I ordered two pallets. Supposed to be total 1,000 sq ft. of sod. Needed just about 900 sq ft to…read morecover. No pieces thrown out, rectangular lawn, virtually no trim waste. Coverage came up short. Measured the laid down sod, adding extra six inches to account for the trim on one 32 foot reach. Came up to 850 sq ft. Called. Reach an owner who acknowledged they had been called about short pallets the week before, but I was the first one this week. I asked for the additional sod, he offered a refund, I said okay. I also informed him that I needed 6 more pallets for the back lawn. I called today to confirm the next order, and yes, they did give me a refund for the short shipment even though I wanted the sod, but then this happened; He said this to me "We will fulfill your next order only if we don't have any more problems with you". WHAT! Am I buying sod from the cartel? Really, what a thing to say to a customer. This and this alone is the reason for the one star rating. Anyhow, I go out and measure again for my own sanity. This time did a much more precise calculation, broke my lawn down into rectangles and triangles and once again came up to 850'ish sq ft. of laid sod. Mind you, there is about 40 sq ft of sod that is probably dead, but I had my guys lay it down anyway. My landscaper kept shouting "grass is yellow, grass is yellow". So I got about 810 sq ft of reasonably healthy sod on a 1000 sq ft order. Mind you, I understand you should expect 10% waste on pallet orders. If I got my 1,000 sq feet as ordered, I wouldn't be writing this review. My impression, either they know they're selling less than 500 sq ft pallets, or their supplier is knowingly shorting the orders. I tried to inform them of what I believed to be the latter, but given their response, I believe it's the former. Either way, its a problem.

No one nursery has everything but they do have a much larger variety of flowers, shrubs and small trees than most other growers. The quality is always top notch and the prices are in line with other wholesale nurseries and certainly much much cheaper than any retail outlet including Home Depot. The only advantage a home owner would have at Home Depot is the return policy ( but you will pay 30% more for that privileged). I know of no wholesale nursery that offers returns on plants. Who would know how you planted them or watered them? Anyways they do not carry large trees like big Oaks or things like benches and planters and stone like Bushel Stop or Growers Outlet but if your looking to create a garden, install a shrub hedge or pick up a few pretty plants to brighten up your home I highly recommend it. Note: As far as I know the public is only allowed to shop there on Saturdays. If you want to come during the week you will need to accompany your landscaper. Call them to make sure before you head out.
