We were right next door for dessert and my daughter wanted to have one of their subs, let's do it. I've not been in a Cheba Hut, can't believe it. Large restaurant with lots of seatings and a full bar. Love this for a sandwich shop! We ordered our orders and my daughter said I'll definitely enjoy it. Didn't know what to expect. She ordered something that was not on the menu. And I did the chicken teriyaki one. While we waited, we were greeted and provided some fun activities that's happening daily or so at this location. Lots of very happy ppl here and casual sandwiches location. Subs taste amazing. I was actually quite surprised. Nice toasted bread with layers of flavors. Really great experience here. Honestly I'm not sure why I always order from here. It's usually late at night when not much else is open and I'm always disappointed. The staff are sweet angels but the food just sucks The sandwich taste sloppy and the food just isn't good quality. I don't know how to explain it but the food looks way better than it taste :( read more

We left a birthday party earlier than anticipated and stopped here for dinner on the way back home. My LTP and I both had Cheba Hut at least once in the past and their subs are pretty darn good. It's almost springtime (but it actually feels like summer) and they have a lot of spring decorations inside to celebrate the change of seasons. They also have a small bar inside and a very spacious patio outside, which I don't recall their Stephanie location (where I went when I first tried them out) having. Their beer selection is also pretty decent, featuring a few local beers, such as Atomic Duck from Able Baker. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think you can only order beer at the bar. If you've seen all my previous sub/sandwich shop reviews, you know that I love tuna! And yes, I did order a tuna sub here, called the Pacific Blue in a 12" sub, and this is what I had last time as well. My LTP got the La Canna, also in a 12" sub. Both subs came in white bread, but I definitely want to try the garlic bread option next time. It wasn't busy at all so we easily found a table while we waited for our order to come out and take it back with us. My Pacific Sub had two full pickles on each side. I've seen chopped pickles inside subs but not full pickles, so this was interesting. The La Canna had all sorts of meats inside, combined with the usual lettuce, onion and tomato. I did have my eye on their Pizza Sub, but changed my mind and got the Pacific Sub at the last minute. I got two things in mind that I want to try out next time; their subs on garlic bread and their Pizza Sub. Both sound very delicious! read more

Vibrant, artsy decor inside. Staff is very friendly and provide great, quick service. The names for their menu items also make me giggle. Definitely better than your typical chain deli subs. The veggies are crisp and the sauces are packed with flavor. There could be a bit more meat in their sandwiches. I would also be careful with which sandwich you choose. You almost have to have the munchies to enjoy them. Some of the chicken subs are definitely mid. I stick with the deli meat ones. I do appreciate that they have rice crispy treats that melt in your mouth and aren't rock hard. read more

There is a special place in my heart for Cheba hut! It's like a firehouse subs, but on steroids. The restaurant is psychedelically, decorated in the menu, comes with a flare of herbal Woodstock. I really only get one sandwich here which is the white widow and for good reason it is a chicken bacon ranch that I put on soft pillowy garlic bread. It really is to die for. They have Kool-Aid, which is a unique choice along with other sodas. I have yet to try the desserts, but they look very good with brownies and cookies being the staple. This place is so good! Some of the girls at my apartment complex suggested this cute sandwich place with a full bar and daily specials. Bonus points because they're open late and full bar with daily specials. I love the kitschy decor and the fact that they have a 4 inch option so you can try out different sandwiches. First visit, which was an add-on through Door Dash. These are great subs! Just enough bread (I choose the garlic), and it's toasted with a light crunch on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Lots of yummy toppings and sauce. I didn't do the shake because I'm not into Parmesan cheese, but honestly didn't even miss it because the sub had so much flavor! The Midwest Best was super yummy and the Kali Mist looks great, I was too full to try it - perfect lunch for tomorrow! Door Dash arrived fast with the order and the subs were warm and packed in foil. So happy I finally got to try this place! Perfect for late night dinner after a couple games of pickleball! I ordered the large G-13 sandwich to split with my boyfriend. It's a footlong sandwich and it was perfect for the two of us! I ordered it with the garlic herb bread which was amazing!! The sandwich was perfectly toasted and flavorful with every bite. I love how much meat and filling they give you as well too. The G-13 is roast beef and turkey with bacon and cheese inside. Service was very friendly and they were patient with us deciding what to get. They have a huge variety of sandwiches for every palette. There are a lot of tables inside for small and large groups. They have card games to play! It's definitely a stoner vibe with the menu and art decor so keep that in mind if you bring your kids in. My go to sandwich is whatever version of an Italian sub is, so in this case I had to grab the 5-0. Ironic to have such a tasty police sub at a weed themed restaurant, but this sub was excellent. Perfectly balanced ratio of meat and toppings and just the right amount of dressing. The garlic herb bread was fresh, nicely toasted on the outside and soft on the inside. I got the 12" sub (blunt sized) and it hit the spot. My wife got the meatball sub and had nothing but positive things to say. The service was a great both the woman who took my order and the one who made the sub were super nice and helpful. They also have a bingo night that I've got to try to get to some time! Their menu was extensive, all of which gives you a family friendly stoner vibe (never thought I'd put that word combination together). Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. We ordered 3 subs and waited less than 10 minutes. Taste: reminded me of a better spin on Quizno's. Definitely better than Port of Subs, Jimmy John, and Subway. About on par or slightly better (depending on the sandwich choice) with Jersey Mike's, Capriottis, and Earl of Sandwich. As a former connoisseur of Quizno's, I definitely recommend eating a toasted sub fresh on the spot before sogginess sets in. read more

The garlic bread did not do it for me. It was just a bit dry for me and the marinara sauce was okay. The ranch was good a bit watery. The soda cup is cool, cool design. The sandwich never disappoints. So good and fresh not overbearing with bacon either. it fills you up but you don't free gross. I love the honey Sriracha in the sandwich I think it makes this sandwich even better. Definitely one of my favorite places to pick when I want a sandwich. Came here for lunch and did a take out! The vibes are pretty cool here and the staff was amazing. I ordered the La Canna on Parmesan bread and my husband ordered the 5-0 (ALL THE PIG, BABY) on white bread. Both subs were very similar, and might I add very delicious! The subs were very packed with protein, which I appreciate! The veggies were all fresh and the bread was nicely toasted and held everything together! The great thing is the bread did not get soggy. Went in to get dinner to go and ordered the La Canna sandwich and pretzel nugs. The sandwich was fresh and filling. The nugs were salty but good. Staff was nice and got my order ready within a reasonable time. They had a bar that I was shocked no one was at. Unfortunately I was on my way to work so couldn't have a drink but would love to go back for one. Loved their beautiful murals covering the walls and that they had LGBTQ flags hanging up everywhere...makes me want to support them even more. I get mine with the signature garlic herb bread. It comes warm and toasted with the signature Shake & house dressing which is so flavorful and delicious. The Sub's bread is lightly toasted, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sandwiches here don't disappoint. They are soft, warm, fresh, and very flavorful. They have many subs to choose from including veggie options if you don't eat meat. If you come with the munchies don't forget to get the Krispy cereal bites that are gooey with marshmallow goodness :) Service here at this location has always been great so far! Friendly staff. Had the cream cheese griefo on white and French dip sandwiches. The Griefo was tasty and filling for the medium 8". Probably need a side item if you're going for a full belly. The tip screen goes from left to right 25% down to 18% and for getting your own drinks as well as ordering at the counter I went further to the right. Plenty of tv screens to watch paws TV, or several other options, and the music was at a good volume. Good golly is this place good! I am so happy that they opened up a Cheba Hut on this side of town. I have went a few times now, cycling between a 5-0 and an Italian and all times have been great. The ingredients always taste super fresh and they load their sandwiches up with lots of goodies. They have preset combinations, and you can adjust them as you like! They also have lots of yummy sweet treats and other small goodies to try (which I have yet to, but they always look fresh and delicious every time I go). I think this is my fifth time here. That kali mist on garlic is a definite must try. I haven't had anything even close to a bad experience here. Best toasted subs in town (in my opinion). I get Cheba Hut at least once a week, if not twice. The Kali Mist is so good, my 2yo son loves the meat balls (bowl o balls), and they carry my favorite Miss Vickie's chips. Always clean and everyone is nice there.
