Our 2018 GE Microwave stopped heating and was making buzzing/sparking sound. I called Ben first thing in he morning, and sent him a picture of the model# label. He knew what is was right away and gave me a cost to repair which was reasonable. He was very honest, he said price a new one and if you decide to fix just let him know. We didn't want the hassle of buying a new one, and having to schedule a new install. I called Ben back, told him to fix it. He said he would come over, confirm the problem, which he did right away. The part came in in 2 days, and as he said it would take about 45 minutes to install. He was right on time, very neat in doing the job. The unit is working fine now. Wavecrest Appliance recently came out to my house to fix an annoying sound associated with my Maytag refrigerator. The sound was very elusive and there was no predicting when it would start. Ben Willocks, the owner,came out to my house twice. He fairly charged me for the first visit and came back the next day at no charge due to a recurrence of the sound. We have a double wall oven that is only a couple of years old, but it was giving us a code and would not heat. I called Wavecrest and Ben was responsive, assesed the situation, asked me to send the model number and ordered the parts. He scheduled a time to make the repair as soon as he received the parts and had our oven up and running quickly. Ben is the best. Quick response and totally reliable. My washing machine had a major problem and Ben came and checked the tub. The plate that holds the tub to the motor had totally corroded. His response was to check out how much to replace the tub. "Sometimes I'm surprised but I don't count on it". He recommended two brands and that settled that. It would have been almost $500 to fix. My new one comes Saturday. And Ben will always be my backup. read more

Another satisfied customer with this great family business. My 6 year old fridge wasnt cooling and Ben was able to come out the same day I called. It was a coolant leak and Ben had to break the news there was nothing he could do because of where the leak was located (appliances dont last as long as they used to). He spent the time making sure that is where the leak was while acknowledging my 5 year old daughter who decided to play 20 questions while he worked. I just had to write a review on this wonderful business. I called because I was having a difficult time with my oven and when Ben answered the phone he was so polite and nice. Instead of charging me for a service call he told me two different options to try to resolve the problem with my oven. After I tried the first one and it did not work I did the second option and it worked. I don't normally write reviews but in this day and age when you really can't trust people it's so nice to know that there is somebody still out there that is willing to help instead of just trying to make a buck. We have a GE bottom freezer refrigerator and the cooling control was not working properly, I got Ben's number from Angie's list, he promptly called me to set up an appointment, diagnosed the problem within minutes, it was the Motherboard and he had the part in his truck, we were back in business within minutes. The fridge used to run all the time, now it's nice to see in reaches the desired temperature and shuts off......no more soft ice cream. We are very sastified with his service and will recommend him to all my friends and family. The repair was a lot cheaper than putting out $1500 for a new fridge. I also like the fact that it is a family owned business, means it's his livelihood at stake and not a guaranteed pay check.
