    Outdated menu prices
    Nick T.

The dinner menu displayed on Yelp is outdated by years! The prices are almost double to what as they appear on this site. Someone should adjust the menu accordingly and add/delete changes to the menu. Go to the restaurant's actual web site to see what it really cost to dine here.

We were able to bring our own flowers to decorate the tables in the morning. The Chart Room was very accommodating and supportive.

We held my husband's memorial luncheon at The Chart Room here on Saturday, and it far exceeded our expectations! The Chart Room was my husband's favorite place to eat in the summer. He had been going there since the 80's - long before we were married. The owner, David Jarvis, met with my daughters and I, and graciously offered the room behind the piano for our event. He also created a custom menu that was within my budget and printed copies for each place setting. He also allowed my daughters and I to come early before the service and bring flowers for each table and set up the dessert table. The servers were friendly and gracious. They took the drink orders and kept the alcohol separate from my meal tab. The food for the luncheon was exceptional! Our guests were impressed with the waterfront location, the cozy room, the and not only the many entree choices but the side choices as well. I will be forever grateful to David Jarvis, Todd for letting the girls and I in early to set up and the wonderful servers (I'm sorry I didn't hear the names) who took care of our guests on the day we honored my husband. The Chart Room will forever be our beloved place for commemorating an event. Thank you for everything!

This might read as a bit of a strange review but it needs to start in a strange way. We were at Parkers Boat Yard on a mooring and called for the water taxi to come take us to the Chart Room. While in the taxi I said I was hoping the food was better than last time and a man popped up and said " there are two chefs.. one does a great job but the other not so much.. if you are lucky enough to get the better of the two you will enjoy yourself." Well we got lucky and everything was yummy. I opted for a Reuben not feeling like a big meal and he opted for scallops. Our appy was clams casino. Everything was spot on.. right down to our martinis. All delicious.. It was packed with people but we got inside in no time as everyone else wanted outside seating which made us even happier! Our server was Luke who did a good job.. I think he was a bit of a rookie but really tried to tend to us.. the reason there is 4 stars and not 5 is because the service was slow.. they had tons of young people running their butts off to do the best they could but if the kitchen is slow it's not their fault. Thank you a wonderful meal.

This place was so great with amazing service. We had a larger party, which they were able to accommodate. Our server, Martina, was awesome. She gave us recommendations of where to go around the area and wrote down the addresses for us. The food was also really good. I had the schrod with a baked potato and it was delicious. There was no fried food on the menu, which I found really interesting. Definitely a place to check out if you're in Cape Cod.

Went to the Chart Room with @websterbuffa88 and my In-Laws for a late Wedding Anniversary Dinner, we got a Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing, I got the Swordfish Tacos with Homemade Potato Salad and Anchovie Butter, Elizabeth got Baked-Stuffed Lobster and Homemade Potato Salad, everything was delicious and so good, we love this Restaurant, our Waitress was really nice and Hard Working, definitely going back again

Lobster Salad, Grilled Cheese & Tomato and Cole Slaw.

I have eaten lobster rolls throughout New England and the Chart Room has the best. You can even have it served in a delicious tomato.

Delicious Lobster Salad in a hard, flavorless, unseasoned tomato. Delicious potato salad.

We got both fresh offerings of oysters to start.- so good. For beverages, I had a Maine IPA & Kate had a pear pressure. We really enjoyed them both. Kate got the Seafood Pot Pie. The good news is we try each others meals. An absolute home run! The scrod, lobster, scallops and shrimp were perfect. Add in Newburg sauce asparagus and spinach, top it with a puff pastry to soak up the sauce-10 out of 10. There is a reason it's a house favorite. I had the baked seafood trio. Shrimp, scrod and scallops, with baked potato and asparagus. 2 u-15 shrimp, 3oz of fresh Chatham scrod and 3 local scallops, done in a lemon beurre blac. A small portion of each but delicious. The baked potato was just like you would hope. Asparagus was underdone, by our tastes, but not knocking the rating over that. Overall 8/10. Will try the blackened mahi mahi next visit. Kate's not budging from the seafood pot pie Our server Taryn was nice and busy. They have runners who are all over the place. Owner? out picking up plates and checking every time to make sure we were happy. Nearly half of my life was spent in the front of the house-that's how I treated every person I encountered in my establishments. This place was crazy busy. Every server, food runner, host etc had a genuine smile. Customers were happy, among them, many locals. Our take; if you are here for a few days or a while, make it a point to enjoy a meal here. Pretty confident you'll be happy you did.

In my experience one can tell a lot from a restaurant's name. With cliche names like "Quarterdeck," "Fisherman's Catch," etc. it's almost guaranteed to be average at best. I don't know why but it's usually true. I got a clam roll which turned out to be a mistake. I got it because I wanted a smaller portion than the platter. But the clams were oversized for a roll and too few in number so it was hard to eat. Good for a platter but for a roll, smaller clams and more of them would be better. But the clams though were fresh, cooked correctly, and the batter was decent, not outstanding. The roll was toasted and buttered, and a small lettuce leaf completed the sandwich. My biggest complaint was the tartar sauce, homemade, which was a disaster. Tasted of little more than plain mayonnaise. Unfortunately the fries were almost room temperature. I wasn't going to say anything but when the waitress came by and asked I told her. She apologized, took them away, and returned with a new platter of fries, a very large portion, and scaldingly hot. I was no longer so hungry but ate a good fraction of them, as leaving them after she brought a replacement just seemed rude. They weren't very good though; greasy and the oil didn't taste fresh. To drink I had a "mocktail" version of a Moscow Mule. It was way too sweet. Without the bite of alcohol it needed something else to tone down the sweetness. It wasn't cheap either. I should have just had a plain ginger ale. I would recommend trying someplace else instead. Lots of choices in the area.

No one else serves a spicy lobster roll like this, with tomatillo salsa and spicy mayonnaise mixed in with a generous serving of lobster meat on a butter toasted bun. Barking Claw's rolls are extremely affordable compared to most of the overpriced and forgettable lobster rolls you'll find elsewhere in the region, and, like an authentic cape lunch spot, they offer Cape Cod Potato Chips as an add-on. My family are diehard fans of Barking Claw, typically buying one of the first lobster rolls of the season and we're some of the last customers before the cold weather arrives. So we were delighted when Tom accepted our proposal to cater our rehearsal dinner in my parents' backyard in August. He set up in our driveway and he and his staff served our 50 guests all the spicy and regular lobster rolls they could handle, in addition to stuffed quahogs (a New England favorite) and a delicious selection of salads and side dishes we worked on together to come up with. He even found a way to include the previously retired salmon-bacon BLT sandwiches on the menu. Barking Claw has become a Cape Cod staple, so go see what all the hype is about!

We appreciated the creativity of the roll, you don't find a lot of places on the cape trying to be different. We were on the cape for the summer and wanted something different. This was the 6th lobster roll we tried during our summer. This is more like a stand that you would find at a festival. I knocked a star off for the setting. I've come across a lot of these food stands all over the US, and they try the make the best of their low budget location and try to make a cute outdoor seating experience. They have one picnic bench, and the some more seating at this random building right by with rusty chairs. Some folks like us traveled an hour from another place on the cape to try this roll, us Chatham. We aren't taking it home, and had to eat it there. Wasn't any effort made to have outdoor seating. No table settings, lights, streamers nothing. Just one park bench. The roll itself is good, not the best but good and creative. It isn't spicy at all, more like a ketchup mayo on top. The celery dressing, gave it a nice crunch. The lobster is pre-measured in saran wrap. I get that for controlling your cost, it's just a cheap look to watch. Just have a scale and measure there. We got the roll pretty quickly as there wasn't much of a line on a Saturday in July at 11:30. I appreciated the creativity. I think this place could be 5 star with some tweaks on the roll and the setting. I think they could even add some more unique rolls. I want to give it a 3, but I just can't with it being a small business. I think they are on to something that people want a unique approach to a lobster roll. Worth a try, but I wouldn't stress it at its current state.
