Chicken Fried steak, baked potato and broccoli and rice casserole.

Cheddars Scratch Kitchen deserves all of the stars. My husband and I went to Cheddars for an early dinner after a doctor's appointment. The food was fresh! He had the chicken fried steak and I had the chicken pot pie! The waitress was attentive. The store was clean! We will be back as their were other menu items we want to try!

It was a family gathering to visit my nephew for his first year of college and since he ears a lot we figure we would go somewhere coat effective. We enjoyed the fun atmosphere. The food was great especially the honey butter croissants. I enjoyed the fried fish and shrimp. Others had the fried shrimp, New Orleans Pasta, Grilled Shrimp Alfredo, Buffalo, the chicken tenders and the Classic Cheeseburger. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The best thing about the entire time was the service. It was spectacular and we were well attended to. We will be back soon.

Flooring was sinking a pipe over a floor drain with water running constantly. And a really bad smell.

Well the first wine I picked which was by Caymus they didn't have. Then ordered their famous Chicken Pot Pie and they didn't have that. Hmm I'm sitting at the bar and there is a bad smell. I can see that it looks like a cooler is missing but there is a pipe draining into a floor drain and it looks like the floor is sinking. Not what I would expect from a cheddars. I ended up getting the Chicken Fried Steak and green beans. The chicken Fried Steak was ok but Green Beans so over cooked it was like mush. Not a good experience.

Would recommend, amazing food, when I entered and got seated around the first 5-10 minutes we get honey buttered croissants for free, the area is amazing, we got a window seat and my grandpa closed the blinds which weren't an issue for me but apparently were for my grandparents, the elderly gentleman waiter who waited to us was amazing, he's one of the best waiters I've ever had in recent years, more to add on the food experience, I got a buffalo chicken wrap, and the ranch and buffalo chicken wraps were spectacular, I also got fries as a side, and i couldn't have asked for better fries. 10/10 would recommend.

Our server was attentive he came around several times checking on us. The salad was fresh and crisp. My wife really liked her chicken pot pie was delicious full of meat with a tasty cream sauce with peas and carrots. My rack of ribs was pretty good it only cost $5 more for the full rack Taste was ok at best. No smoke flavor at all. The BBQ sauce was too sweet. They were tender but also dry. The red beans and rice lacked flavor tasted straight out of the can with sausage added. The baked potato was a baked potato nothing more nothing less. We sat in the bar area every thing was neat and clean and the fish tank was well kept and was a great thing to look at.

Long wait time to get in ,nice selection ,nice server ,loud cool fans,lòng wait times to get food so over all the service is horrible like the decorations tho. Something about the shrimp and pasta boes not feel right waited forever to have a trash burger and tasted burnt missing food DO NOT COME HERE

Came for a late lunch before going to the casino. The service was great, the ambiance was casual but I didn't enjoy my meal. I ordered the Cajun chicken and only had two spoonfuls. I didn't like the pineapple taste and I didn't see where it contained pineapple otherwise I would never have ordered that. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich which was huge. We ordered the cheese curds which were good with the ranch dressing. The sweet tea was good as well. This is a nice restaurant near many restaurants in this area. Only 4 stars because I wasn't even asked about my meal.

The fried shrimp platter with fries and coleslaw. Came out quick hot very tasty!!!

I love cheddars!! Most anywhere I go they're pretty consistent even here in Georgia and I tend to sit at the bar for one on one service and that's what I got. Came here alone working looking for something that I don't cook at home the salads here are absolutely wonderful but I wanted something a little more tasty so I went for the fried shrimp because this is not something I make much at home. Bartender was on the ball head as a game and I had a couple of beers, immediately got served when I got to the bar and when I placed my order it only took maybe eight minutes to get my order and I was all set. Reading the reviews I'm not really sure why people aren't understanding this Covid world we live in as restaurants are understaffed but mostly customers have become full of hate and that's what I see in some reviews so I needed to show some love that when you are kind to people, treat them with respect the service you get will be to the level in which you treat them. Complaining that it took too long to get food when you bring 15 people in or to say the portions are smaller this is the world we're in. Prices stay the same portions get smaller to show someway to absorb higher cost and higher labor wages to keep the doors open. Even on to go orders it's important to tip. Somebody had to put the order together somebody had to get it right the chef had to cook it so all you're getting that you don't get by eating in is an extra glass of tea or another beer so they deserve to be tipped. Just food for thought but I thought the service and the food was fantastic as well as the atmosphere. I'll be back and I highly recommend!!!!

Real Southern Cooking appeared to be the tiny self-proprietor choke-and-puke that I love. Well, I tried it today. The Hunny and I have been married for 21 years, and between all of the choices, this is the one where we went for our anniversary. Real Southern Cooking looks more cafe than restaurant. Not fancy at all, just a few tables in a small area. The entire menu fits on two 8.5x11 pieces of paper on the wall. It appeals to those who say "I just want good food at a low price" - um, like me. It felt down home, too. We were surprised to see a Hispanic mama & her son behind the counter; service with a smile. The black man I expected in the back was seated at a table, finishing his lunch, and he was not only informative about the spice on everything, but friendly after witnessing us praying before eating. Some utility workers came in too, "I wish I could order everything!" It appears to be a place with a daily clientele. We both had chicken: the Hunny, chicken spaghetti, me, fried chicken. She liked hers, but found it a little spicy, like the chef included Rotel Tomatoes in the sauce. I had three small pieces, and it reminded me of extra-crunchy skin at places like Krispy Krunchy Chicken. The meat was tender and not too hot. 2 sides are included, and the amount of red beans & rice I got was larger than a mere side. Real Southern Cooking is indeed one of those places that fits the Southern diner stereotype, including the good food at a low price. Not totally Texas, but totally Southern. If you're traveling on I-10, it is located downtown, a few miles off the freeway. A few more items on the menu would take it up to 5-star territory; as you see, many Yelpers have it there now. Enjoy it now, ya hear?

As always, the restaurant was packed--which is always a great sign that something good is happening in that kitchen! My waitress, Bailey, was sweet, attentive, and very accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable. I started with a cup of their famous tomato bisque, and let me just say... I simply cannot come here without ordering it. This heartwarming soup, made with slow-roasted tomatoes, shrimp stock, cream, and Creole seasoning, is rich, comforting, and truly soothing to the soul. It remains my absolute favorite--if you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it! For my entrée, I ordered the Avocado Multi-Grain Toast. It's a light and satisfying plate featuring mashed avocado spread over thinly sliced multi-grain bread, served with your choice of sausage or bacon, an egg cooked your way, and a fresh tomato and cucumber salad. Everything on the plate was well-prepared and very tasty. If I could make one small personal tweak, I would love to see this served on a thicker slice of buttery toasted sourdough, maybe with a sprinkle of feta on top. That's just my personal preference and how I enjoy my avocado toast--others may find this version just right as is! The search continues for my perfect avocado toast, but this was a delicious and enjoyable stop along the way. Happy Sunday, and keep sharing those amazing finds on Best Bites!

On my most recent visit, I sat at the bar and started with a Buffalo Trace bourbon while looking over the menu. The bartenders here are always attentive and welcoming; in fact, the bartender remembered me from previous visits, which speaks volumes about the level of service they provide. Dinner was a ribeye cooked medium-rare with asparagus, and it was exactly what a good steak should be: perfectly cooked, with great flavor, and served hot. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. I followed that with their lemon icebox dessert and a lemon drop, both excellent, and finished the evening with a Four Roses Small Batch Select for a nightcap. What really sets J Wilson's apart is the staff's consistency and professionalism. The bartenders, servers, and kitchen team all seem to work together smoothly and take pride in the experience they deliver. Even on a busy night, with spring break crowds and daylight saving time throwing schedules off, the service remained attentive, and the food came out exactly right. If you're looking for a reliable steakhouse in Beaumont with excellent steaks, a strong bourbon selection, and top-notch service, J Wilson's is hard to beat. Five stars. Always a great experience.
