I don't know where to begin with this fantastic company. From the initial call with Tammy, I instantly knew that I would book my move with charm city movers but I still priced other options and that was a total waste of my time. Tammy remembered me and gave me a very affordable quote and helped me organize the perfect move. I believe I spoke with Chris to confirm my move and he was also very professional and polite. Based off the initial interaction I didn't think that my experience would get any better but Quinton, Travon, Delvin, and Danny exceeded my expectations and then some. They were early and called prior to arrival with an ETA . The entire move went seamlessly and I would 10/10 recommend. They live up to the name of charm city movers ! read more

Charm City Movers made it so the actual physical moving of boxes and furniture was the least stressful part of my move. They were great. The people I talked to on the phone, Felix and two others whose names I forgot, were knowledgable and straightforward, and made booking the move painless. They also didn't require a deposit, which was nice. FYI: they itemize everything you are moving ahead of time, including number of boxes, and base the quote on that. Quote stood firm at the end of the day. There is also a yelp discount. The actual day of the move, the 4 guys were scheduled to show up between 8 and 9 am. They showed up around 8:00 and proceeded to load, move, and unload my 1-bedroom apartments worth of stuff to the new apartment 8.5 miles away, in about 1.5 hours total. They were extremely efficient. They didn't bat an eye at the heat, or having to move things to a 3rd floor walk up. I certainly would have been complaining! In fact, I was complaining, and I didn't even have to lift furniture! These guys were really professional about the conditions. Great, fast move! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I think they could have probably been a bit more careful with the furniture. Nothing broke, but there were a few small dents here and there, and on the walls, and they did put my wood furniture in the wet grass before loading. Luckily I don't care too much about stuff like that, but I know some people do, so I would be vigilant if you have fancy furniture. Also, the price was a bit on the high end for the amount of stuff I had, but I was willing to pay it for the lack of hassle and good service. I would definitely use them again! read more

Charm City Movers - Waiting to be loaded into the truck - Movers Near Me - Windsor Mill, Maryland

Charm City Movers was able to fit us in for a three-stop move (furniture from two apartments into a rowhome) on a relatively quick timeline and gave us a quote based on the number of items we planned to move. They provided detailed information on what to expect for the move, and were easy to work with when we sent an updated list of items for an updated quote the day before the move. On moving day, three movers (Chris, Donte, and Tyler) showed up right on time and went straight to work. Chris checked with us to go over our moving list and make sure everything was accurate. The truck was waaay bigger than we thought it would be and was bigger than we needed, but they said they trucks were pretty much all that size in case they had a large move. The guys were definitely there to get things done quickly, but were communicative and pleasant to work with. They drove across town with us twice (Mt. Vernon to Fells Point to South Baltimore), navigated some tricky parking situations, and picked up all of the furniture and unloaded into the house and were done in three hours! They guys very careful with everything and things went off without a hitch. We gave them cold drinks and tipped them for their help and hard work. We paid exactly what we were quoted and are excited to start settling in to our new home. Thanks, guys! read more

This company did a quote but the charge was x2 the amount quoted. Will not use again. They were on time with 3 men.

Every time we move, my husband and I look at each other and say, "that's it" and promise each other we will stay put... so here it is, September 2013 and we are moving... again! This time the move is from a storage unit to a new house and we are not sure what to expect. I am a bit nervous because my husband has told me the storage units are packed. I picture a Jenga game and really hope the movers understand how to unload! That was almost more important to me than the shifting of 'stuff' from the truck to the house. Anyway, I had no reason to worry. Cooley, Delvin, Quentin, and Jermaine showed up with the truck and proceeded to manage the process beautifully. I truly have no complaints. And my husband let the guys know too. In his eyes, this was the best move ever. So thanks Charm City. Thanks Felix. Keep up the fabulous work. read more

Great customer service! Reliable and did a great job packing paying attention to details. Local company that us committed to serving Baltimore. read more

I paid them to help unload a moving truck and move some things around the house. I had an armoire that needed to go up a flight of stairs. They tried ONCE to get it up, damaged it in the process, and said it couldn't be done. I called and spoke to the office about my concerns that they hadn't tried very hard, and hadn't even bothered to remove the chest of drawers inside. They refused my request for a second opinion. My husband and I ended up doing it ourselves. Needless to say, the piece could fit up the stairs just fine. Totally disgusted by their lack of effort and poor service. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Moved locally within Baltimore this past weekend and these guys were great. I initially scheduled packing services the day before my move but ended up not needing it, and they were completely understanding. They called the day before the move to confirm and then Tank, Moses, and Shon showed up promptly and took care of the whole move SO fast! My couch was too large for the elevator at my new place so the guys ended up carrying it up the stairs! They went the extra mile and were efficient and communicative. I'd definitely use them again! read more

This is our third local move with Charm City movers, and we couldn't have been more pleased. It was very easy to get a quote online and schedule a pick up date. We have been dealing with another long-distance company for another move (which has been horrible), and CCM was able to move our date at only 2 days notice without any extra fees or anger. The day before we got a call to confirm our move, even though it was a holiday. On the day of the move, the movers were early for the pick up, worked fast, and were friendly, even though they were ducking around other items we thought would be out of the way. Can't say enough good things - if you are doing a local move, these are the people for you. read more

They were great movers! And their quote was spot on... They didn't have any hidden charges or take any time! They were the best

I am very thankful for Charm City Movers and Larry, Shemar, Danny, and Brandon's efficient work and help with my move. First, when getting my quote, the woman I spoke to was kind and walked me through the process with care and patience. I ended up moving a lot of boxes on my own, and they easily adjusted my quote the day before which I really appreciated. Then, on the day of the move, Larry, Shemar, Danny, and Brandon were direct, on time, careful with my stuff, kind, and diligent. Moreover, they were quick, even with all of the stairs in the apartment building I was moving into. I will definitely use Charm City Movers for future moves. Thank you for making moving, a very stressful thing, so much less stressful! read more

The staff I communicated with while making our reservation were incredibly helpful, professional, and super quick to respond to my inquiries via email. This was one of two reasons I decided to book with Charm City Movers after getting quotes from other vendors. The other reason is because of the fixed rate, which I loved and appreciated. As for the movers themselves, they were timely and professional. They were also SUPER fast, which was great. That said, we had a few items that ended up getting scratched and bent, which made re-assembly extremely difficult. We didn't even have that many items for them to move from our one bedroom apartment and the whole experience lasted only a couple hours. Though I appreciate the fixed rate, we definitely got the short end of the stick since they were so speedy with our few items - I could have probably gotten the move done cheaper elsewhere. read more

*In full transparency, I should have posted this review three years ago, but forgot. I remembered now because we're looking for movers again and this company showed up. I used this company when I moved from PA to Baltimore three years ago. They met me at my house in PA, which was about three hours from Baltimore, loaded me up and moved me to Baltimore. It was a long day. Pros: They were SUPER friendly and easy to with with. They were fairly quick Cons: They charge by the box, not by the hour, like most other companies. I spoke with the scheduler and told her everything I had in my house and the approximate number of boxes I would have and she gave me a quote. I was all packed and ready to be moved when they arrived. However, when they came to the house to look at my boxes and count them, I had about five extra boxes so I thought it wasn't going to be a big deal. It was a HUGE deal! They then considered my lamps to be individual boxes. They considered all my luggage to be individual boxes. I had a very small miniature bookshelf and they considered that to be additional box. They considered my vacuum cleaner to be an additional box. They considered my grill to be an additional box. Long story short, they charged me almost $1100 more than my quote and they wouldn't move a single item until I agreed to pay that fee. I was extremely disappointed and felt like I had been bamboozled and they took advantage of me. I was not happy about it at all, but there was nothing I could do because I had to move and they knew that. They added so much extra stress to the stress I already had about moving to a brand new city. Additionally, I had just purchased a brand new ceramic barbecue grill (Big Green Egg). They went to pick it up, dropped it, and it cracked into several pieces. Initially I did not get upset because I since they dropped it, they should pay to replace it. They disagreed and said that they would not cover the cost of the grill because I should've told them special instructions on how to move it. By this time, it was one of the last items to go on the truck and we needed to leave, but told them that it was unacceptable. Once I moved to the new place, I called the manager to complain. She was initially resistant to pay for the grill, but I'm happy that she finally agreed to do so. Overall, they weren't bad and as I said above, were quite easy to work with. I just think that they need to be extremely clear and upfront about the pricing structure so that there are zero surprises when they arrive for the move or change their strategy and charge by the hour and not by the box. read more

My move was scheduled for 28 Oct in the morning. While scheduling the move, I made many changes and spoke to different individuals. I must admit to being a bit skeptical, especially as no deposit was required. I received a call the day before as promised and all my changes had been incorporated. On the morning of the move, three gentlemen arrived and each introduced himself to me - very professional and friendly. They were efficient and fast, always checking with me to ensure my wishes were being met. I was very pleased when they left. A little while after that, I had an issue with something I was told that seemed to conflict with what I actually found (a broken leg). I called the office and the gentleman who took my called was determined to get to the bottom of the issue. I am even more pleased to say it was a total misunderstanding. I would most definitely use CCM again. I found them to be honest, accommodating and fair. As a single, older woman, a lot of times we are taken advantage of; this was not one of those times. read more

Charm City Movers really lived up to my expectations. I needed a moving company that was honest and affordable. Charm City Movers proved to have both of these qualities because all of the conditions of the terms and quoted price were honored. There were no surprises. On the day of my move, the moving team arrived on time and finished faster than I could ever have imagined. The moving team was very professional and always respectful. I didn't have time to be stressful because they were so polite and so attentive. This was the best experience in moving that I have ever had. read more

Just had another great experience with Charm City Movers over the weekend. Yet again, the movers were amazing (and FAST!), and we arrived with no broken or otherwise damaged items. Tammy kept in touch the whole time via email, and I'm highly satisfied with the process, from start to finish. I received a quote within a half hour or so of filling out the form, was able to talk to Tammy about changes to the items I was moving, and received an updated quote (I think there were three updates in all) really quickly. There were no nasty surprises, no haggling, no nothing. Just an attitude of "We'll take care of it, don't worry about it." Moving is always stressful and unpleasant, yet on moving day I was able to focus on the positive side. I can't recommend these folks enough, and I'm truly grateful for yet another wonderful experience. read more

I cannot recommend this company more. Our crew, Quentin, Butch, Trayvon, and Delvin, were incredibly careful and respectful of our belongings, and they never once complained about the pain in the ass apartment complex we lived in (it was really inconvenient getting in and out of). They were so friendly and helpful, and they made this move this most painless out of every one we've had to do (and we've moved A LOT). If you need movers, call these guys immediately. read more

My oldest daughter was moving and needed moving help from parents and professionals due to conflicting work schedule. My wife called several moving companies including Charm City Movers which was highly recommended by daughter's coworker. Charm City Movers submitted the lowest bid. Best of all, the company was very responsive to all of our inquiries. Our phone calls were always answered with friendliness and respect. The other companies had much higher bids and not so responsive and friendly. One company even refused to bid because the job was too small for them. Charm City also gave my daughter a $30 discount because of her coworkers referral. On the date of the move, the workers arrived on time. Also, the supervisor was constantly giving us update on arrival time by phone. The movers were very friendly, professional, and quick. Nothing was broken or scratch. All the pieces were placed exactly as requested. We will gladly use Charm City Movers again. read more

Felix was very nice to help arrange the move in, thank you!! Cons: Unfortunately, the lead mover ruined the experience. The lead mover assigned to unload my truck was extremely unprofessional and very rude to me. He was very aggressive with his attitude and made the experience incredibly uncomfortable. He was yelling on the phone about quitting and walking away from the job because there was more stuff than he wanted to unload. The other 3 men on his team were polite and nice, but unfortunately the leader of the team made the move in day extremely uncomfortable, and ruined my review for this moving company. Pros: The items moved from the truck were stacked in appropriate places, which was a positive. The Movers worked quickly to upload the truck. Nothing was broken on their account. I would NOT recommend Charm City Movers!!! read more

I hired these folks to move a couple pieces of furniture and some boxes from my old place to my new one. They were not cheap but I tend to believe you get what you pay for. They arrived on time and loaded my few items very quickly. We arrived at my new place and they placed my items in also very quickly. They set up the futon backwards. I had to ask them to reverse it. The futon cover which started clean was dirty and streaked with dust. It appeared that they'd laid it on the ground or on the floor of their moving van without any blankets. My boxes which were carefully marked were stacked here and there with the fragile items (marked clearly as fragile) stacked in the bottom! I had less boxes and a bookcase than I had asked them to move. The representative told me over the phone that they would adjust the price on site. Yeah right. I received a whole $15 deduction from the price. I think a bookcase and the fewer boxes were more but I was in a hurry and at that point just wanted them gone. I was moving my futon later and discovered they had somehow twisted the metal frame so that part of the one side was outside the metal brackets so that I couldn't change it to the upright position. It took us some struggling and maneuvering it to get it twisted back the right way. I'm not impressed with this company. They weren't the worst but not the best either and for the price...yeah not do great. read more

I've had to move twice within the last year and a half. Charm City Movers was definitely the better of the two local movers I used especially for their reasonable pricing. I appreciated the item pricing versus the hourly pricing. They were really easy to work and flexible in terms of scheduling. The movers were courteous, careful and strong. Some movers aren't strong enough to lift the furniture so the drag it along the carpet. These guys were great! Thanks for the great work and pleasant move. read more

We moved with Charm City Movers in December 2021 and had a great experience. They were responsive, honest, and efficient (plus, no damage to anything). They even accommodated a second pick-up location and graciously moved a few items free of charge that we had called in but the estimate hadn't been updated to reflect. Fixed price agreement based on # and type of items moved. We had A LOT of stuff, and they were great. We would definitely use them again. read more

4.5 stars Danny, Cliff and Moses helped move out of my one bedroom apartment. We couldn't have asked for a better experience with a moving company. Prior to our move, the staff was very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. They answered all of our questions and checked in with us the day before. On moving day, the crew showed up on time. The movers were very friendly and did a great job loading and unloading. I hope we never ever have to move again - because it's a pain - but if we do - we will use this company again. read more

This was probably one of the best decisions I've made with moving. From the beginning, Tammy was warm and friendly, and gave a wonderful (and super reasonable) quote for my move. I had asked for a morning time slot, but they only had the afternoon slot at the time. She made a note on my quote information, and a couple of days before the move I was contacted because an earlier time slot had opened up. Chris called me the day before to confirm my move and the time, and I received a call this morning to let me know that the movers had finished the first job early and could accommodate my move even earlier! Moses, Michael, Tank, and Tyler are as polite as they are efficient. They made sure that I felt comfortable and calm throughout the entire process, which was a feat. They were meticulous about making sure that my furniture wasn't damaged in any way and that none of the walls were touched, including on the stairs. It was amazing. I can not recommend this company enough, will use them again in the future, and will be sure to tell my friends and family about them!! Thank you for an enjoyable moving process! read more

So I'm just going to put it out there that I've moved....a lot. I'm talking 15 moves within the last six years. FIFTEEN MOVES. Whew, I'm tired just thinking about it. But my latest move from Owings Mills into Baltimore came up in February and I knew that I didn't want to move myself. Noooo thank you. So I went onto trusty Craigslist and searched for help. One of the first listings was Charm City Movers. After making a call and NOT being answered by "UHmm, hello?"... I knew I had found my movers. They were cheaper, they seemed to have their act together and they were really flexible in trying to move me during all of the lovely snow storms we were getting. Fast forward to moving day and let me say that it took the four guys that showed up (I was only expecting 2!) twenty minutes to load all of my stuff into their truck. Yeah, seriously. Including the 30 minute travel time, the loading, driving and unloading only took one hour and fifteen minutes. Unbelievable! I was so impressed...I really have never had such a relaxed move. Long story short, I highly recommend them for your moving experiences. Need a further reference? Just message me! read more

This move was on July 31, 2014. The delay in posting was my attempt to cool off from such a horrible experience. Scheduling the move was seamless and without any issues. When the movers arrived, they began counting boxes and said I had too many boxes. They said they could call the office and let them know, and it'd be about $5 per box if they told the office... OR I could just "give them a really good tip". I explained I had a lot of really heavy books and very small boxes that only contained two or three books. I also stated no one had limited me to a certain number of boxes when I scheduled the move. I was warned again about their intention to "call the office." I gave in since time was wasting and they showed up at the very end of their window (4pm) before I lost access to the freight elevator. They were very fast loading the entire apartment--probably because they had formed a line in which they were tossing each other my boxes. Once we arrived to the new apartment they were very fast unloading the truck. It came down to them unloading my couch, which wouldn't fit in the elevator. Despite my requests, they refused to move the couch through the front entrance, stating, "the boss lady said we can't come through the front entrance." After they declared there's nothing they can do about getting my couch in my apartment, they quickly closed the truck up and left. I was not afforded the opportunity to view the back of the truck for rogue boxes (I still have no idea where my towels and glassware are), nor was my move complete. They left my couch and me on the street at 6:30pm. I attempted to call the office, which was closed. I found a nice stranger that helped me move the couch to the bike storage area until the morning. The next morning, I heard from Charm City Movers and explained the situation to them. They said they would look into the incident. They called the apartment manager, who explained to them the "boss lady" couldn't have told them not to come through the front entrance, as it is an all-male staff. The office called me back at the end of the business day and offered me $50, which didn't cover the cost I had to pay a new set of movers to get my couch into my apartment. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I think this is a case where it just really really depends which squad of guys they send your way. After negotiating for some time with different moving companies, we chose Charm City for their good reviews which cite a guy named Felix to move my house worth of 50-70 year old furniture that I collect, as well as a small set of knick knack and book boxes. The guys came into my apartment to pack the furniture into their truck and immediately were complaining that furniture (normal furniture, like drawers) was too heavy, boxes were too heavy, pretty much everything. They asked me if I would help them haul and I said I couldn't and I got a shitty look. I'm a 100 lb girl. Afterward, they left trash in the apartment, lights on in the apartment, and left telling us we better "beat them" to the new house to open it up because this had already taken a really long time and they wanted to be done. We did.. Actually I beat them by long enough that I wondered if they got lost. They arrived and began unloading my furniture onto the sidewalk because the four men in the team couldn't coordinate getting into my door fast enough to get items off the truck fast enough. They clearly just wanted to be done. Every time I asked for a box or piece of furniture to be taken anywhere except the front room of the house, I encountered resistance, either with an exasperated sigh, a roll of the eyes, or a flat out refusal. Early on, the main person said he didn't want to be a mover anymore and he hated his job. He was mad at the crew and very annoyed to be there. He said he just wanted to be done efficiently and get out. Rather than get into the particulars of the event of their unloading itself, I will just leave this with the bottom line: In the end, we were left with a front room and kitchen (all on the first floor) that couldn't be more full to the brim with boxes, no items delivered downstairs (I carried a few myself after it was refused) and very minimal items delivered upstairs, each requiring bargaining on my part. They had knocked a quarter size whole in one wall, knocking an antique off of a table into the wall, and a dime size gouge in another wall. One piece of antique furniture was scratched very considerably on all three sides, including deep gouges in the front and many large scratches on the sides. An antique mirror with a wooden frame was cracked, a desk older than myself was left with a decent gouge in it, and another piece of melamine furniture was scratched deeply. Frankly, that's just what we have discovered thus far. Because so much of what was delivered was piled on top of one another - crushing boxes in the process that thankfully didn't result in any major damage therein because we had moved the super breakable things ourselves - we have taken a few days to even discover the extent of what was damaged. What I will say is that it seems that their central office is at least somewhat interested in working with us to remedy the situation. They have been responsive and we are negotiating how things will be fixed. However, it is hard not to feel violated all the same by the way these guys acted in my home with my stuff and the damage that was caused. Every time I walk past some thrashed piece of midcentury furniture I feel sick and irresponsible myself for having selected this company to move my belongings. UPDATE (9/9/16)- This owner is being reactionary and dishonest. I was given less than 5 minutes to give him my full real name and contact info before he posted on here discrediting my review. Please know that this experience was very real. Not without irony, the business owner has not responded to or returned any calls since this Yelp interaction occurred. UPDATE (9/16/16)- The crappy story of this place continues. We finally did get someone from this business to call us back. She apologized profusely on the phone and said that the completely DISHONEST response on this page would be removed imminently. Clearly that has not happened. They claimed that many "bad" reviews are actually their competitors pretending to be customers on here and discrediting them. When I asked how dedicated a person would have to be to be part of the Yelp community for 136 reviews and counting just to make a fake review on their Yelp page seem credible, they didn't have much of an answer to that either. Bottom line: STAY AWAY from Charm City Movers!! Frankly, the whole discussion with them since this review, the whole bizarre and negative interaction, has made me super suspicious of the way they may be attempting to game the review system on here in the first place. read more

Such a great experience working with Charm City Movers!!! I moved from Northern Baltimore city to AA Co. and had three movers. They were the nicest guys ever. Thanks again to everyone at CCM for taking the stress out of my move!!! read more

It has been a long time since our last move. All in all a very straightforward process. Everything went well but just a couple of things I need to mention. When we got our quote we were asked how many stairs we have at each location and I gave an exact number. When the movers arrived I was told that I had more than on the quote since they go by flights, not actual stairs. I was gently reminded to simply "take care of my guys" with a nice tip. When we got to our new location I was again reminded that there were more flights than on the quote. When shopping for quotes I went with Charm City because of the professionalism that was evident from their office staff handling the quote. Perhaps it's been too long since we moved and I wasn't aware of needing to tip the movers. I did, in the end, give a tip to the person who had asked. He had wanted me to give it to him so that he could distribute it to his men. With the tip it ended up being the same cost as their competition but it wasn't as advertised. In my time in business a quote is a quote and I felt a little at their mercy as they moved our belongings. Extorted? No. But it seemed like standard operating procedure for these guys. read more

My sister and brother-in-law referred Charm City Movers to me and I'm so glad they did! This was my 6th household move in 10 years and was, by far, the easiest and best experience. Every step of the process is easy. I got a call from Felix within two hours of filling out the information online and she was fantastic. After we spoke through my inventory she even made a few suggestions on how I could cut down the bill a bit. I told her how much I appreciated it and was so shocked she was telling me about them. It's that exact kind of thing that makes this company so great. Moving is expensive but they truly care of their customers. Felix also called two days before the move to confirm everything. The day of the move I got a call from the moving team that they would be at my house in 25 minutes - and they were! They were actually 10 minutes ahead of the start time I was given! The guys were super friendly and FAST! Don't get speed confused with carelessness. They were quick and cautious. Nothing was broken or even looked like it was being handled in a rough matter. Hopefully I don't move again for awhile but when I do I'll use Charm City Movers again! read more

If you want a stress free move, call Charm City Movers! I've had some extremely poor experiences with moving companies and this was anything but poor! From the get go, Felix provided fantastic customer service, and answered all of my questions. Every move is a learning experience, and if i had known better, i would have packed larger items in boxes because each individual piece carried counts as a 'box.' The moving team was fabulous! All were courteous, friendly, extremely efficient, and worked well together. The whole move from packing to unpacking was completed in about 3.5 hours and everything arrived in tact! Give them a call and provide an accurate inventory and you'll be more than satisfied with this great company! Thanks Charm City Movers! read more

We used Charm City Movers to move from Baltimore City to Columbia, Maryland on January 18, 2016. To start, I am a reputable medical professional. I usually don't have time to write reviews but my experience with this company has been less than mediocre and I would like to share my experience with the yelp community. Pros: We had a moving crew of 3 guys. The did arrive on time, were friendly and we moved into our new home. They stood by their quote and worked with me if I had miscalculated anything (e.g., I said there would be a wicker chair, but I ended up donating it so it allowed me have a couple more boxes at my current quote). Cons: I was told by Chris that every piece of furniture was going to be wrapped and placed in the truck, which did not happen. The guys did not wrap each furniture item and instead draped padded covers over each piece. The crew didn't even bring their own dolly. Luckily my husband had one from one of his previous moves for them to use. What moving company does not bring their own standard moving equipment????? After the move, we noticed that a huge chunk out of the corner of my new pottery barn coffee table was missing. We contacted Felix (the other owner) and reported it. He talked with his guys and they said they knew nothing about it. Felix said he would have to check the truck for the broken off piece. About 2 weeks later, he said that he could not find the piece in his truck and to look in the drawer of the coffee table. Low and behold, the broken piece was in the drawer. This really pissed me off because if the piece was in the coffee table then the moving crew absolutely knew it was damaged and failed to report upon on completion of the move and then lied about it when asked by Felix. Update: We have a furniture repair person currently in our home right now fixing our table provided by Charm City Movers. The table turned out beautifully. Thank you for some piece of mind. We also had our bedroom flat-screen TV scratched during this move (about a 1/2 inch white line on the flat screen visible when the TV is off and on). Felix tried to make an excuse saying that it was probably scratched before the move and that Charm City Movers has never scratched a TV in its history. Um, I think not. The move foreman did not mention any scratch before the move as he did so meticulously with other scratches on other pieces of furniture. Now we have to watch TV with a huge white light scratch staring at us in the face. Overall, I think we got a really bad crew on this move given that everyone rates this moving company 5 stars, which why I chose them in the first place. Yelpers be aware of using this company if you have nice things that you don't want to have ruined. I will not be using this moving company again. Just to note, my husband never asked for the tip money back as mentioned in Felix's reply comment. Felix offered it to us because we were unhappy but we have yet to see it. read more

Great experience! Moving stinks, but finding reputable movers is even worse. Luckily, I found Charm City on Yelp, and after a couple phone calls and email exchanges, I knew they would do the best job. What I appreciated most was their flat-rate fee (not hourly) and willingness to adjust the quote as we found more items we needed to move or dropped items off our list. The crew moved fast, communicated well, and even had us laughing several times. They had us moved out and in (townhouse to three-bedroom single family) in 4.5 hours. We didn't find any damage to our items or the houses--not one scuff! read more

Charm City Movers saved my life on moving day! Moses and his team arrived at 8:15 and they were done by 10 am. It was unbelievable! They got everything out of my terribly, narrow, steep, third-floor walk-up with speed and care. A road was blocked off to get to my new place, and Moses backed the truck down 3 full city blocks to get to the apartment. They were very friendly, careful, and FAST! It was awesome. I have kept saying this since I moved - the $ I spent hiring them was the best money I have ever spent. read more

I can't say enough good things about Charm city movers! They provided exceptional service and went above and beyond. I moved into a newly (white) painted SIX story townhouse and they moved the furniture with ease and did not leave any scuffs on the walls!! They were extra careful navigating stairs and tight corners. And they did it all with a smile on their faces. Moses and his entire team were professional, extremely friendly and talented. I highly recommend this company and crew. read more
