Charming Nails - Love my special nail design - Nail Salons Near Me - Morton Grove, Illinois

Really happy with my nails and the overall experience at this nail salon! The owner is extremely friendly and attentive. They are so careful and precise with your nails. Their prices are incredibly reasonable. I love that this business is a Latino run salon! How cool! To write an unbiased review, I did not reveal that I too, am Latino. The few times they spoke Spanish, they never spoke a bad word about a customer and that meant a lot to me. I appreciate how slowly and delicately they removed my dip nails as to not ruin my natural nails. I sent over my mom who was really impressed and very excited to try them out. I really hope this place gets more of the attention they deserve! They only thing, because they are so diligent, they do take a bit of time for their work. read more

I was a first time customer and now a last time customer. I had some gel removed and had my nails cut down and a no chip manicure that last exactly 3 days. The nail technician I had did not speak English nor it seemed did she have a lot of experience doing nails. The one person that could communicate with her left so I couldn't even ask her to do something different as she filed my nails in a manner I do not prefer. I couldn't wait for her to be done and to be out of there, never again will I return read more

This salon has the longest-lasting no-chip manicure I have ever had! I found them in November and have been going back for my pedicure and no-chip manicure ever since. Their color choice is outstanding, and Jane, who is the lead aesthetician, always has great recommendations and runs the salon with organization and humor! I am a one-color person, but the artistic nails I've seen others get are nothing less than spectacular! I feel well taken care of as a client and have been working on improving my Spanish with the friendly nail technicians. Bonus- they speak Spanish! Another plus is that they are in a small mall, and have ample parking! I encourage you to try this wonderful salon and utilize their services. read more

Went into this establishment hoping to get the hair color off my freshly manicured no chip I work in the same strip mall. The lady was rude and said she wouldn't recommend just fixing the nail without a full manicure. I was confused and asked why???? She responded with I can't guarantee a no chip if it chips tomorrow it's on you. Uh...... What? I would of had no problem paying for a full manicure if I hadn't of got one the day before...... All I wanted was the hair color off my nail and she refused...... She basically said if you don't pay for a full no chip manicure get out!!!!! I will never send any of my clients there ever again. read more

I was recommended to go into Charming Nails from my friend that has been there for a simple manicure. I got a no chip manicure and pedicure. The service was great and the ladies were very nice! My nails are short and this was a last minute option to get my nails done. The lady did an exceptional job on my nails and aimed for perfection. My nails are perfect! Thank you so much! Definitely would come back! read more

I stopped going to see Jane a while back. Her and her bf are just money hungry. At first they're super nice, anything tu get you in the door. After that it's just about money and time. Between the constant rescheduling and price changes I had enough. They say they have their prices posted when you first come in. But when you're done and it's time to ring up, they charge whatever they want. But the real reason I stopped going there is because of how unsanitary and disgusting that place is. Glitter all over the place and there's never any other choice of pink/nude for the pink & white ombre. Just this unrealistic Barbie bubble gum pink that doesn't suit POC. Don't even get me started on the bathroom... I wouldn't even know where to begin. Absolute filth everywhere. read more

This is a small, low key salon with very friendly staff. I learned so much from Janet about the hazards of always getting no-chip manicures. My nails are slightly curving in and she advised me what to do. Even though I came in near closing , she took her time and did a great job. I wasn't sure about the color and she brought several for me to compare. Even though this place isn't close to me, I will definitely go back. And it's in a strip mall with plenty of parking read more

Was in the area with my sister so we called and asked for an appointment late notice. They were nice enough to squeeze us in. The setting was so tranquil I almost fell asleep on the pedicure chair! Then the acrylics specialist Jane did such a beautiful job on my nails. She suggested colors and designs and painstakingly made them perfectly sexy even though they were closed. Jane and Jorge are delightful owners and this was such a quality experience. read more

Super friendly staff but I got the gel-x apres nails that were pretty expensive and 5 fell off within 3 days of having them on. I really wanted to like them they looked beautiful for a day. read more

Very poor experience. I asked questions and she yelled at me. Left in tears. Would give zero stars if I could.

I went in for a manicure. The owner, Jane was rude and arrogant and possibly racist against south asians. She wouldn't answer my questions or wasn't helpful. I left in tears due to the lack of professionalism. The actual girl who did my nails was nice but didn't know how to do a manicure. It looked like my 5 year old niece did my nails. The nail tech did ask Jane if there was something wrong with nailpolish but Jane said no its fine when obviously it wasn't. Jane proved she is a racist because she was chatting and laughing with all her caucasian customers but was beyond rude to me and not even caring about the fact that her rudeness made me cry for a service i paid for. If you are South Asian - DO NOT GO HERE. I paid $27 to be belittled and nothing else. I didn't even get a real manicure and on top of it was basically made uncomfortable in the space. read more

First the guy wrote my appointment down wrong. I said at 4:30 because they close at 6pm but I come in and it's 5pm So I had to wait 30 minutes.. This is bad. I just moved to the area and trying this place out. First impression is everything so far this was not...The truth hurts. I guess she didn't like what I said. She only did my nails not my feet and told me with a attitude that she wasn't doing my feet .that's the truth somebody wrote my time down wrong and I have to sit there and wait. Why get mad. read more

They are very careful and sanitize everything in light of COVID. They are open until 10 p.m. now and did a very nice job with our nails. Paying attention to great detail. Under new ownership. Both ladies did a wonderful job on our nails! Great mani/pedi, wonderful conversation. read more

My sister and I usually come here . The quality of the work have gone down. My nails usually last more than 3 weeks, the acrylic start lifting after a week. My no chip pedicure last a week. On the top of that the nail tech cut me with the scrubing stone, I have to go to urgent care for infections. My sister no chip didn't last either. The color was not clean properly on the fingers. It seems like the nail techs still learning. The lady that was there before. She helped us with color and answer all the question and gave me suggestion on my nails. Unfortuntely, I won't be back. The place is so awry. read more

Went for a pedicure and my cuticle got cut a few times and the owner disregarded my complaint and charged me the same amount. The pedicure was not great, nor did the tech scrub my soles. I was going there often, but there's a high turnover rate for techs, always someone new there working. They can't keep anyone, and no one good. Sad this business is going down. I will not be returning. read more

I was a customer until my last visit and here's why! The so called owner Jorge is a jerk!! He knows nothing about business and is extremely rude. The other owner Jane is a nice person who does great nails but has to learn who to work well with customers!! She booked an appointment for me and when I arrived I was given to a person I had never met before and she was bad!! It took thirty minutes to do a pedicure that usually takes an hour. I was not happy at that point. Jorge was busy ignoring me instead of putting me at ease!! I have owned my own company for almost 40 years and am a customer service guru That is key to running any business What ever you do, avoid this salon!! They over charge and they under deliver!! Go to Hollywood nails they are great! I rate them at a minus 0 read more

Very nice people and place but my no chip on my hands nails didn't last even 5 days. The no chip on my feet didn't last either, never had that happen since I've been getting no chip on my toes. They are on the higher end of pricing but I don't think I'll be back unfortunately. read more

I've had nothing but good experiences here. I don't have a regular nail tech I go to - I use whoever i available at the time of my appointment. And my no-chip manicures have always been spot on. Love this place! Never had an issue going in and today I just had one of the best no chips ever! Highly recommend!

Ok salon but the lady doing the pedicure argued with me about some patches of dry skin. I've had plenty of pedicures where the skin was treated and removed appropriately but this place seemed to only want to do the bare minimum. So disappointing. read more

Shop is clean. The ladies there are nice. My pedicure was mediocre. The nails look good but the bottom of my feet were not properly scrubbed. They were dry and rough. My no-chip sucked. I got the no chip for a special event I am supposed to be attending for the following week. 3 days after I got the no chip, they started chipping! It's only on one hand which makes it worse because I'm stuck with the polish on the other hand unless I pay to soak them off.I've paid less money other places and have gotten better mani pedis. Won't be coming back here again. read more

Charming Nails - 3 days after my no chip and my thumb and Finger have chipped. The other nails on this hand are also starting chip already. - Nail Salons Near Me - Morton Grove, Illinois

I love Janet and the crew at Charming Nails. I came into the place once after a terrible day at work and I had an amazing manicure/pedicure. Now I go their 1-2 times a month for their services. The women are very professional and friendly. I have never heard them saying anything inappropriate about other people's ethnicity. They are great and making room to serve you if you call ahead. The color selection is amazing and everything is very clean and professional. My one gripe is that the no chip manicures only last about a week or 10 days (at the most) and I feel disappointed paying for a no chip and it not ever really lasting a long time, so I'll stick to the standard mani/pedi at Charming nails. Also, I always forget it's cash only. read more

I have been going here for awhile to get mani/pedi done & have always been happy. They are clean, reasonable priced. I find it hard to believe that a negative comment was made about Jewish people as a past review said. Just keep in mind they DO NOT take credit card or debit, but will accept checks or cash. I completely forgot about this one time & had nothing on me, talk about feeling like a jerk. The owner without any hesitation told me just come back & pay. Who does that? Everyone there is always so nice. read more

New ownership. They doubled the price on EVERYTHING. I go to a very high end salon for eyelash tint and eyebrow tint. TOGETHER its 30 bucks. If you go to this NEW OWNERSHIP you'll pay over 70. Only one lady does nails so you can't get in. I went in for hand no chip. Not only was it 40 bucks! My nails were filed so crooked, I had to redo them. The fake eyelashes is the most expensive I have EVER seen. read more

great services, i was very relaxed, and happy for there rebranding. but disappointed that my no chip came off after a week especially when I paid like $80 for this and a regular pedicure. read more
