Chicken fried chicken

I like coming here because I can usually get in and out pretty quickly and the food and service is pretty consistent.

Painkiller: my fav drink - A close-up of a pineapple cocktail served in a large glass with a salted rim, garnished with a pineapple wedge. The drink appears to contain pineapple juice and possibly coconut cream, as indicated by the menu. A menu card in the background lists the ingredients and nutritional information for the drink, named Cheddar's Painkiller, with a limit of two per guest.

Always love Cheddars, and this location is as awesome as the others. Gotta love a place that knows how to serve Painkillers, heck I have a hard time explaining them to regular bartenders. And the food is always exceptional, the servers professional, the atmosphere fun. Thanks for helping me enjoy NYE 2025! Cheers!

Chicken Country Fried Steak

Excellent service from Jacqueline F! Food was average. Spinach dip, chicken tenders, croissants appetizer were excellent but the chicken fried steak breading was not crispy and very thick. The steak itself was tough. Salmon needed a little more seasoning and the shrimp were dry.

Caesar Pasta Salad with Chicken & Classic Cheeseburger with Fries

FYI-coming in when they just open maybe a surprise because they were cleaning everything when we came in. This is our 1st time to this Cheddar's. We were sat just short after opening as the hostess was polite and let us know about the cleaning situation before she could seat us. Nick, our server was super polite and apologetic about us having to wait. He also let us know that the kitchen was still getting ready for lunch but offered us Cheddars delicious croissants. Our appetizer was the Cheddar bites never disappointed. My hubby got the Classic Cheeseburger and I got the Chicken Caesar pasta salad, they were delicious.

Country Fried Chicken

Summary: This place was saddening. For starters, I got the Country Fried Chicken. The gravy was too salty, the canned beans were depressing, and the alleged "fully-loaded baked potato" was a joke. See picture. My family members ordered the porkchop dish, the New Orleans Pasta, and the Chicken Alfredo Pasta. The porkchop dish was ok, basic porkchops with a small amount of caramelized onions which came with 2 sides of your choosing. We went with the green beans and mashed potatoes. The green beans were of the same canned "quality" as previously mentioned and the mashed potatoes were similar to what you'd get out of those instant packets. The New Orleans Pasta was way too salty to the point that my family member couldn't finish and had to take in a to-go box for personal alterations at home. The shrimp in it was also mediocre at best. The Chicken Alfredo, a popular favorite, was disappointing as well. The pasta sauce itself was of nothing note-worthy. The chicken was dry and a little hard not to mention excessively salty. Oh and, the water was dirty -- random particles and flake-like substances swimming around, so fun. Not likely to repeat business - low quality food.

FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz ****…read more WHAT THEY'RE KNOWN FOR: upscale southern food that has one location in Fort Worth and Austin! THE VIBE: super cute and spacious. Very upscale area so the inside is upscale PRICE: ~$70 I think WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! **** Overall Rating: 9/10 - I was surprised by how fancy this place was (it is in the Clearfork shopping area which is known as a bougie shopping center so not super surprised). - The biscuits were so so good I wish that I took a picture of them but I recommend those for sure! The fried chicken and kale salad complemented each other so well I highly recommend as well. - The deviled eggs were good but they are just basic so you can skip those (unless if you were craving it). - The pimento cheese was very good too it was packed with flavor. I wish it came with more bread but I'm assuming we could've asked for more. - A little pricier than you would think but honestly this place had so much flavor I'm not gonna continue to complain about that lol.

We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.

We had the pleasure of meeting Nana herself. Me and my mom enjoyed speaking with her. She was pleasant and friendly. I loved how she was very down to earth. My mom took a photo with her. My server was the sweetest and most polite person. She checked on me and my mom multiple times. She was friendly and helpful. So I must say my service was welcoming and AMAZING! I felt like part of the family! Now it's not a fancy place, but it was clean and cozy. Like a mom and pops place. Condiments are provided on the table. Even roses that were real are in a vase. You can dine in or they have a carry out side. Well I chose fish since that's what I wanted. The 2 piece filet meal comes with 2 sides. They will bring your food out in a plastic container. So if you have left overs it's already set to go. The food came out hot and fresh. The fish was fried nicely. I wish it was seasoned a bit more for my liking. It was pretty good though. It was a great size and again fried to perfection. The hush puppies were really tasty. The fried corn fritter was delicious. The pickled tartar sauce was unique and I loved it. OMG the cabbage was so DAMN GOOD! This stole the show. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned with love. It touched my soul and I wanted to lick my container. The Mac and Cheese was a NO for me. It was like black pepper and cheese sauce. It was just blah and II didn't even eat it. However, others may like it, but it wasn't that great. Sorry Nana! Overall I had a good visit! I will definitely come back and EAT when in the area. The cabbage won me over. I left feeling happy and full. The southern hospitality was FANTASTIC!

I got the two-piece catfish with sweet potatoes and mac & cheese--fish fried to crunchy perfection on the outside, juicy and full of flavor inside. My son loved his honey BBQ wing special with fries; the sauce had just the right sweet kick. The place sparkled with cleanliness--even the restroom smelled fresh like citrus. Bussers kept tables wiped down constantly, and the staff was super friendly, checking in to make sure we had everything. Met the owner too; she's genuinely warm and customer-focused, which made the vibe even better. If it weren't an hour from Dallas, I'd be weekly. Fort Worth soul food done right--thanks for the love! Tip: Go hungry; portions are generous.

The General Manager was friendly and knowledgeable. The other staff were polite and helpful. It was a warm welcome to the establishment. I had multiple requests and they were all taken care of. Ambiance was good no complaints. Dining room was clean and comfortable. I like that they offer booths and tables for seating. The decor is simple with chicken art. The vibe is laid back and gives a little bit of country down to earth feel. Mimosas were definitely full of champagne! Chicken sandwich was moist and juicy. I like the slaw and pickles that come on it. I chose medium heat, but next time I want it a bit more spicy. I wanted sweet heat sauce on it. I think there was a slight misunderstanding with that. The sauce that comes on it doesn't have a kick. Quick fix they brought me a side of it. Once I poured that SWEET HEAT SAICE on my chicken sandwich it was magical. My mouth was happy and excited. This sauce definitely makes a difference. You will be singing to the chicken GODS lol. It made the chicken taste so good. The fries were hot, a bit salty for my liking. They give you a generous portion of fries though. The sweet potato fries seem to be the popular choice. Everyone had them on their table. I will have to try those. Overall a very good visit! I left satisfied and FULL! It's a popular place on weekend and they get a good crowd. You can order margaritas, beer or mimosas so that's a bonus. Thanks Cookshack for the hospitality.
