1. Congratulations to Alberto & his business partners. Thank you for updating the space and bringing the business into the modern-day business that it was meant to be. Love that you are going to do custom flower and orchid arrangements. Happy for you! 2. Peter Werneken knows flowers and plants. He has fifty years experience in this business and is a gem! The customers love him due to his education in this business. The customers also love his because he is an educated man, polite, smart, and treats everyone with kindness. 3. You seriously need an electronic marque in front of the garden center, off Atlantic Blvd. It would allow you to run specials, tell people about the new services you have, the flower and orchid shop, landscaping services...and so much more. Alberto, this is a smart business move that I was trying to tell you about, and when we first met, last year. I look forward to the new sign! Congratulations! It was my first time shopping with them. The place is beautiful just as you drive in the parking area. I was looking for a last-minute orchid and was able to find the most beautiful one with the I feel so can't remember his name. But it was a Sunday afternoon. He was knowledgeable and most important, personable and kind. The orchid was such a success that people asked me. Where did I found and of course, I told them exactly where to go. For now on this will be my spot to find that specific plant I am looking for. I highly highly recommend. read more

Delray Garden Center - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Delray Beach, Florida

Coming to the Delray Garden Center is such a feel good. All of the colors, scents, and healthy beautiful plants always make me feel good. My issue is the plants get so large in Florida and take over, I am forever cutting back and that's today's project. When I came home, I lost a few dried out potted plants, and I'm happy to come in and refresh. Having a morning conversation with the colorful rescue parrots is equally fabulous! read more

Delray Garden Center is one of those rare local businesses that actually lives up to its reputation. The selection is excellent, healthy plants, trees, and landscaping supplies that clearly get proper care. Nothing looks half-dead or neglected, which already puts them ahead of most garden centers. What really stands out is the staff. They're knowledgeable without being pushy, and they take the time to understand what you're trying to accomplish instead of just selling you whatever's closest. I asked a few specific questions and got practical, experience-based advice, not vague gardening clichés. Prices are fair for the quality you're getting, and the overall layout makes it easy to browse without feeling overwhelmed. Whether you're doing a full landscaping project or just picking up a few plants, this place feels reliable, which matters when you're investing time and money into your yard. If you care about quality, expertise, and supporting a well-run local business, Delray Garden Center is absolutely worth the stop. read more

I always buy my plants here. There is a vast selection and all are well-taken care of. There are many nurseries in the area but I continue to buy my plants large and small here and they always thrive. The prices are very fair and the service is friendly and helpful. I bought a braided hibiscus tree today and Peter provide excellent service in wrapping it and putting it in my car. I am so happy to have my new plant and I know it will thrive. My recent purchase of an Aralia palm is also planted and very happy in my front walkway. Thank you for exceptional service. read more

I recently visited Delray Garden Center with my mother-in-law, and we had an amazing experience! Peter, in particular, was incredibly helpful and customer-oriented. We were searching for specific types of jasmin, and Peter guided us through their selection with great expertise and patience. His friendly demeanor and detailed knowledge made our visit truly enjoyable. We found the perfect plants for our new home, and I can't recommend Delray Garden Center enough! read more

They redesigned my back yard, some of the front yard, fixed a decking issue and installed lighting. The design and plant choices were spot on. The choice to use turf in the backyard was also spot on. Robbie is very knowledgeable, responsive, creative, professional and communicates very well. His staff that looks after my yard for 3 years now is also very good, professional and responsive. Having worked with various landscape architects, landscapers and lawn service companies over 30 years, I would have to put Delray Garden Center at the top of the list. To be able to do all they do and be equally effective is rare. read more

The Delray Garden Center has been in business since 1989. They are certified by the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association. I always love visiting garden stores for inspiration and I have passed by here many times and was always curious about what they had. You can visit the Delray Garden Center to purchase plants or they will come to you to make recommendations based on your property. I opted to come in person and I am so glad I did. The center is a tropical oasis with a surprise around every corner like a statue, fountain, gazebo, or their rescue birds. Staff was on hand to give help but they also left me free to wander at will. The plants looked very healthy and were priced reasonably compared to other plant nurseries I have been too. I especially loved their orchids. If you don't see what you want just ask. They will be more than happy to share their expert knowledge and assist you. read more

I've lived in Delray Beach for 30 years and anytime I've needed plants I go to Home Depot or all the other usual suspects, so I can be treated badly and receive absolutely no expert advice about my purchases Last week, I wandered into the Delray Garden Center. Johnathan, who is an amazing gifted artist with invaluable knowledge who truly helped me set up my interior and exterior Living space with some of the most beautiful plants I've ever seen. Home Depot orchids may have been Ten dollars less expensive, but orchids like this I have never seen with such vibrant colors and Jonathan took the time to explain to me why. He did not knock the competition, in fact he was very respectful. As I was leaving, he came running after my car because he found a rosemary plant which I could not find, but he had found one remaining rosemary plant He told me they would be getting in more next week so I went back this week So I went back this week and worked with a man named Ivan, who was just as helpful, courteous, kind, and knowledgeable, and went so far to accommodate me, he took apart the most beautiful topiary so I could have the plant that I wanted. He gave me such an education about plants. I could not stop buying...I bought the most beautiful white Anthurium,, Cala Lily and all kinds of other gorgeous oxygenating plants for my interior spaces But the most enjoyable part of all....this establishment is an oasis. It is such a beautiful escape and such a wonderful place to go not just to shop but to relax and heal. Everything they do is designed to bring beauty, healing and relaxation and a Zen lifestyle into everyone's home. If they would let meI would work here for free, so I could be a greeter and just sit and look at all of the beautiful works of art they create. Nothing would please me more. I will never go to another Garden Center in Delray Beach ever again The Delray Garden Center made me a loyal customer read more

Delray Garden Center is like a little oasis zen garden, beautiful! They have tortoise and tropical birds just hanging out enjoying the foliage. I was so encouraged by the last review, I went there. How disappointing. Yes, it is quite large, with a wide variety. What they are lacking severely, is pricing. I did not see a single price. You had to ask, and they weren't very helpful. She needed to know what I wanted, and then showed me the most expensive, not telling me there was a less expensive size, until I enquired. I like prices to be seen. I do not want to keep asking and then have to remember. If you like a price made up at the end, then this is the place for you,. read more

one of those hole in the wall places where one really just sees an outdated sign by the road and then drives past it on busy West Atlantic. Drive in sometime and park in the back and it's honestly one of the best escapes into a different world. As soon as you swing towards the back you will be surrounded by jungle like plants, music that is ambient and slightly godly, statues and giant vases, and the overall feeling of slight plant magic. Prices: Pretty unbeatable- it's clearly taken care of by the people who run this place-not some large plant mill Home Depot generic place. All the plants are beautiful- well watered, no yellow leaves, and taken care of. Be careful of mosquitoes b/c of the standing water in some pots and ponds- Prices are cheaper than Home Depot in general and quality is better. Must gets: Terrariums and succulents. If you're a fan of those, they are only 15$ and 30$ for the middle and large sized ones. Succulents look super healthy. I recommend the bonsais too- Clearly some rarer species you won't see sitting around Lowes or Home Depot. Large tropical plants to put in your backyard- the bougainvillea and the hibiscus are lovely (check out the fireball hibiscus) People are friendly and will teach you about the plants- I think people should seek to put terrariums on their table decorations rather than plants from a flower store b/c of the vitality and utility of keeping these longterm! read more

We're from out of town and needed a few plants for my Dad's front yard. We stopped here after going to a larger garden center in Lantana where nobody offered to help or even appeared to be working. At Delray Garden Center, Alex walked right out directing us to parking and immediately asked if we needed help. He was extremely knowledgeable and directed us to the plants we would need. We're pretty clueless about Florida plants and gardening in general. Alex knew it all and was so helpful. It really eased our minds that we were purchasing the right plants. Prices seemed reasonable which was a bonus. The place is clean and well maintained. The large variety of trees and plants looked well cared for. If we need anything else, we'll definitely be heading back to see Alex. read more

Walked in here today for the first time abs I was in love. The staff was very nice, knowledgeable, the lady who helped me knew all the names of all the plants I asked about. Their prices were comparable with other nurseries around the area. Great selection all around, plants were taken care of, and lots of foliage with their own growth. Their orchids were 3X25 which is amazing. Deep into the center they had wind machines, shades, sculptures, pots of all sizes. Around the parking lot they had parrots, roosters, and other birds loose, not in cages! I had a beautiful and relaxing time read more

Was hoping to find out about putting a new plant in my porch. Delray gardens always looked inviting. Our first greeting was with Alice Stone faced and no personality . She made sure she let us know they close at 6pm SHARP. I asked her about one of the plants. She was not super knowledgeable about the item. I would surely think she should know if she's working there. She told me to Google it. We will not revisit because there are plenty of other nurseries with much nicer staff. I went there today to purchase 2 new plants to fit the large pots we bought there b4. I brought in the exact dimensions of the pots and showed it to Jay, who really wasn't paying attention and said " it will fit & walked away. I brought the plants home and as expected the plant is far too small for the pot. I immediately called the garden center and told Jay I need to return the plant for a larger one . He said no returns allowed. I told him that either change the plant for a larger one or I'll put a Stop on our credit card. He refused to do anything and offered no help and didn't seem to care. He started out helping us but after we had a few questions he just walked away. As a side issue both Jay and the lady working at the counter were of no help what so ever and were poor business people and extremely unhelpful . We thought that it was better to buy from a smaller business rather then a large chain, but we were so wrong. Bonnie read more

This is a good garden center spot that I visited BUT when we pulled up, there is a huge blue lives matter sign. That was a huge turn off and I almost didn't even go in. I really think that this business needs to rethink its ideology. I spent less money there than I planned, only buying the one thing I came for instead of all the cool things I saw. I'll spend my money where I feel welcome, and that sign made me feel pretty unwelcome. read more

We were not familiar with this garden center location when yesterday it just popped up with their orchid sign. Glad we visited! Craig (Gregg?) was easy to get to talk to and he was full of information in general. We had a small conversation also with an other gardener, it was a delight. The Garden was bursting with plants, palm trees and great selection of bromeliad and their specialty, orchids. The place had an sweet fairytale feeling with few shags and overflowing garden displays. Totally enjoyed the visit and came home with Aechemea Blue Tango Bromeliad and a little colorful green plant to hang. Will visit again. read more

Beautiful plants, and a long time part of Delray Beach. I have seen some of their landscape jobs, and they are beautiful too. As a fifty plus year resident of the area, I used to love this place, but I am so sad and disappointed that I was not even given the courtesy of a refusal after spending my valuable time and money on assembling the details of a job I wanted done. I met with the landscape person, explained my needs, got instructions from him as to how to proceed, emailed him what he wanted, THEN NOTHING!!!! I can understand that maybe he or his company did not want my job, but at least he should have told me. read more

I went in there for the first time last weekend, high prices for low quality nursery stock. Most of the plants they had were either way under sized for their containers or just overall in unhealthy conditions and the prices were marked higher than other similar/but high quality nurseries like excelsa gardens or similar. Would not recommend buying from them. Guy on a golf cart was also unwilling to help point out where the few plant varieties I was interested in. Maybe I got the short end of the stick, but I won't be going back again. read more

We recently hired Delray Garden Center to convert our traditionally landscaped yard into a beautiful stonescape. We considered four companies. DGC absolutely stood out amongst them all. DGC removed all of our grass without the use of chemicals.....this was very important to us for our health and for the health of our two dogs. Our contact was Jay. He understood what we were planning to do and he made sure that we put together the right materials and the right plan. The crew that did the job were very focused, detailed and nice. Jay made sure everything was accomplished according to our plan. Together....they are a great team. read more
