Omg... I thought the Bushel Stop by my home was great- but this one is a mecca for plants! I had the sweetest lady helping me, Maria. They literally have it all (minus some of those rare plants) but extremely well priced plants for their size and quality. Pretty much everything I have gotten from both shops have thrived through the seasons. They have everything you could possibly imagine for your yard. From rocks to every plant known to man, errr- mesnt to say slso woman. I read a review from a lady who was upset because she asked about having native plants. They probably thought she was from immigration, which is why they said they have native plants. They probably didn't understand what she meant. Anorhernonline complaint because they didn't have organic stuff and dirt and plants. I mean, give me a break. They sell plants and rocks and mulch in bulk. Probably not the best place to look for organic stuff anyway but I guess you can't please everybody. Bought a plant to attract butterflies. A $20 perennial. When I got it home I looked it up on Wikipedia. I read it was from So. Asia, Africa, not the Americas. Most concerning, it is toxic. I decided I did not want this on my property. Went back to return it knowing their no return plant policy since it was a safety concern. I have a 13 month old grandson and 2 small dogs and expected an exchange it for another $20 plant. I explained the concern to a person in charge and he said, "many plants here could harm someone if they eat enough of it". I added my concerning even the sap that could irritate my grandchild and he walked away. I left the plant. Another employee took it away. Don't expect "customer service" or "common courtesy" at Bushel Stop! I will never shop there again. read more

SOD IS CHEAPER AT A A A Garden Center. I bought my first round of sod here, it was part brown part green and more expensive than A A A Garden Center. I bought the second round at A A A Garden Center and it was much greener and cheaper. To put things in perspective, I paid 145 $ for half a palette of sod at Buschel Shop... Paid 106$ for half a palette of sod at A A A Garden Center. They charge 1.99 per sod layer but give you a discount with the more you buy. See the comparison picture below. The greener is from A A A and the brown-ish one is from Buschel. Also, cI was charged 100$ delivery charge by buschel shop... to LITERALLY flip the truck bed up and let the sod palette in my driveway.. of course the palette broke and there was a mess to clean up. I was literally asking for a delivery update while I have a mother in the hospital and the woman on the phone didn't care whatsoever to ask the driver to notify me from the previous stop to give me a heads up so that I could leave the hospital and be home for the delivery. All she cared about with her rules and regulations, and to not be willing (when everybody has a cell phone to easily give a heads up) to be able to meet a delivery is the epitome of indifference and lack of humanity. If you're looking for plants with a butt load of chemicals that will cause more red tide flair ups and damage to our fragile ecosystem and no benefits to wildlife, sure. They have zero organic potting soil and zero Florida natives. When you ask if they have natives they lie and tell you they are all natives and then, when you say they are not, that they are in the shade section which they are not. Then when you leave without buying anything because you're only looking for natives, which they don't have, you get a hassle from the guy who lied demanding to know why you didn't get anything and when you say there are no natives in there he demands to know how you know and you say because you know what they are and then demands to know why you want them and then told well go bury some seeds. It was a very ignorant provocative conversation on his part and as a woman and as a consumer who makes her own choices I don't want a confrontation so didn't even buy mulch. read more

On March 22 2019 we purchased 11- Lantana plants. Yesterday we notice 2 of the plants were in poor shape. The other 9 planted and cared for in the same flower bed were fine. Snail bait and fertilizer had been applied as directed by Bushel Stop employees. Today March 29th I called Bushel Stop to arrange replacement plants. I was expecting this as Big box stores have plant guarantees. To my surprise I was rather abruptly told they do not guarantee anything since they don't plant them or maintain them. It sure is poor customer service to speak to customers that way - plus their invoice E68731 clearly states. CLAIMS and RETURNS must be accompanied by this bill. I of course have my receipt. BAD. I update to FAVORABLE. During the Covid-19 situation The Bushel Stop stepped up their staff and operation to meet the demands of the extreme number of customers that had increased desire and time to landscape. Came here to buy drain rock told the white old man up front it was my first time here and would like some help purchasing 3/4 sized drain Rock told me pay him upfront and he cashed me out handed me my receipt and told me to wait out next to the green flag. There are multitudes of ceramics, rocks, statues and fountains to fit many decor styles. At first glance, the options are many, but some items were pricey. Not knowing the precise quality and origin of some of the items would deter me from paying too much. However, the selection was pretty good. We use this place for bulk buys for our home and business. We usually plan to spend around 250-500$ per visit. We try to go during less busy times, usually weekdays around 2 ish and have always received amazing customer service. They even gave my son a few free polished slag crystals with our purchases. We never felt rushed or pressured like we have at other stores like Pinders (awful place), nor did we have anyone soliciting information onto us. It was a very peaceful enjoyable experience and it's our favorite place to landscape from. As someone with Autism Spectrum Disorder, I'm grateful peaceful, no pressure, places like this exist. As other reviewers stated, the prices are higher sometimes, but the quality is impeccable. Manager Tony is out of his mind. Perhaps overwhelmed or misunderstood, this guy is angry, condescending, and arrogant! He began challenging me at the counter in a very unprofessional way after another manager Herb had "offered" to replace 3 stepping stones from a previous order which arrived at my home scratched, and broke on installation. I never asked for anything! It was offered to me! Tony demanded the broken tile back, something Herb never said to do. Tony then started yelling at me "I guess we are just giving money away around here". I began to object to his tone and comments directed at me, which he promptly shut down. After marking my receipt for the substitute stones, he gave a very obnoxious "have a nice day" to me. I tried showing pictures of the stones to bring some clarity to the situation, and he again yelled "have a nice day" then ignored me. Other employees at the counter seemed uncomfortable with what was happening but I also felt they were not surprised by Tony's demeanor. I know I'm only a homeowner, but have spent over $1,500 in the store over the past few weeks (a pallet of rock, 2 dozen stepping stones, bushes, plants, and a tree). This was no way to be spoken to or treated, and a customer should never have to take the brunt if a manager is upset with his co-manager! I am seeking the contact information for the owner who I understand is a woman. Nothing short of an apology from this manager is acceptable. Up until now we had a nice experience with this company. Since buying a home to renovate a couple years ago we've found we "need" everything they sell here. I can and literally do spend hours here. This is the mall for anyone that gardens, likes to work in the yard, is into landscaping or just takes pride in your homes curb appeal. Bushel stop has several locations and they all serve the trade as well as the public so their prices are pretty reasonable. I find on things like potted plants, mulch, sod, fertilizer & landscaping rocks / stones their prices beat the home improvement stores. They also carry many items that the home improvement stores don't. Need a REALLY big machete'? Well, if you don't need a machete'......‍ They also have the largest supply in the area of top soil, mulch, rocks, fill, pavers, decor, etc. and sell by the bag or truck load. They also deliver for a fee. They've also been a tremendous resource to us as far as suggesting what to plant where and when and the care needed. But in addition to landscaping expertise and materials they also have an excellent selection of outdoor decor for pools, patios, decks and porches. Like really cool water fountains, bird baths, decorative rocks and the brightly colored Adirondack chairs & tables that are made completely from recycled material. And just as a whiney FYI side note.... we actually purchased our 2 Adirondacks like this in downtown Delray 3 years ago and paid $70. more for each chair than they sell for at Bushel Stop now! But I love them! They come in beautiful colors, are light weight and last forever. As I said above, Bushel Stop has several locations including Delray, Lantana, Lake Worth, Pompano, and Hollywood.
