You're in Bismarck North Dakota. So for where you're at, this place is on point. From the food to the service to the amazing selection of tequila. For those more adventurous they have mescal and crystalina. If you ask any of the servers they'll know what you're talking about. I would definitely recommend this location if you're in the mood for great Mexican food. I recommended the carne asada, their fresh guacamole that they make right in front of you. We got the Parrillada for 2. There was plenty of food and feed us for lunch too! The shrimp were a little over cooked and the chorizo were cut up so tiny that it was hard to tell what it was. Would've preferred chunks of chorizo but it was still good. Chips and salsa is tasty. This would definitely be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Bismarck and it's worth coming to. read more

I spent 117.00, and then every time I called to get the name of the manager who refused to provide a paid for cake and sung happy birthday they hung up on me!! BEWARE. My family and I have been huge fans for a long time, but I just had the worst dining experience of my life. I got one of the only 2 dishes I order, because I know what I like and I don't really like surprises. My Grandma, who was with, doesn't really like to make decisions on her own so she got the same. For some reason when they re-worked the menu they switched the sauce on the dish from a white cheese sauce, so we both asked to sub for that instead. After we had been waiting for quite a while, our server came and said there were mistakes with the food in the kitchen, but they were remaking it, which was all good. Then our food came out and I could immediately tell that is wasn't right. My family asked how my food was and I said the sauce wasn't right. My mom, who had ordered an entree that came with the SAME sauce, tasted it and could tell something wasn't right. We told the server and she said I was wrong, and then asked if we wanted to speak to a manager. We said yes, then the manager came out and proceeded to tell me the same thing, even though you could tell just by looking at it. So I waited for my family to finish, when the server came she asked if I wanted a box for the food that I just complained about. Then we told her that we obviously didn't want it, that's why I complained and then didn't eat it. Then she came back with the ticket, and then with a whole lot of attitude said that she would've taken off the food, but we showed too much attitude. Then we went to talk to the manager and she fought with us about getting the food removed. Long story short, horrible service and I WILL NOT return. read more

Wow! I was visiting Bismarck and someone recommended Charras. I went straight from where I was working for the week and glad I did, they already had a line and it was the middle of the week. Seat for one - got me in straight away. I ordered the Charras Special. I enjoyed the chips and salsa, my meal arrived quickly and it was great! AMAZING!!! My boyfriend and I had a hotel within walking distance to this restaurant, and this was our best choice yet!! Ordered a burrito supreme, the meat was cooked just right! The cheese sauce on top was mouth watering, and I actually had a nice size of both guacamole and sour cream. After a couple of margaritas we finished off with fried ice cream!! The outside wire characters are the draw for this restaurant as the food isn't. If you've never been outside Bismarck then maybe this is as good as it gets but believe me, it was not good. There has to be better Mexican in Bismarck. read more

There's a reason why this place is always packed. If you can't get in on your first try, do try again. If anything, bring something, and seriously wait that 15 minutes or whatever it is, and play cards with your friends or family....honestly, even if the wait is for whatever reason an hour, wait it out. This was a great restaurant. The whole family went there and was so happy to see a wonderful diverse crowd and staff. We had three people tending to our table, all were great and friendly. I have a severe allergy to tomato so Mexican cuisine is problematic but the staff took extra caution to make sure I did not have issues. Everyone raved about their foods.
