the time it came, the fondue was cold and we already had our entrees. My parents, when ordering, told the waitress they were going to share and when their dish came out, they weren't given an extra plate to eat with. The lack of paying attention to detail was really off putting. They, of course, asked for another plate and didn't receive one for like over 5 min. As a precious waiter myself, getting a customer an extra plate doesn't take much at all. The Mississippi catfish opoulousa was so incredibly salty - both my parents and I really struggled to finish our dishes. I think it was the sauce that was too salty because when I tried bits of the catfish that wasn't drenched in salt, it wasn't as bad. The seafood was cooked well and wasn't dry. Probably 10 min into eating our entrees, a male employee randomly came by and tossed 3 to-go boxes onto our table. It came off really rude because we were barely halfway through our entrees and it was like they were trying to push us out the door. I think he was just trying to get rid of the boxes after coming from a different table but like still, what the hell? Our waitress came by and took the boxes, giving a quick excuse of "sorry I'll get y'all different boxes" and never came back with more until 15 min later when we were finally ready for to-go boxes. It took way too long to get anything - whether it was asked or not - last night and the environment with the unruly customers really ruined the experience for us and left a tainted memory of the restaurant.

My server, happily explained the menu and gave some recommendation. I got the Lobster Special with additional clams and mussels at medium spice level. The food this time left me very disappointed. The lobster weren't the best quality, potatoes and corn weren't cooked enough, wasn't spicy at all despite getting medium spice level, and was super oily and salty. Along with my server forgetting that she still had my table in her section. Overall, staff were still super friendly but food was very disappointing so not sure if I will be back.

The "Royal Hour" items I had were the 6 texas gulf oysters on the half shell, 3 Louisiana oysters and 3 Alabama oysters. The Alabama oysters stood above the rest, and its a must recommend! The Texas and Louisiana ones weren't bad, but its your typical ones you can get for a $1 each at other places. I also got the "The Oysterette" old fashioned, which is literally just a regular old fashioned but decorated by a twist and a blueberry to mimic an oyster, definitely dissapointing. I was probably expecting something that was a twist regarding oysters and a regular old fashioned. Either way, I probably will continue coming to Liberty just for their HH as its pretty solid.

As a Louisiana native, I invited a friend to try this place. I had eaten there once before a couple…read moreof years so after stumbling across it. The experience I had the first time was good. This time- it was awful. First thing, the ambiance is awful. It was extremely hot in there. I inquired about the heat and the young lady, who was taking our order, said that they didn't have control of the thermostat and that her boss controls it from her phone. I told her she needs to let her boss know that customers are complaining about it to which she said she had already done. The food was awful. I ordered fried shrimp and my friend ordered fried oysters. My shrimp had so much breading on them that you couldn't even taste the shrimp. The oysters were over breaded as well. So much so that my friend only ate a few of them. I tried one of the oysters and spit it out immediately because the breading tasted burnt to me. Thirdly, the young lady who took our order was rude and not very personable. She was on the phone while we're trying to decide what we wanted to order. After we placed our order and sat down at our table, we could hear on the phone. At one point, she called who ever she was on the phone with, the B word. Hoping that I misheard what was said, I asked my friend what did she hear? She heard the same thing. Fourthly, I got cocktail sauce to go with my shrimp. It lacked flavor so I tasted my friend's spicy remoulade and it was good. I went up and asked if I could get some of that and was annoyed that they wanted to charge me for it. I told the guy who was at the register that he could keep it and I wouldn't be coming back there again. I hate businesses that charge for condiments. I'd rather them simply increase their prices to cover the cost of the condiments. We were the only customers in the store and this was on a Saturday at 12 noon which is normally peak lunch time. The fact that no one was in there speaks volume to me and should speak volume to the owners. Honestly, I was so embarrassed that I invited my friend to this place for lunch. Unfortunately, due to our experience, we will not be visiting this place again.
