I'm really bummed. I just left Charming Nails with ridiculously short nails, 7 filed square and 3 rounded, and gel polish all over my cuticles and hands. I'm not sure what this manicurist was thinking, but she tried to give me a shoulder massage with plastic gloves on that had fingernail polish all over them. She told me the polish all over my hands would come off in the shower. Very bad experience. I will not be going back. I can however type really fast with these stubs. read more

I love this place. I go fairly often. It's not a fancy nail salon, pretty typical strip mall decor, etc. The perks are the very nice and friendly staff, the classical music, the big windows that let in a lot of light, and the quality service. If you're looking for a nicer strip mall nail place I highly recommend this one! read more

They do a marvelous pedicure. My feet feel fabulous and my toes look great for a long time. Friendly staff, clean salon, relaxing classical music in the background, no chemical smells from acrylic nails. I recommend them highly. read more

I have been searching for a great nail salon. I was on the north side of boulder and tried a different salon. Waste of time and money!!! Sore from cuts and pedi didn't last more than a few hours. Charming ALWAYS does a great job! Uses better products, does a perfect job, the staff is nice and it is really clean and modern. Would recommend this to anyone. read more

I love this nail salon! It is a great place to go to relax and enjoy a mani/pedi. They have massage chairs for pedicures! The pedicures last a long time and are perfectly done. The manicures are great, for both the manicures and pedicures they give your legs/arms a great massage. The salon is spacious and well aired, no stinky nail product smell. When the manicure/pedicure ends and you are drying your nails, the nail tech gives you a shoulder and upper back/arm massage. What a perfect way to treat yourself! read more

This is a great salon. It was clean, well lit, and the staff was really nice and professional. I came in for a fill and Mira helped me. She was great and my nails looks awesome. they were playing classical music and it was a very relaxing environment. I will definitely be back for a pedi and a full set soon. I was really pleased with my shellac manicure that I got here. I went during the day so it wasn't too busy. I was in and out in under an hour, which I really appreciated. The lady that did my manicure was friendly and efficient. She didn't seem to resent my existence like so many of the nail techs that I've come across do. It was a pretty no-frills manicure--there was some kind of weird massage with lotion at the end, but that was about it. The prices seemed pretty standard- $30 for shellac, $17 for a regular manicure. My nails look great--hopefully the shellac lasts for two weeks as advertised. read more

My friend and I stopped in here for some quick pampering. I thoroughly enjoyed my pedicure! The salon was clean and organized. The staff were sweet and friendly; and did not try to make you have a conversation. She made sure I had magazines to read. Their polishes included OPI and Essie. I had an all around, very nice pedicure (soaking, cuticle work, cut, buff, etc). They use a REAL pumice stone (a first for me) on my feet and the massage felt fantastic. Great quality & affordability. I plan on going back to Charming Nails and would recommend it!! read more

I was SO disappointed! The first time I went to Charming Nails, there were two women working. I got a nice pedi & the aforementioned shoulder massage. Last week, neither was there and one young lady was doing my pedi while another did my mani. I felt wonderfully spoiled, relaxing, reading & not micro-managing. My lovely nails were filed so short I don't know how she managed a decent French mani. I 've read that there's a significant difference between OPI gel and CND lacquer, but they don't seem to have knowledge of that. Regardless... More than $80 later, in less than a week, two nails chipped. So much for lacquer lasting two weeks as it has when I've had it done elsewhere. read more

This was the worse gel manicure I have ever received. Granted, I may have been spoiled by nail salons in Honolulu and Tokyo, but I should have known the manicure would not last very long considering the service I received. While the woman who did my nails seemed sweet, she also rushed it and did not put as much care and attention to my nails. They started chipping in LESS than a week after I got them done (in previous experience, I can usually make it last 2-3 weeks without any issues!) For the price I paid, I am very disappointed. read more

I'm visiting from New York City and my friend recommended Charming Nails. She said that it took her a while to find a place where she could get a really solid manicure, NYC style. The ladies could not have been nicer. I felt like I was hanging out with some girlfriends and catching up. Super sweet, Super charming. Funny enough, sitting next to me was a transplant from Connecticut who said it took her three places/tries in Boulder to find a great manicure and this is now her go to spot. Went here last week, with my daughters. We had just moved to Boulder and with them starting new schools, I thought that a girls treat day was in order. I was looking for a mani for the youngest and tips and gel for the oldest and myself. I found this place on my phone and it was close. I checked the online menu and sure enough, they did all of those services, so we made an appointment and away we went. We get there, walk in, there are only two ladies working, which means they can't handle 3 of us together, fine. we wait. I tell them we want a mani for the youngest, and 2 sets of tips with gel to make it last, for me and the older girl. We get told 'pick your color and have a seat' Youngest gets taken first and mani starts, 20 minutes later, as youngest is finishing, oldest gets put in the chair. After a perfunctory clean, cuticle clean up, and buff, the tech begins reaching for the polish. I tell her she wants tips, and the rude tech tells us they don't do that there. What? Your website AND the signs on the wall say you do. We get told the lady who does that isn't there anymore. I was pretty angry. They knew they weren't going to be able to give us what we wanted and had us waste our time so they could try to get money out of us for the mani. I think that's why they took the youngest first. I paid them for the mani, didn't tip, and I will never go back. Save your money and patience and go somewhere else. read more

Love this place! Mira, the owner, is so nice. Let her know if you aren't getting the quality you expect. First, clean. I want to know that the nail salon has impeccable cleaning standards for their mani/pedi tools and Charming Nails lives up to it. Second, high quality. The pedi includes hot rock massage and salt scrub with my pedi and my pedi lasts so long. They have a large selection of Opi products. Third, great atmosphere. It is not over crowded or loud. I can really relax. Chairs are spacious with massage options. This is not a hole-in-the-wall but a great space. I appreciate the ability to walk in for a nail service. I have NEVER had an experience here that comes close to those described in some of the other reviews. I have been coming here for over ten years and have tried other places in Boulder when Charming Nails was too busy. I always regret the times I have not had my wax or pedi here. read more

I have been to many nail salons and the pedicure i had today was the WORST ever. The woman rushed, put on one coat of polish, barely massaged my feet and then charged me for a spa pedicure. It has not even been 12 hours and the polish is already chipped. I feel completely ripped off. I normally go to Angel Nails and maybe they have spoiled me but the service here was terrible. I could overlook that if they did a good job but they didn't. I will never go back. read more

Nice ladies, clean shop....HOWEVER, they used the greasiest lotion ever. The kind that will prob never soak in it felt so disgusting especially on a 95 degree day where everything is sticky and sweaty! YUCK! THEN.....my she filed my nail unevenly for my manicure and didnt really understand me when I asked her to even them up. I finally gave up and got up and washed the greasy lotion off of my hands and arms and told her to put a clear coat on my nails (I am going to get the shellac elsewhere) and she put a drying top coat on a a clear polish!!! what the heck?!?!?! It doesnt dry clear or shiny it pretty much soaks in. I again tried to tell her that she was putting nail dryer on my nails NOT polish and she didnt listen. This is my regular place for a manicure or pedicure. Their work is high quality and they are high class and very kind. I have had gels put on my fingers that lasted for weeks. The classical music is a wonderful peaceful contrast to nail places that have a loud TV show such as Judge Judy playing. Plus they always massage my shoulders and neck when my nails are drying. That is a very welcome bonus. read more

This little nail place is my favorite for walk-in mani/pedi's. I went for the first time a few years ago after receiving a coupon from the one of the little books distributed on/around campus and The Hill at the beginning of the school year and really appreciated the ease/convenience--it's on 30th & Arapahoe so avoids the traffic of Pearl Street or 29th Street Mall and there is always parking in the lot. I have had to wait on only a few occasions; typically, they can get you in right away, but when they can't the estimated wait times are accurate. I have been to lots of nail salons that quote you 5-10 minutes for what ends up being a much longer wait, in reality. It's super clean with no strong, toxic smells you encounter in salons that do acrylics, they have an extensive selection of Esse & OPI colors and the women that work there are sweet and professional. I do not recommend getting waxed there (they use soft wax that isn't great quality so it can irritate your skin), but for nails they are wonderful. read more

I love this place! It is near my house and I ran in for a quick manicure one day on the spur of the moment, they got me in immediately, it's very clean with a good selection of polish. My technician didn't talk much but she did an immaculate job on my nails and without pinching/poking at my cuticles, which I hate. My hands looked so great when I walked out, and they were very nice about fixing a (self-inflicted) smudge just before I left. My manicure easily lasted a week, no chips or missed spots. The price was reasonable. Not a fancy spa-type place but comfortable, clean, great quality of service. I was very impressed, especially for a smaller, reasonably-priced nail shop. read more

Got a gel manicure, wasn't pleased from the beginning, they did not do a clean job around the sides of my nails and missed some of the sides completely. About 2 hours after I got them finished one of my nails already started chipping. Not pleased and would not recommend. read more

I called to ask about a walk-in pedicure and they were able to get me in on 5 minutes notice, the shop was clean, staff courteous and efficient, and I loved the pedicure! My nails looked great afterwards and the foot massage was wonderful, the owner even gave me a nice shoulder massage while my nails were drying. The price was a very good value and even with a generous tip I paid less than I would have at other salons in Boulder. I will definitely be a return customer! read more

This used to be one of my favorites, so I was excited to come here. However, I didn't have a great experience this time. In the past, I was lucky to get the owner who is great and a few others who were great. This time I didn't get very good results. My nails were cut an odd shape and eyebrows are noticeably uneven. The biggest issue is that after giving this lady literally all the cash I had, she was rude and gave me attitude as if it wasn't enough. I hadn't realized they significantly raised the prices since I had last been here and thought I would have a little left so was surprised that it's about $13 more for mani/pedi compared to the previous rate (also compared to other salons). I tipped her almost 20%, which I believe is good especially considering she did a poor job, but I was left feeling like she was ungrateful that she didn't get more. She gave me a dirty look after taking my cash and walked away no thank you no nothing. Sadly I will not be coming back here and tossed my discount card in the trash. read more
