I came across CheBogz the night before searching IG for places to eat, I actually got excited and looked at all the Instagram post for CheBogz and perfect timing, Plate Of Nation week is going on now and CheBogz was one of the restaurant participating. I learned that this Brick & Mortar started as a food truck, now has a restaurant in the Beacon Hill area near the rail . The business name CheBogz is the owner's parent's nickname. There was a line when we arrived and they are very busy, there are 2 staff working taking orders and delivering food, be patient. Place your order at counter & bus your own table . Everything on the menu and the specials sounds great, I was happy to see they have a P.L.R plate ($11.) which is Pancit, Lumpia (6) and Rice, this is my all time favorite combo or any Filipino's favorite combo too. hehe. This is the best combo ever!! Ended up with the Plate of Nation combo to share Chicken Adobo (fried) with the 6 lumpia and plate of the Island Combo which came with pork ribs, shrimp, longanisa, Calamansi drink and Cassava Cake. The verdict, Wow. really tasty Filipino food, way better that the over-rated one at Pikes. I like the fried chicken adobo style with the gravy , the pancit, the lumpia, longanisa, ribs, everything was so good, major comfort foods while at Seattle. The calamansi drink was so refreshing. We loved that green sauce, first time trying, I need to learn more about that sauce. The cassava cake, omg wow!, Do not skip on this one, super GOOD! I had cassava before but this one hits different. @$8. a slice, it was so worth it. Before we left I went back to get another slice to go. All in all, so glad we got to check it out after my IG search, we loved and enjoyed every bite! Yep. We will be back next time we visit!

I came here on a Thursday evening for dinner with two friends and when I saw the island combo come out, I said, I'll get that! My favorite were the ribs, super tender and lots of great flavor. The shrimp was delicious and my third favorite was the lumpia. They have a counter with sauces you can choose from. I also purchased a slice of their ube cassava cake to go for my hubby and he loved it! I would recommend this place, lots of flavor and they're super friendly.

If I had to choose a consistent place in Seattle for comfort food, this would be the spot. CheBogz offers a wide variety of Filipino dishes that are all reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. If I had to choose, I'd say my favorite is the chicken adobo, followed by the pork sisig and then the island combo. I'm a huge fan of meals that are balanced and relatively healthy but also taste good and have larger portions, and this checks all of those boxes. I also really enjoyed their Ube milk cake (tho I do have a big bias towards ube), I want to try some of the other ube desserts they have in the future. They also offer drinks that look interesting and I'll may eventually try (and then it'll be added to this review)! The staff are super nice and friendly and the vibes inside are great for a restaurant in the beacon hill area. It's all self service which I quite enjoy for comfort food. 5/5

Great lumpia! The service was friendly and nice and the ambiance is casual. I had the chicken Adobo which was decent and filling. You do bus your own table but it's a very nice place for Filipino food overall!

Such a great spot! Located right next to the Beacon Hill light rail, it is not easy to miss and it should not be missed! If you are able to transit, that is the way to go but if that is not possible, there is free street parking throughout the nearby neighborhoods. This is more of a casual place with self seating, bussing, and ordering in the front before you sit. They have a pretty big menu and offer everything from authentic drinks, entree, and desserts. I was not lucky enough to try a dessert but I saw a couple of people with halo halo in their hand and I will need to try some the next time I am back. I got the pork sinigang which was super flavorful! Everyone at my table got something different and they reported the same thing. I have not had a lot of Filipino food in my life but I will need to look at more local spots. The service was also super fast and friendly! Overall, our visit was amazing and I will be back when I am in the area.

Have wanted to try this spot for awhile and didn't realize I wanted rice until literally 45 mins before they closed....placed an order and got it within 10 mins. The chicken adobe is really salty, the pancit was yummy, moreso with a crackling of black pepper over it. Everything mixed together is good. The Mac salad was super good, actually probably one of the best things I got. The lumpia was super delicious, super crispy, one of the best ones I've had.

I was really excited to try CheBogz after I'd heard so many great things. I ordered the pork sigsig and the beef kare kare as I was recommended by the person up front since he said they were the top sellers. The restaurant was fairly busy and as such the tables weren't cleaned after the group before us finished eating. There was a bit of wait for the door but when it was ready it came out piping hot. The pork sigsig looked like a showstopper since it came in a sizzler. Unfortunately the dish itself was quite bland. The texture of the pork was a little tough and despite being in a sizzler it was not as crispy on the outside as I would have liked. The beef kare kare wasn't much better with the curry being bland again. The meat was also very tough and chewy. The noodles on the side were overcooked and mushy and the salad was very forgettable.

Located in Beacon Hill literally steps away from the elevators for the Beacon Hill Light Rail Station. There's plenty of street parking but also is a busy area so be aware that you may need to park down a few blocks if you can't find nearby parking right away. Once we entered, we were welcomed by the friendly staff and strong umami filled aroma of what felt like home. There's plenty of seating for different party sizes as well as bar seating along the window if you're coming solo or if there are no available tables. The food came out SO quickly. Each Entree comes with Rice and Pancit which was nice. The Pancit had that acidic Calamansi taste to it which I long for whenever eating Pancit. The noodles were soft and the mixture was flavorful. You could tell that the Pork Ribs Inihaw was marinated well and the flavor was there with every bite. For the Sizzling Sisig, they use Pork Belly which is a nice change up and it meshes so well with the sides; we ended up just mixing it all up like you would normally do with Sisig. The pork had a nice texture and the sauce was very flavorful. All the flavors reminded me of home. The Cassava Cake was also very delicious. It was nice and soft to cut into as well as not too sweet which is much appreciated. Will be sure to come back in the near future.

    Lechon Kawali Special
    Sarah L.

Summary: Expensive for the price but food is good and service is great, everyone was nice not masungit (means bitchy). Food: We ordered: Kare Kare plate, Fries Sisig plate, Day special - Lechon Kawali, and Pork Sinigang on the side. Oh also ordered Ube Casava cake, Green Tea bubble tea, taro bubble tea, and mango juice with coconut milk. Every dish we ordered was great. My fav though was the Kare Kare. A plate comes with rice and pancit. But if you order special, it also comes with lumpia. I didn't care for the lumpia, in fact mine tasted old. The pancit was plain, more noodles and does not have much veggies and meat - I like my pancit that way though. But for those who like more in their pancit, you might not be happy with it. But then again it's just a side that comes in a plate order. The noodle is a a millimeter thick than usual pancit (no it's not bihon). The sisig was good. But I like mine with all fresh, not cooked, onions, also dry sisig (not saucy or wet) but again, this is a fried sisig. Overall, it's good but not the best I've had. You can also add egg if you'd like. Break the yolk and eat it with the delicious oozing yolk. The plate comes with pancit and rice. The kare kare was the bomb! Meat was tender, sauce was not runny but no so think. I could still taste the peanut flavor but bot too much. Lechon kawali special was good, juicy and crispy, but portion was on the tiny side. For the price, I was hoping for more meat. It just felt like the kawali was a side dish. Nevertheless, it was good. Pork sisig, wow! This one comes with lots of meat and the broth was so good like they used fresh tamarind to prep it. Desert was sweet but not too much. It was moist and edges were chewy - something for everyone. Portion was big enough to share with 4 people after having all the dishes. The bible tea, I didn't try but according to my kids, they were good. But they like the taro most. I had mango with coconut milk which was creamy and just enough sweet but still quenched my thirst. Space: Tiny space but folks don't tend to linger after eating so that was thoughtful and courteous. Casual. You also bust your own table. Sauces at the side counter up front. Bathroom: There is a code. Clean. Parking: street parking or park across.

Small but cozy place, great service, fast and friendly. The food was terrific! Not sure if it is authentic but is delicious. We order the best sellers and tried the Sizzling Fried Sisig, the chicken adobo and the Mac salad. Give it a try, it will not disappoint.

Nice little cafe like spot! Food was delicious. Right on Beacon so find parking behind or across the street and a little walk over right next to the light rail. Plenty of space for seating, self serve sauces and self buss table after you order at the front before sitting down. Food was delicious, serving was plentiful. I've definitely had butter Filipino food elsewhere, but this place hits the spot.

One of the best place to get Filipino food south of Seattle! I got the island combo which was delicious! Friendly service, food was flavorful and good portion sizes! I highly recommend and would come back!

    Shannen B.

(I'm Filipino as a heads up) Overall service is great. You go up to the counter and make your order. You just have to bus your own dishes which is fine. Tilapia was perfectly fried and was a good size. I think the portion of pancit and rice was way too much in proportion to the meat though. Pancit/rice were a bit dry, kinda like they were sitting out.

We ordered the Shroom Shroom Fried Rice with chicken, Pancit Canton noodles with chicken, Fried Oink Oink Adobo, and a Pandan Old Fashioned. The standout dish was easily the Shroom Shroom Fried Rice--packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The Pancit Canton noodles were another winner, full of savory flavor and perfectly cooked. The Fried Oink Oink Adobo was tangy, rich, and satisfying, though I was surprised it didn't come with a side of rice. For drinks, the Pandan Old Fashioned was well-made with a subtle pandan flavor that complemented rather than overpowered the cocktail. Service was friendly and efficient, and all of the food arrived fresh and surprisingly quickly. The atmosphere is vibrant and casual, with a comfortable dining room and a few bar seats. We made a reservation, but on a Sunday evening there were plenty of open tables, making for a relaxed dining experience. Our office gets a list of the weekly offerings on Monday, so when I heard that later in the week there would be Salu-Salo Filipino Kitchen, bringing Filipino food, I most definitely made lunch plans. I was coming in from a meeting in Fremont, so didn't go to the pop-up/Salu-Salo Filipino Kitchen as soon as it started service (around 11am). With that said, I nearly missed out on the chicken adobo! I took the last of the chicken adobo an hour and a half after the lunch service started, so was counting my blessings! I ordered the lunch plate, which came with chicken adobo, pancit, rice and pickled veggies. My lunch plate was solid. Chicken adobo was tender and really, really liked how vinegar-y the flavor was, which, any Filipino would tell you that all food tastes better with vinegar! Pancit wasn't bad, but not the best. Some of the noodles were on the dry side, but I did like the cabbage and green onion throughout. Pickled veggies were a nice addition, adding more sour flavor to the overall entree. For someone who hardly ever has Filipino food and desperately misses mom's cooking, I was just happy to have Salu-Salo bring some adobo to the area. I would definitely recommend checking out Salu-Salo if you ever see their stand around. They don't update their social media channels, unfortunately, so is a little difficult to find where their stand will be. And when I asked if they participate in any markets, they do not. But the owners did mention that they visit downtown Seattle often at other office buildings around. Therefore, I have a feeling I'll be seeing them soon and getting my Filipino cuisine on. For example, my favorite dish on the menu is the Laing Express, which is made with coconut milk, taro leaves, topped with a delicious crispy piece of pork belly. With a topping of pork belly, how could anything go wrong? This dish has an amazing earthy flavor, with a bit of a kick to it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Rosario's cuisine feels like a healthy take on comfort food. Each dish bursting with flavor, yet still accessible to all ages. The idea behind comfort food is all about the thought that goes into the prep. After tasting Salu-Salo's food, I promise you can tell a lot of care goes into the preparation of each dish. The pork adobo was tender and flavorful, the longanisa was perfectly seasoned, and the salmon sinigang had a rich, comforting broth. The lumpia was crispy and fresh. We also appreciated the complimentary soup and rice. The longanisa came with pancit, which complemented the dish perfectly and made the meal even more satisfying. The food tasted authentic and homemade, and the portions were generous. The friendly service and great Filipino food make this a must-visit spot in Pike Place Market. We will definitely be back! To be honest, I don't know why this place is so hyped. If you come expecting life changing Filipino food, then you'll probably be disappointed. But if you just want some solid home style cooking, then this is for you. This place is famous for their salmon sinigang but they always run out super fast (like before 12 on weekends), so if you want some, you better come early. They usually have the sinigang broth with small pieces of salmon that you can get with your food though. I think the best things here are the longanisa and the bangus head. The longanisa is homemade and packed with flavor. I loved how fatty and rich it was and the strong flavors paired with rice and vinegar are so good. The bangus head is also really good. The skin is super crispy and the meat is tender and fresh. I must emphasize that you have to get the head. The body is too lean and the meat was pretty dry. The adobo has good flavor but I also felt that the meat was dry.

But I needed to order and pickup food for a potluck, and FilCuisine is the nearest place to get Filipino food for me. So I gave it another chance. Pancit bihon and lechon kawali were excellent. Now, service is still an issue. There was one server/cashier and I felt really sorry for her. She was doing her best to keep a smile on her face, and I wanted to give her flowers or something. So maybe until they get their staffing fixed you can consider getting takeout instead? I will -- I'm a lazy cook who constantly craves for food from home. I'm rooting for you, FilCuisine -- fighting!

Even though it was little dried and hard on the edges. Could be expected due to the process of oven then fried. But, it seems it was chopped up before fried, hence more crispy edges than fried first and chopped up later. That is my assumption. It came with a large bowl of rice and more than enough for two. And I love the sauce that comes with it. Sour and not too salty. If you like German pork hock, you must try this crispy pork hock. Values for money is 5/5 Located in a plaza with huge parking lot. Service is on par.
