My nails themselves turned out nice however... my fingers hurt so bad! The gal that did them used the cuticle cutter to hard cutting too far down into my skin. Then when she used the drill tool she hit my cuticles again with it. The dip powder got in my finger tips and she used the cuticle cutter to take of the access. Cutting into my fingers and pulling the skin and cutting it. Not only did they still charge me with my fingers bleeding still but she took $10 as a tip when I told her to give me $15 back from my $20. read more

I love coming to this local family-owned nail salon. The owners are very friendly and sweet -- the entire salon is spotless and they are very serious about CLEAN. Their brand new massaging chairs are absolutely heaven. My stylish daughter and her friends go here for mani/pedi's and so do I. I went in to get my acrylics taken off and a new set put on, as my current set were just coming apart. The nail tech had a hard time getting them off. Some popped right off, and others she continued to clip my nail shorter and shorter. One nail removal tore my natural nail way down past the quick. Another started bleeding as she pulled it off the side. After she couldn't get the acrylic off she started the drill...but drilling on and next to my natural nail. They are already thin and sensitive...this HURT! I have never had issues with nail removals in 15 years. One she got them off and a new set on. She did a great job getting them really short. The pros are that its quiet, has reasonable prices and they do a nice job. The chairs are fairly comfortable. However I would have preferred if the massage was a bit more sturdy & deep. The con was the atmosphere. It's really quiet and while not dirty just rather unpolished... Which is funny since we come here for a polish in the first place! I walked in at 3pm without and appointment on a Tuesday (I think I should have called) and didn't get out until 4:50 and they only had one customer. It was almost 2 hours. I waited 20 minutes after a lady put a full set on and then waited a guy to do my coloring. My nails look like purple squares and it's wasn't even harden so there is all these dents on them by the end of the shift. The lady dont know how to put the fake nails on, she glued it too high up that there is a gap on my actual and the glued on nail. She also got some of my nails too big. In the end I have nails that looks like boxes. There is no round part to it. And now every time I either cook I have a feeling something is going to be stuck under my nail and I need a wait for maybe a week to get it out when the top layer falls off. There were nice to give me 10% off. And then joked to there other customer that was with me I looked mad that's why they gave me a 10% off. I thought to try them out since they are close to work. Amazing! Definitely my new go to spot! Staff are friendly and amazing at what they do. Just remodeled with new pedicure chairs. Very clean, with a huge selection of colors in shellac and regular polish. I'd really love to recommend the pedicure with lavender products. If you want to treat yourself, the deluxe pedicure package is also fully worth it. My last manicure lasted a full two weeks! Can't wait to go back! read more

Great place to get your nails done. I went in for a shellac nail appt with some friends and was impressed with the quality and price. $28 for shellac nails! Most places charge $35-$40 and then you add on tip, you're paying almost $50 for nails. I'll definitely be coming back for future nail appts. read more

This used to be a great salon when lyn owned it! She sold it and the new guy has messed it up. First there is too much religous stuff painted on the walls. It's a little intimidating. Second he remodeled and has so much "stuff" everywhere it made me clostophobic (furniture, lights, 2drying stations etc). I appreciate what he tried to do but he over did it - would help to have only 5 spa chairs and 5 or 6 nail stations 1 drying station and get rid of all the storage bins and boxes. He also lost some of the best nail technicians and the one he hired is not very good..she only knows how to do square not tapered/rounded tips. I'm reluctant to go back. read more

Arrived at 9:30 this morning and finally someone showed up around 9:37 (they open at 9:30). I proceeded in the shop and they did not even say good morning or anything. Went to look at a color and several minutes later the gentleman asked if I wanted a pedicure. Still no hello and nothing the entire time I was having my pedicure. You could tell he didn't want to be there. When I got home, I looked at my feet and it was the worst pedicure I have ever had. My feet and heels looked worse than before he started.I should have inspected the bottom of my feet before I left but have never had to before. There was noone in the shop the entire time I was up there so it wasn't like he was in a hurry. I called up there and I talked to the Manager. He suggested I come back up but I could not make it out today since I live quite a ways from the shop. This shouldn't have happened in the first place. They have lost a regular customer. read more

This was my first and last last visit to Elite Nails in Lafayette. The young lady who did my shellac manicure is the only reason for the 2 star review (otherwise it would be a 1 star review) - she was friendly and did a decent job - the massage could have been a lot better though. The woman who did my pedicure was rude and unprofessional. I made the mistake of wearing skinny pants to get a pedicure - she was able to roll them up enough- more than mid way up my calf & I asked that she be careful and concentrate on my feet. I looked down and noticed there was OIL, Sea Salt & Lotion all over my rolled up pants legs!!! I said "oh no - that's not going to come out - these are expensive pants!" She simply stared at me - the woman doing the pedicure next to me said "It will wash out." No apology & little to no acknowledgement by the staff whatsoever. I soaked the pants overnight in shout and washed them twice - they are ruined. Expensive lesson for me - I never wear skinny pants to get a pedicure & this one time I do this happens! I went back to speak with the manager & was told she had gone home and that I should call tomorrow to speak with her. I called the next day & asked to please speak with the manager - the staff member said "why?" I repeatedly asked for the manager & was eventually told "she is not here." read more
