For a newer salon, their nail polish is old thick and clumpy. Our pedicures were poorly executed. Bubbling on the nail polish, polish all over toes and cuticles, and polish was just blopped on- never covered the entire nail. One doesn't have to have perfect feet to at least get a good pedicure. Staff is nice but the nail ls are rushed and careless. 67 dollars later we won't be back. read more

This salon is beautiful and I have had 2 good pedicures, but the last two have not been good. They didn't provide the services listed and the nail painting didn't look professional- not smooth and not fully covering the nail. It's hard to speak up and not feel rude, but I don't want to go back due to these experiences. read more

I have been going to this nail salon since it opened here in Erie. The past few times I have gone it has been a very bad experience. It always take a really long time- the attention to detail is just not there. I come home and feel like my feet and nails look worse. This time I came home and changed the nail polish. I have visited this nail salon 7 or 8 times since their opening. They've had to overcome some challenges like any new business would. This winter they added hot water from a kettle, as the water from the tap was not hot enough. While not ideal, it did not negatively impact my pedicure. And it allowed me to have even hotter water than other salons. I believe that has been fixed now. I usually make an appointment, but even without one, I've never waited more than 5 minutes. There is not much massage with the basic pedi, but I almost always purchase an upgraded pedicure, and am quite happy with my experience. Some polish colors are older, so I recommend bringing your own, or just check the consistency beforehand. They follow good sterile procedures. While my experience has not been perfect, I keep coming back because it's easy to get in, they have quality massage chairs, great leg massage with upgraded pedis, it's bright, cheerful, and clean, and the staff are nice and not too pushy. read more

I went here for the first time on Saturday and I liked the look of it but am not impressed with the fact that they have to heat up hot water before a pedicure and pedicure and when I got my manicure, they put one on crooked and the next day I had to go back because another one had broken off and all I was doing was putting on my shoe for work. I don't know if I will continue to go to this place or to my regular place that's on highway 7 called "First nail bar". Will never go back. Walk in and asked for regular mani pedi. I'm not someone who knows anything about nails. Was sat down pretty quickly, but kept being asked what I wanted, "regular mani pedi". I got the most basic pedicure I think I've ever had, bare minimum. The tech also brought over several bottles of color and asked which one I wanted, since they all had the same number she couldn't remember. The polish was streaky and chipped by the time I got home. I have nothing to say about the manicure because I never got one. I sat in the pedicure chair for a while, before I noticed my nail tech was eating lunch in the middle of the salon. Luckily they didn't charge me for anything but the pedicure and 30% off, but it was little more than a foot bath with colorful lights in the end. read more

We had the opportunity to experience this salon. There were 5 of us and the services ranges from manicure, mani/pedi with gel, gel nails and polish pedicure and eyebrows. All the services were exceptional. The salon opened a week ago and is new and beautifully decorated. Kelly one of the owners did my pedi and it's great. I would highly recommend trying this! STEVEN is the absolute best nail guy I have ever had! He is a perfectionist and so creative with designs! I get so many compliments every time I get my nails done! I really wanted to like this place because it's close to home and a beautiful looking atmosphere. But this has got to be one of the worst salons I've been to. We had an apt and they still didn't see us for 25 min, but they were working hard with other people so can't fault them too hard for that. But the quality of service was unfortunately lacking. I asked for a French pedicure and they didn't put any neutral nail polish down, just did a thick white out tip and clear coat so my toes look even worse than they did without polish LOL. Looked like I tried to do it myself. The colors of the nail polish unfortunately don't represent/match the real color at all so I wanted a neutral pink on my fingers and it turned out completely weird. I've also never been charged for a dip polish removal IF you're getting a full new set. My mani pedi with dip (mani only) cost $120 with tip. My mom's nails were completely unfiled and jagged, plus they didn't massage her for her mani or pedi. Just all around bad and not even worth a second chance to us :/ read more

BEWARE!!! I went to see Hannah for a re-base approximately one week after the salon opened. I went here because my normal nail tech could not get me in and I figured that with the 30% off they were offering I would go ahead and give it a shot. I noticed that she was reusing drill bits without disinfecting. Three weeks later I went back and saw Steven. Steven removed the shellac coat and I could see that the nail on my middle finger of the right hand was green and there was hardly any nail left. I had gotten a fungus when Hannah did my nails there! I am now going to lose my entire nail, and it may never grow back! I would highly recommend that you stay away from this salon because they obviously don't have adequate disinfectant practices. Really wanted to like this place, really pretty inside however nothing but attitude. If you have ingrown toenails don't think you'll get them removed here. They won't touch you. The gal first said she would remove them if I signed a waiver but then another lady came over and said no! As if I was not welcome here. As if I asked a horrible question. The basic pedicure doesn't even remove your dead skin at the bottom of your feet. I sat waiting for 20 minutes before anyone would help me. Worst pedicure I've ever had. basically I soaked my feet forever, she removed my toe paint and repainted my toes, I did you not oh and she put a small hot towel on my legs and a oil. Ladies save your time. Learn from my experience. Sorry I will not be coming back here nor recommending anyone here nor promoting this new salon. Extremely disappointing. I had to leave and go to another nail salon and get a real pedicure. read more

Service was the same as other local nail shops, but magic nails was much more expensive. Not only that, while I was sitting in the pedicure chair waiting for my toenails to dry, the person doing my pedicure started filing my finger nails and putting lotion on my arm. I did not request a manicure and when asked if I wanted the same color on my finger nails I said I was not getting my nails done... I never get a manicure and I had just cut and filed my fingernails the night before. When I wen to pay they added another $25 for a manicure. I did say i hadnt requested a manicure but got no proper response and i didn't want to start a fight... but I will never be back. read more

I had been here for the second time thinking I'd give them another chance. the first time I came the girl kept cutting my fingers. this time I had a different guy. he took the polish off two nails and on the third time nicked my finger good. Walking in the vibe is beautiful and elegant. Everyone seems very friendly. Unfortunately, I got Jenny as my nail tech for my pedi and dip manicure. And the vibe changed dramatically. It was like she didn't want to be at work. She was sloppy, and rude. There was no place to set my purse except for on the floor in water. When my pedicure was over I still had scrub, parafin and too much oil left on my legs. I paid for the more expensive pedicure, but got c quality for sure. She left my heals with dead skin and not smooth. I was hoping someone else was going to do my nails, but no...it was still her. She barely spoke to me and acted put out at every turn. I had to ask her to stop filing my nails down, as I had already told her I wanted to keep my length. I could keep going...but I will leave it at...Not a good experience at all! read more

My sister and a friend were visiting for a wedding and went to Magic Nails for a manicure and pedicure. Marble and chandeliers make for an elegant first impression, but the service was sub-par. My sister received a pedicure from Kimmy, who seemed disinterested -- she did not introduce herself or ask if she wanted water (my sister's friend's received both). She didn't talk to my sister, which is ok, but chattered to another tech. Kimmy was rubbing lotion on the front of my sister's leg and foot, so my sister asked that she massage her calf and sole. Kimmy compiled, for about 5 seconds. My sister did not want polish (had a bad reaction to it a few years ago), but Magic Nails doesn't have a package for that. My sister said it's called a "natural" or "athletes" treatment in most salons. My sister's friend received better service but said it certainly wasn't as good as her salon in Virginia. Kimmy left and didn't come back so my sister didn't get a manicure. At the wedding, my sister mentioned her bad experience to two ladies who said they stopped going there because of the abysmal service. One said her manicure started before her pedicure was finished so she had to cross her arm across her body for the manicurist to reach. Very uncomfortable and she couldn't use the massage chair. I took my sister to Gundruk Nepalese restaurant to make up for the bad experience at Magic Nails -- great service, wonderful food, excellent selection (my sister is vegan) so I'm back in her good graces. read more

magic? today is as anything less then magic. my friend and i went to get a full set. i arrived right on time had to wait about 15 minutes before anyone could even think about taking me back. my nail tech made out of pocket comments which were rude and disgusting. her communication sucked..told me one price then went to check out and she changed it to something even more..she rushed my set so it looks crappy and all uneven. my friends nails are terrible. the color is streaky and way over priced. they left dust and pieces from filing in her nails. when this brought up to the manager, she was quite rude. there are plenty of other nail salons, i suggest going else where and not wasting your time. definitely not worth the money or time. read more
