Clam chowder with a single serving of Tabasco sauce.
    Pete B.

We are in Boston for the night and after doing some sightseeing and tours, I made reservations at the Chart House. Excellent decision. Food quality was on its game. We tried everything, from the clam chowder, to mussels, to meatballs to prime rib to the creme brulee sampler. With a white wine flight to drink during dinner. Service can make or break the best of establishments. Juan took care of us and I need a 7 star button on here for him. From the second we sat down to the second we left, he was always there to take care of whatever we needed. Helpful and courteous. He wasn't "hovering" but also wasn't non-existent. Hopefully that makes sense. Great sense of humor and very personable. From the gentleman that checked us in to the crew we talked to on the way out, everyone made you feel very comfortable and welcomed. To top it off, we used their valet service to park. When we got out, our car was sitting right out front waiting for us. Has to be a coincidence but all the stars were aligned for us.

First time trying oysters and am glad that I tried them here! This was a stop on our food tour and we were coming in for oysters and shrimp (prawns it seemed when we got them). I had never had oysters before so I was a bit nervous. They were massive when they came out, also coming with cocktail sauce and horseradish. Our tour guide recommended stirring the sauce and horseradish in so I figured, "why not? Try the entire experience all at once." It was....a lot and I'm not too sure if I'd seek oysters regularly. However, I am glad I tried them here. I don't think if I got them somewhere else that they would be prepared correctly and offered in such an elegant way. The entire restaurant is really cool inside too. A lot of historical things to look at and original wood all over the restaurant.

My wife and I decide to stop in for their happy hour after reviewing their online menu. We arrived at 4 PM, what I believe the website noted was the beginning of happy hour, only to find out it was actually 4:30 PM! That was OK! Manuela and Danny took great care of us. Manuela whipped us up some great cocktails while we waited. I really enjoyed my Four Roses Manhattan and my wife absolutely loved her bourbon and chocolate cocktail! After perusing the lounge menu and comparing it against the happy hour menu, we decided to go ahead and order off the lounge menu. I ordered their fish tacos, substituting a Caesar salad salad in lieu of their french fries while my wife ordered their prime rib, sliders as described. Our meals came out relatively quickly. I must say my fish tacos and Caesar salad were absolutely delicious! My wife enjoyed her prime rib sliders immensely; however, the French fry presentation could've been better and the au jus was just over the top salty. After another four roses, Manhattan, we decided on a dessert of Boston cream pie. It turned out not to be a classic Boston cream pie, but still a very tasty variation, indeed! We really appreciated Manuela giving us the history of the building and encouraged us to walk around and take it all in! What a superb ending to a day of sightseeing! Thank you!

Delicious dinner of steak and lobster. And a refreshing Mai tai to go with it. I would recommend this restaurant.

This has always been a fav of mine and it did not disappoint. The inside is so old world with amazing ambiance. I sat at the bar and they let me charge my phone. The bartenders were busy but still managed to take care of me. The new england clam chowder reminded me no one does it better than new england. Beware the chives on top if you are not a fan. My entree was the lobster and shrimp carbonara. Not heavy and the added cheese on top gave it extra Zaz. Can't wait for my next trip to boston.

Went to the restaurant on Monday around 5 o'clock we were immediately seated upstairs. Customer service was on point. Our waitress was amazing. She made solid recommendations. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. My lobster risotto was so good. The risotto was creamy. Salad was fresh and crisp. The chocolate old-fashioned was the best old-fashioned. I've had my friends had the prime rib and could not stop talking about it if you're in town, give it a try.

Food was great! They over cooked my steak by just a little but still good. Nice, clean restaurant.

We ate here over the weekend to celebrate my dad's graduation from Harvard. We were all in town from Wisconsin, and while we have been to other Chart House locations, this was our first visit to the Boston location. The building is absolutely gorgeous - formerly the John Hancock Counting House, I loved that it was steeped in rich New England history. The staff was very kind, but my dad walks very poorly, and we were disappointed that they weren't able to accommodate our request to be on the first floor instead of the third. Considering there is no elevator, and there are a lot of stairs, it made it hard on my dad. That alone is the reason I am giving this restaurant 3 stars. The food was delicious, and I was thrilled that there were so many seafood options, given that we were right on the wharf. The New England Clam Chowder was by far the best I have ever tasted. Creamy with succulent clams and potatoes, I wished I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup! For my entree, I chose the shrimp linguine, and it was very good. I enjoyed the pesto in the dish, as well as the crispy prosciutto. For dessert, I opted for the lava cake - a staple in our family, we always get it when we go to a Chart House location.

HERB CRUSTED + SLOW ROASTED PRIME RIB (Chart House - 10oz)

I would've never thought I'd get one of the best prime ribs at this spot, but I did! I'll admit, I haven't tried that many different prime ribs, but Chart House nailed it tonight. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and unbelievably delicious! The 3 potato garlic mash it's served with was awesome too. I also got the lobster bisque to start and that was also the best I've had thus far. The ambiance is very fitting and gives a cozy vibe. Our server was also amazing and went above and beyond for us. Truly a great dining experience. Highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed my meal here, the coconut crispy shrimp was delicious, the Caesar salad was a bit strong on the anchovy part but it was not bad. The cheesecake was delicious. I personally enjoyed the texture of the shrimp and the sweet chili oil the best.

We tried a variety of oysters, cocktail shrimp, and the razor clams which we heard were amazing. All I'm gonna say is, I would have been annoyed if I waited in line for hours for the items we got. The cocktail shrimp was decent - it was a good size, juicy, and delicious. The razor clams were a miss. Rubbery and too many other things in the dish overshadowing the clams. We got two different kinds of fresh clams which my husband said were okay. I'm not a fan of fresh clams. I had eaten at The Daily Catch's Brookline location years ago (it no longer exists), and I always…read moreremember it as a great meal. So when I was visiting Boston with my husband two weeks ago, I thought this Waterfront location would be a great spot for dinner on our first night in Boston. The family behind The Daily Catch opened their first business in Boston (in the North End) in 1973 - a small storefront selling calamari. Since then, it's become a bit of an institution in Boston, with several locations and now a full-service, large-menued Sicilian-style seafood and pasta restaurant. I waited an hour outside their Brookline location when I ate there years ago, and the wait was worth it. People who have eaten at their North End location may remember waiting for a bit, too. But this Waterfront location? THEY TAKE RESERVATIONS. Hallelujah. We had a reservation for around 8pm on Friday night and were seated at our table right away upon arriving. The restaurant is beautiful but understated - not flashy or too modern - with indoor and outdoor patio seating. The service was top notch. Our server was PJ, and he was incredible - helpful, friendly, always checking in with us. But even other people stopped by to make sure we didn't need anything. The menu is pretty large, and I wanted A LOT OF IT. Unfortunately, we were only two people and had to order responsibly. We shared the stuffed calamari (calamari stuffed with herbed bread crumbs, pine nuts, and raisins, and served in their red sauce); a Caesar salad (classic, and we added anchovies on top); their black pasta aglio olio (ground calamari, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, romano cheese, and parsley); and their monkfish marsala (pan-seared monkfish medallions with mushrooms in a marsala wine butter sauce). What I loved? That stuffed calamari. I had it almost ten years ago when I ate at their Brookline location. I remembered it, and we had it again. It's an incredible dish. There's a reason their black pasta aglio olio is so popular. It's a classic and very delicious. The ground calamari is such a nice touch, and the dish is fresh and super garlicky and delicious. (They serve their pastas in the pan - it's something they are known for - a charming touch!) I also think their drink menu is great. I had a great glass (or two?) of wine white from Sicily (Pietradolce Etna Bianco - a 100% Carricante grape wine from the Northern slopes of Mount Etna), while my husband had a cocktail (or two?). The only thing that kept this from being an absolutely perfect dinner was the monkfish marsala. The monkfish was cooked beautifully cooked, but I found the sauce very off. It was bizarre - it tasted like maple syrup to me. I think the marsala was too sweet or not cooked out enough or - is it possible?! - something was added for additional sweetness and the balance was off. Way too sweet for me with the fish. We ate the fish but tried to get as much off the sauce off as possible. The only miss in a meal that was otherwise wonderful in service, ambiance, food, and drink! The Daily Catch is a classic for a reason. If you've always wanted to try it, this Waterfront location is great - since they do take reservations here! Great Sicilian food in the heart of Boston.

The calamari, squid ink aglio olio pasta, and clam pasta have been my go-to orders since I found out about Daily Catch a few years back. My favorite bite has to be some of their bread dipped in the delicious garlic oil from the squid ink pasta with a bit of the garlic chunks and squid bits. It truly brings me joy. My friend recently recommended I try their shrimp scampi, either as an appetizer or as a pasta dish. This will definitely become part of my regular order - the shrimp are so plump and they're smothered in this savory, rich, garlicky sauce that is simply to die for. All in all, I can't recommend this place enough. Can't speak to their non-seafood options, but when it comes to seafood pasta, there is absolutely no competition. It was a great choice! Beautifully decorated and oh so chill inside. We have a thing that we do at places with great appetizers. We just order a bunch of those and feast. That's what we did here! We started with some raw oysters. They were very nice indeed. Island Creek Oysters from Duxbury MA. is where they came from. We love the little local Junts a lot and had them all over the northeast while we were there. We also had Crab Rangoon Dip. Very good, lots of fresh lump crabmeat, with a house chili crisp, scallions, and wonton chips. Loved it! They we had some fantastic mussels to close the deal! The flavor was amazing! I wish I could have them every single day! We also had a bowl of BPH Clam Chowder. CC is one of my favorite things and this place did not disappoint in any way! Delicious!! The server was great. She took great care and made our last night in Boston an unforgettable experience. If you are near, you should go right now! Why aren't you there yet? '26 - 108

Not only did she not kick us out, she proceeded to help him understand how a bloody mary should be constructed. She might have thought he was special. Stern, but fair.
