The nursery is very large and offers pretty much everything you could be looking for if you were heading to a big box store and then some. The plants all looked to be very well cared for, my only complaint would be that I was taken aback by the pricing. I expected the general plants that you see everyday to be priced a little lower or even equal to those big box stores but they were in fact more expensive. I did leave with a few calathea and this gorgeous sting ray alocasia that I did feel was reasonably priced for its size at $36. I would go back if I was in the area to see what other treasures I could find, however for my basics perennials and succulents I would not purchase here. Service was fine. My BF had a few questions about the sod and at $500 a pallet, we felt that was a bit excessive for the Zoysia when he said online it was advertised at a different price.

Asking several people locally where to go - including my Realtor and Landscaper - without hesitance, they all recommended A One Stop Garden Shop in Loxahatchee. They were spot on. I called in advance and spoke with Sam, explaining what I was looking to buy and limitations (toxicity) due to being a dog parent. On arrival, the property is sprawling, sectioned off by varied offerings - trees, shrubs, plants, cactus, decorative rock, large stones, etc. Locating Sam in the cabin, she was ready for my mini shopping spree. Taking a golf cart over to the section that applied to my intended purchases, Sam quickly pointed out exactly what best suited my plans. Without her educated assistance, it would have taken 3 hours and not been as targeted to what I wanted for my landscaping. Check out was equally fast and easy. Prices are a bit higher than some of the other local nurseries. But, the trees I bought appeared very healthy and flowering. Planting the trees was uneventful. They instantly brighten my yard and I look forward to enjoying their colorful blooms for several decades. Highly recommended! I'll return soon for more foliage and other relevant plantings.

From the moment my husband and I walked in, the staff was welcoming and informative -- they shared some intro facts about the place and gave us the space to explore at our own pace since it was our first visit. The orchid greenhouse alone is worth the trip. It's massive, filled with orchids in every size and color imaginable, and the prices are very reasonable for the full, vibrant blooms they offer. So beautiful in there! Beyond the orchids, they carry a nice variety of tropical fruit trees and a wide selection of outdoor plants for purchase -- plenty to browse and bring home. The woman at the checkout counter was a standout, even though I didn't catch her name. She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing details about all the fresh produce and the local farmers she sources it from. Everything was organic and fresh, and they even carry fresh eggs -- chicken, quail, and goose. How cool is that? We picked up tomatoes, garlic, peppers, and onions, along with some locally sourced tropical juices. We went with the soursop and tamarind, and they were absolutely refreshing and delicious. I'm already looking forward to my next trip -- I've got my eye on some orchids, more fresh produce, and maybe a couple of outdoor plants to take home.

According to the business website "We provide a broad range of quality exotic and unusual plant varieties as well as many of the classic favorites". Mark began his career at Fairchild Tropical Gardens in 1980 before opening this plant nursery in 1990 where they specialize in selling a diverse selection of gingers, bananas, palms, alocasias, ferns, bromeliads, and calatheas. Once you arrive they ask that you check in at the office. After that you are free to roam the gardens. They have several greenhouses set up. I like how they use items like doors, window frames, tables, and chairs, and mirrors to create areas of interest in the garden. I especially loved their orchids and bromeliads. I enjoy visiting botanical garden gardens and Excelsa Gardens had plants I had not even seen in these professional gardens. This nursery is an excellent resource for those in search of the unusual and unique for their gardens and landscaping.

One star, only because i can't do ZERO…read more I do not write reviews like this lightly -- but this experience has been so unacceptable that it needs to be clearly documented. Sanctuary Gardens designed and installed landscaping at my home, including three Traveler's Palms (often referred to as Bird of Paradise) placed dangerously close to my paver deck and pool. Within less than 13 months, the root systems from these plants have already caused **visible and significant damage**, including lifting and separating pavers and progressing toward the pool coping and surrounding infrastructure. Let me be clear: this is not normal settling or minor cosmetic movement. This is **active, aggressive root intrusion** from a species that should never have been planted this close to hardscape or a pool structure. The placement alone reflects a serious lapse in professional judgment and basic landscape design standards. The consequences are now very real: * Pavers are lifting and separating * The pool coping is at risk * There is potential exposure to underground plumbing * Electrical and lighting systems may also be impacted What is even more troubling than the defective work is the complete lack of accountability. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this professionally: * Sanctuary Gardens has **ignored repeated requests for remediation** * They have **failed to honor prior warranty claims** * They are now **ignoring communications from my attorney** At this point, I have been forced into legal action simply to protect my property. This is not how a reputable company operates. Mistakes can happen -- but refusing to respond, refusing to stand behind your work, and ignoring both the homeowner and legal counsel is unacceptable. If you are considering using Sanctuary Gardens, I strongly recommend that you think very carefully and do your due diligence. I would be more than willing to share details of my experience directly. Proceed with caution.
