I did everything possible to avoid issues -- I confirmed timelines with my salesperson, Drew, to avoid a price increase and followed up with a call. Despite that, my quote increased. After some back and forth, they did honor the original price -- but the problems didn't stop there. Drew failed to place the order, even though I had submitted it and paid in full. That delay caused major availability issues, forcing me to purchase a more expensive microwave just to stay on schedule. When I needed to change one appliance, it took weeks just to get an updated proposal. I shared my install deadline well in advance, because I had out-of-town carpenters coming specifically to install the appliance panels. House of Appliances never got back to me in time, and I missed the window. Now I have to pay extra to get the panels installed later. To make matters worse, the refrigerator drawers and wine refrigerator arrived damaged. I was told they could be repaired -- but I paid full price, and I will not accept repaired appliances. These units are required for my Certificate of Occupancy and panel installation, and I still have no resolution. I even contacted a manager and have yet to receive any help. This kind of service is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, when we explained the purpose of our visit, the salesperson, Drew Meltz, informed us that we could not purchase appliances in Florida and have them shipped to Vermont. Right. We asked if we could still browse their showroom. Drew immediately welcomed us and then proceeded to spend nearly an hour going over all the appliances we were looking for: ovens, dishwasher, refrigerator, etc. All the while knowing there would be no eventual sale. Drew Meltz is the best appliance salesperson we have ever met, hands down. He is supremely knowledgeable about his products, patient, cordial and a real pleasure to work with. In August my frig died, lost alot of food while trying to shop/buy with telephone calls and reading their web site. Of course many promises were made by these people but turned out to be BS. I paid full boat because I was in no position to deal and I didn't mind too much. $1500 bucks which was to include delivery, set-up (water&ice, leveling, removal of old frig) After they got my $$$$ (chg card) had to wait 3 days for delivery (not so quick). The crew came out and decided that they could not get the refrigerator in & thru to kitchen!! But I had brought in a larger frig a few years before. All they had to do was take the doors off .. and child can do in 10 mins max. They left, with my gate wide open...just drove off! I had to reschedule (more days w/o frig - more food wasted/lost). When 2nd delivery crew arrived, still had to disrupt so much furniture (unnecessarily) they took the frig doors off and walked it inside & thru home easily and quickly. Not prema donnas like the 1st crybaby crew. At this point I felt lucky to even have a refrigerator to turn ON. They said that they could not connect water for ice maker and water on door. They did not level the darn thing so that the doors will swing back, practically knock me over. I have a hard time with balance & walking, standing etc. So I bid them farewell, tipped generously and, again, just felt lucky. What an outfit. When I called about the first delivery crew the same original sales-hole wasn't near as nice and didn't have time or wanted to hear anything except bye bye .... he had already forgotten my name. I would never buy anything from them again, never believe anything they say nor recommend them or trust them with a desk fan!!!!! Mostly jerks with no conscience or honor at all.

After reading my first review I decided that this business deserved a better review…read more Pleasant experience at St Lucie Appliances a new store on NW Gatlin Blvd. Carlos the owner is an enthusiastic knowledgeable professional running a "scratch and dent" appliance store . Looking at his stock I only saw one obvious scratch and no dents. We purchased a washer, dryer, and refrigerator for 50% less than they were charging at Best Buy PLUS he did not charge for delivery, installation, moving one refrigerator to our garage and taking away all the old appliances. I recommend that if you are in the market that you would do yourself a real favor by checking this out. He even was able to reuse our old pedestals be reworking them. No charge and it saved us $600. And he suggested it!!! He also delivered them the same day we bought them!!!!
