They said they service our brand/model and said the visit would cost $149, to be applied to any repair. When the technician diagnosed the unit, he agreed it was the compressor. He gave us an estimate and collected his $149. We thought Appliance King was going to do the repair. But less than 5 minutes after they left, they called and said they do not service our brand/model. So, basically, they stole $149 and our time in bad faith.

We then replaced the dryer with Speed Queen when it went. More than happy. Although some reviewers have complained about prices I feel that they are more than fair. It seems to me that one of the employees should assist with that. I complained to the manager and she 100% agreed with me. Update: I visited this HD location last week and it was greatly improved. One employee was very helpful and got a larger dolly cart for me to carry bags of heavy garden soil. Also, the cashier was a bit more engaged than I've experienced in the past. Prices have increased as of late March 2026 but I don't suppose that HD's fault.
