What an unfortunate dining experience tonight at Cheddar's. Party of 4, arrival appx 9:30pm. We were seated promptly but at a very tight table for 4 adults. And then we waited for our server. After about 12-15 mins, our server makes herself known and takes our drink and appetizer order. Soda's come out about 5-7 mins later but my husbands beer does not. Have to remind our server( we still don't know her name at this point- just the girl with the messy pink bun) what beer he ordered. Appetizer arrived as does the beer. Messy Pink Bun takes our order and goes back to what she has been doing the entire time we have been seated- talking to the 2 ladies at the table right next to us. Our food arrives appx 15 mins after the appetizer but the order is incomplete- side salads are no where to be found. After pointing this out to Messy Pink Bun, she is very apologetic and is gone for another 10 mins- I was beginning to think they ran out of lettuce. We opt to just get the salad to go and have the other salad removed from our tab. For all our trouble, we got 4 croissants to go along with our now to-go side salad. Yippee? I had to convince my husband to leave Messy Pink Bun a tip. This is where we finally discovered Messy Pink Buns name is Madison. Service sucked. A lot. But the food was good. We went to eat around 5 ock on a Sunday afternoon. The place was empty when we arrived. I had a party of 10, 5 of them were kids. The food was reasonably priced and so were the drinks. I ordered chicken fried steak but my meal came out after my whole table finished eating their food. We asked the manager to comp our meal because we had to ask our waiter every time we saw him. He did not comp my meal but he did give us a free desert. Otherwise the food was good and honey butter croissants were yummy. read more

Had to ask them to check on food at 1:40. Food arrived about 1:50. Wife had to send her salad back twice as lettuce was old/wilted. We ended up just not eating it and were comp'd for the salad, so we did appreciate that. Once we got back in the car one of my daughters vomited about 10-15 minutes later. We have a big family and Cheddars is our favorite place to go. The food is always good and it's very well priced. It's hard to go out and try to stick to a budget, but Cheddars makes it possible. The kids love the food there. They also love the free chocolate milk refills. The service has always been good, some days are better than others, but I've never had bad service there. The salsa for the chips and queso look like the salsa had been store bought, honestly looks like the picante salsa you can get from Walmart. The spinach dip looks like someone busted a nut all over it with the sour cream sitting there on top of it. The water tasted disgusting (tasted of sewage) and she brought me unsweetened tea instead of sweet. The waiter is okay but she's not very attentive, can't get orders right and has a slight attitude. And another plus, being argued with about it not being sweet tea. Yay. Finally got my food and took two bites before sending it back. I got the 6oz sirloin with grilled shrimp, fully loaded baked potato and broccoli. First off, the server didn't ask how I wanted my steak; The steak was way too tough to chew, and the grilled shrimp are too sweet and spicy, they're inedible. This place is really good. The food is fresh and a good selection. The staff is friendly. However the wait to eat was over 1.5 hours. We checked in with a 20 minute wait but took over 30 minutes to be seated. No big deal as we had a margarita at the bar. What a horrible experience. When we arrived, we were told there was a 15-20 minute wait to get a table for 4 people. No big deal. We were waiting near the fish tank near the main dining room and saw 3 open tables that nobody was sitting at. After 15 minutes, a party of 6 was seated at one of those open tables. Why did it take so long to sit them. We passed by them when we arrived. After waiting 45 minutes for our table and still seeing open tables in the main dining room, we were seated. When the hostess was taking us to our seats in the far dining room, we saw about 6 or 7 open tables and asked why it took so long. We were told that they were short staffed on servers. WOW! That should have been a red flag to just up and leave. After waiting 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken, we knew we were in for a long evening, but our kids were starving and we didn't want to wait for another 30 minutes at another restaurant. We ordered food and it came out at a decent amount of time. Our waiter was horrible though. Saw that we needed refills, but took 10 minutes to get them. Toward the end of the meal, he came by and asked if we needed anything else, as he walked to another table. We said yes and ordered the cookie ice cream desert. He took our order from another table!! Why ask us if we need anything if you're not going to pay attention to us? When we were served our desert, the ice cream was half melted and the cookie had to be literally cut with a knife. We complained to the manager and ended up getting it free, but were told that the have to be cooked precisely otherwise would be ruined. Was going to complain that it took forever to get seated when so many tables were open, but he ran off too quickly. At that moment, we vowed to never step foot inside another Cheddars again. She kept giving us some lame excuse as to why it was taking so long.. he eventually just told her to bring a different beverage. A couple minutes later she shows up with his drink. So ridiculous. I'm beyond disappointment at this establishment and the manager they have on board by the name of Ashby Roberts. I have complained to the area manager Mr. Kelley but this manager is still present. The manager Mr. McRoberts on several occasions have been rude to me and my guest on several occasions. The manager there is rude, inconsiderate, he cuts you off constantly each time your trying to state your case. One time he asked me and my guest to leave the resteraunt without gathering all the facts and after I told him the facts that it wasn't even our table that was causing the issues he apologized but didn't want to apologize. I allowed him a pass on that day bc be looked young and look like he might have been in training. But even then he was rude and abrasive to communicate with. On August 17,2016 I invited my guest to come to discuss funeral arrangements of my godsisters daughter who was 14 years old. The waitress dropped a hot plate of pasta on her shoulders which she had 1st degree burns. We asked for a manager Mr. Ashby McRoberts comes out and address having another plate of pasta made. Never mind how is the little girl. When I addressed McRoberts he was rude and said he will not give me a copy of the incident report and debated everything I said. Our whole party was in shock. I reported this to area manager Chris Kelley he said he will address the issue. What ever that means..I call to get an update on if this manager is still there on August 25,2016. Yes he's still there. His rude behavior has affected 8 different parties involved and we will not be returning to this establishment while the same management is involved. It's disgusting the level of customer service that is given at this Cheddars. I like this restaurant prices are fair, you get a large portion, it's a great place to take a large crowd. I will see that there are sometimes problems with the orders not being right but we usually enjoy yourself enough that it doesn't bother me. I don't know why but I absolutely love their fried catfish but their Stakes aren't bad either and they are about $3 cheaper than other locations. Perfect location!! I am so glad they opened cheddars in this spot. We have some many places to eat at in the area but Cheddars is different. Not like a Chili's, Not like a TGIF, Not Mexican! This place is brand spankin' new and I love that. Great ambiance and I love the huge fish tanks. It makes for an interesting time when sitting at the bar. You MUST get the Sweet Tea VODKA Drink. There is a 2 per person limit and I KNOW why. Drinks that are big for 3.50 and meals range from 6.00-15.00 I think. Great prices, good quality food, friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere make this a place I will be frequenting. I checked out the chicken tenders on this occasion with a side of broccoli cheese casserole and a salad. So Delish :) Oh and before I forget we had the queso and chips before we got down with our huge meals which made my day. I love Queso and Queso with "free" ground beef is even better.
