I am giving Sanctuary Gardens one star only because zero stars is not an option. Sanctuary Gardens designed and installed landscaping around my pool and hardscape area. We did not request the specific plant species or placement. We relied on Sanctuary Gardens as the landscape professionals to select appropriate plants and locations. They selected and installed large bird of paradise plants extremely close to my pool deck, pavers, coping, lighting, and related hardscape. The plants were installed only approximately 17 months ago, and the problems began approximately 13 months after installation. These are not root issues that developed over many years. The roots lifted and distorted pavers, created uneven walking surfaces and potential trip hazards, and became entangled with my landscape-lighting wiring. I am also concerned about potential future damage to pool-related plumbing, electrical components, coping, and below-grade infrastructure. I made repeated efforts to have Sanctuary Gardens address the problem, including warranty-related requests, insurance-related communications, and formal communications through legal counsel under Florida's Chapter 558 construction defect process. In my experience, Sanctuary Gardens has ignored the communications, denied responsibility, failed to resolve the issue, and failed to provide requested information through the formal process. They seem to have an excuse for why every issue is supposedly not covered. Based on my experience, I would NEVER recommend Sanctuary Gardens. Homeowners should proceed with extreme caution, especially for landscaping near pools, pavers, coping, lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, or hardscape. read more

We are very happy with the landscaping work by Sanctuary Gardens. We interviewed several companies and selected them because they were professional and customer oriented. Jorge met with us several times to review our project and answer our questions. He offered suggestions about our design and was easy to work with. Jocelyn and Damion in the office were polite and helpful as well. The team that installed our landscaping seemed to take pride in their work and did a great job. They also cleaned up the yard after the job was done. Sanctuary Gardens prices were reasonable, and they allowed us to visit their nursery to select the specific trees for our yard. They installed a timer with a bubbler watering hose so we wouldn't have to water the trees every day. So nice! We would recommend Sanctuary Gardens to anyone who wants have quality landscaping done at a reasonable price. read more

Sanctuary Gardens designed and installed our landscaping in January 2022. Melina did a nice job with the design, taking our opinions into account and making changes right up until installation. Victor and crew completed the installation and also did a nice job, although every single knowledgable person has questioned the install of the Sylvester Palm, which is arguably set too high. Time will tell.... Signed a monthly maintenance agreement which immediately raised red flags. Mike and crew showed a lack of detail in their work, and did not improve after receiving feedback. Escalated to Fab, who agreed 100% with my feedback and gave his word that things would improve. They did for one month, then they settled back to their old sloppy ways. Feedback and pictures were sent to Mike and he never disagreed, but also didn't improve. I finally got tired and frustrated with having to spend an hour cleaning up every month after they left. Cancelled the monthly service agreement in August 2022. Also cancelled the pest control agreement, which was not addressing problems that Mike, to his credit, voluntarily pointed out. If you are looking for a full service landscaping company I cannot recommend Sanctuary Gardens. Look elsewhere or expect to be disappointed. read more

Horrible customer service and horrible workmanship. Design center will tell you one way to water while the installers will tell you another. They will use this as an excuse to not honor their products. Additionally, they'll promise you paperwork on install day that covers all maintenance but never send it over - then refer to that in the future as a policy. Both Jorge and Jocelyn are great to work with, very professional and and responsive. Although our landscaping project was very small by comparison to the scale of the jobs they routinely perform, we were treated like we were equally important throughout the process. Take your business somewhere else . I have given them many opportunities to make the situation correct and they have chosen to ignore and blatantly not take responsibility for killing my plants after putting what was suppose to be fertilizer they put weed killer on my plants . We hired Sanctuary to do a landscape job and we paid a lot of money . We also hired them to maintain the landscape monthly because I assumed they knew what to do and were competent to do so . I have been trying now to sell e this for 2 months now and I am fed up . I have photos and emails assuming responsibility for what they did but instead of replacing with what we had there previously and doing it the correct way they made short cuts and installed the incorrect plant . Instead of sending someone out to speak with us and see the problem , they have not responded to my email nor called me back . we spent a lot of money and take pride in our yard and it is just not right that they don't want to rectify the situation . When I called to discuss the issue with the owner- Fab Munez, he could care less. Make sure you get an itemized quote before they start the work. Get it in writing. They were our weekly service for two years and during winter would skip weeks charging the full rate. After having three-week intervals between services, I let them go. I estimate they owed us at least three more cuttings. They had the audacity to charge us another $125 for services not provided and sent it to collection. Buyer beware; they are not trustworthy and don't care. read more

Wish I could give a rating based on the work they did but I can't because they never provided me with the estimate. I had someone come out to my home back in mid January for a remodel of my front yard. I called this company because I liked the look of the work I had seen online. After waiting for a few weeks for a design and price, I called and spoke with Jocelyn who said she would reach out to the designer and see where my estimate was. Now a week or two later, I called again and left a message. Still no response. I would be understanding if they said they were busy and it would take a few weeks, but to have no contact or updates with your potential customer is not ok. I am giving Sanctuary Gardens only five stars simple because that is the highest option available. The truth is that they deserve more than five stars due to the high quality of their work in landscaping design and construction. I could not be more pleased with the work they did for me. In addition, their level of professionalism and workmanship is of the highest order from start to finish. The entire work crew, especially the supervisor, were so accommodating. They are also highly skilled practitioners in this crowded field of landscaping design and construction here in Wellington. After reaching out to the company in late August 2021 to re-design and re-construct our landscape, we were able to meet in no time with the designer Melina, and provider her ideas of what we wanted, as well as the budget we were working with. Within a few days she provided us with three dimensional designs which met our budget. More importantly, we immediately fell in love with the design. It was determined that the project would take three days, but it was actually completed within 2 1/2 days and we are exceedingly happy and contented with the finished product. read more

*******Update: Sep 1, 2021: After taking my credit card info for payment and agreement to delivery and installation of a foxtail I purchased for $250 from Sanctuary Gardens, I was called today by Jocelyn who told me that the owner believed that "We are not a good fit and therefore we are going to refund you your money" This was their answer to a unsatisfied customer. What does that say about this business? I'll let you decide. And as for the refund that was mention that was offered. It was I who asked about Sanctuary Gardens refund policy and I was told by Irma that "up to one week from purchase and your tree is still in the ground. We didn't dig it yet, so about 1 week" At this time I told I was just asking to see what options I had. Oh, BTW the dead foxtail that I'M paying to replace is 1 of 2 that was purchased at Sanctuary Gardens in 2015. 2015, I purchased 2 foxtails with delivery, 2 stump removal of sable palm tree and installation of the 2 foxtails for $650 from Sanctuary Gardens. ****************************Original Post below: Sanctuary Gardens is very unprofessional, deceiving and a what appears to be a hustle; but, I'll let you decide. Here's my story below Saturday, Aug 28, 2020 Irma sold me a foxtail palm, a very nice palm for $200. She informed me that they were very busy and wouldnt be able to deliver for 4-6 weeks. I told her I was OK with waiting but they (she and some other guy) still insisted on recommending Mario, someone who once worked for Sanctuary Garden but now has his own business. She recommended his work. I texted Mario and sent him pics of the foxtail stump for removal. He quoted me $400 for delivery, removal of stump and installation. I text him back asking if he realized that he wants to charge me twice as much as the cost of the foxtail. I told him I would look into having Sanctuary Gardens deliver it then. By this time Saturday, Sanctuary Gardens was close and would reopen until Monday. Monday I called Sanctuary Gardens and spoke to Irma. Told her Mario was charging a crazy amount for the work and if she could deliver and what would be the cost. She told me she would have to check and get back to me. She called back that morning and told me it would cost @250 for deliver and installation. I had asked about delivery but I got really excited when I heard the $250 but I wanted to confirm that she meant delivery, stump removal and installation. She then said, "Oh, I didn't price stump removal into that price. I'll have to call you back" She did call back and informed me that now the price for delivery, stump removal and install is $750. I asked her, "How did the price go from $250 to $750?" and she said because of the stump removal. I then told her that I'll just have them deliver. She said that delivery would be $130 and do I want to pay over the phone. I told her when she has a tentative delivery date, I will pay her. So, after hanging up with her I coordinated for the stump to be removed. Having done this, I drove over to Sanctuary Gardens and told her that I would take the delivery and install for $250. She went into the office, came back out and said the secretary, Joselyn, that does the booking for delivery is not here but I can leave my payment information. So I asked is there something I need to sign for delivery and install agreement and she no. I'll have her call you and pay. It all felt shady and underhanded. This was a very unprofessional encounter. I work hard for my little pennies and it seem as if they just wanted to find some way to hustle me and get my money for Sanctuary Gardens or to force me to see the "deal" in what their friend Mario had offer. I feel very sad and manipulated. This is what's wrong with the world. Everybody is looking out for themselves without any regards to honesty and fairness. You want to go here? You decide. From the minute we called Jocelyn (Landscape Installation Specialist) and met with Jorge (owner) to discuss plans for our home until the completion of our project we were blown away with theIr unbelievable professionalism, talent and responsiveness. Jorge has an eye and ability to plan the most magnificent landscape imaginable. We are thrilled beyond belief with the outcome of our project. Jorge listened to every single word we said prior to drawing our plans and nailed everything! His employees are top of the line folks who were as polite and kind as Jorge...which is saying a lot. We had lots and lots of questions and Jorge and Jocelyn both, patiently responded even though I'm sure we were a nuisance! We wanted tropical & colorful with little maintenance. When Jorge, one of the owners, came out to show us his design, we were in awe. He heard everything we wanted and understood our vision. Saw a couple houses where this company did the landscaping.. While they were very similar to each other I still liked the style and thought it would work well with my home. I called the company and made an appointment for someone to come out for an estimate. All was going well up until this point. However I then waited over a week for a quote that was promised in 2-3 days. After calling multiple times I received a quote that simply listed a bunch of plants and a total. I then called back asking for some type of design/layout because I don't know how I would be able to choose a company if I really don't know what I'm getting. After, again, multiple phone calls and over a weeks time, I've yet to hear back from anyone! The two stars I gave are out of courtesy of the work I've seen... But certainly not received! read more

Went in today to purchase a 7 gallon Clusia $20, and bougainvillea $8. Natalia and Angelino assisted us outside in selecting and carrying them to the vehicle and Daisy inside gave my 5yr old a tiny flower plant for free. She was so happy. They were all very friendly, kind, and helpful. Would shop again and recommend them due to friendliness and service. read more

After spending thousands to have our front lawn landscaped by Sanctuary Gardens, we decided to use their lawn service as well. Everything started pretty well but as time went on the the service got worse and worse. Two foxtail palms died. The first one was a surprise. We had them replace it thinking it was just a fluke. We were told that the first one died because it wasn't properly fertilized. Yeah, the landscape company said it wasn't properly fed. We were also told that if we bought the replacement tree from them that they would take care of it. Several hundred dollars later and another dead tree my wife was told that we didn't have a "fertilizer" contract so tough stuff. Now, we pay $125/ mo. for lawn care. That won't get you a handful of fertilizer? All they wanted to do was argue. We're done. Use them at your own risk. I have a dead palm and my yard looks like crap. Grass is always scalped even though I ask over and over to not cut it so low. The other palms don't get trimmed anymore and last time they were here they left a pile of weeds in the middle of my lawn. Seriously, I do NOT recommend this company!!!!! read more

This is what I call bad business and not training their employees very well. As a new home owner I was very excited to work with landscapers to make my home more beautiful on the outside. I made an appointment ONE MONTH AGO to have someone come out to my home for an estimate only to be called ONE HOUR BEFORE this appointment that they don't do properties in Palm Beach Gardens. When I called and provided my home address ONE MONTH AGO would have been a great time to tell me my home is out of their zone. Now I have to scramble to fine another company. POOR BUSINESS! I used Sanctuary Garden to do my front yard. The people come out to do the yard and plant the wrong flower. Wrong I told the men doing the job that I did not pick this plant, I was told to call the office. I had to literally chase someone down to get the right plant. After the job was completed no one follow up to see if it was done to my satisfaction. Less than six moths later one of the palm tree and several of the foxtails dead. For $5700 I excepted better service and plants. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more
