Very disappointed with my experience. We purchased a lime tree and were given a price at the time of sale. When we returned to pick it up, we were told that the price we had been given was "wrong" and that we would either need to pay more or choose a different tree. What makes this especially frustrating is that it was the only lime tree available at the time, so it's difficult to understand how there could have been confusion about which tree was being sold. A business should honor the price quoted and agreed upon when the purchase is made, rather than changing the terms after the sale. The situation was handled poorly and left us feeling misled and undervalued as customers. Unfortunately, this experience has made us hesitant to do business here again. read more

Purchased a tree. Grew and cared for it. When it fruited, I found it was NOT what I was told I was purchasing. It had been mislabeled. It was an expensive purchase for me. They were rude when I called to tell them someone had mislabeled the tree. Incredibly rude. Looking at some YT video comments, this is not unusual for them. Several acres of exotic fruit-bearing trees are for sale, in 5-10-25 gallon buckets for you to take home that same day! But the gem of this place, is that you can BUY the fruit off these trees on-premise and SAMPLE the varietals all-year round to decide what you really want to plant! In 2019 I visited Excalibur EVERY weekend during mango-season. I tasted about 45 of the 100+ available mango varietals they offer for sale. I was able to narrow down to the 5-6 trees i wanted and then buy them for the 2020-2021 season! Now I know EXACTLY what type of fruit I will be harvesting! If you want more than silly mangoes... well of course they have: jack-fruit, mangosteen, plums, chinese plum, soursop, sugar-apple, durian, and DOZENS MORE! For LESS than 1/2 the price of the big-box stores... you get VERY HEALTHY trees, that are grown down here in SoFlo, so you wont get transplant shock, and the staff knows what they are talking about too... What a selection! Have never seen so many plants anywhere! And prices were very reasonable!

I had a call for mangos. Yelp lead me here in the rain and I'm not bothered at all. Not much to look at when approaching. Road is a dead end with Sons & Daughters up the way. It's like being in the country but under 5 minutes from traffic. Lemon Meringue (Po Pyu Kalay) mangos were to die for! I know they are suppose to be small - but here most weigh at least a pound. The flavor alone was 5 stars. So many mangoes and so many trees for those brace enough to plant them and not kill them like is most like do. TERRIBLE customer service. The staff were very rude and uninterested. Not interested at all in helping. Every staff member we talked with were extremely stand-off ish and sent clear messages of "get your trees and get out." If you are hoping ask any questions or learn at all, don't come here, this is not the place for you. One salesperson spent half of the conversation looking down at their phone texting. Came hoping to leave with some wonderful citrus trees and left angry that they don't treat their customers with a basic level of respect. read more

Got two Mamey trees here. It's very cool all the different trees they have, called around and no one else had Mamey. Healthy trees, they are doing really well. About one month ago I called Excalibur to see if they had trees that I would like to purchase and they told me on the phone that they did and I can come up and purchase them. 2 jack fruit trees and 2 Lychee trees were purchased that day. Two weeks later I noticed the jack fruit trees were very tall and skinny and could not stand up straight, I was told by multiple people that they were seedlings. I sent several emails and left messages. Not a single response from anyone. The customer service is non existent. Don't bother. read more

Had Been researching the Excalibar fruit tree nursery for the past year. Several people had directed me to Excalibar Fruit trees as the place to go for rare tropical fruit trees. I was pleasantly surprised when I finally went there today. Met the owner and also a gentleman by the name of Dennis who help me out and was very informative knew the products the ups and downs of different varieties. I purchased a Jabotacaba, sugar apple and A leechie tree today.plan on going bake to buy a Jack Fruit Tree. The grounds are Approximately 18 acres and hold a large variety of trees in different age and size as well. The staff was very helpful Preparing and loading the trees in my car. Highly recommend if you're looking for some exotic fruit trees from the tropics that can tolerate the weather in South Florida. read more

You'll find very knowledgeable people at Excalibur. I enjoy visiting their little carport fruit stand throughout the year to sample different tropical fruits in season, things you will not find in your local market. That little fruit stand gave me the start and push I needed to become a tropical-fruit-aholic. its specially good during the mango season. Although the nursery has some tropical ornamentals, Excalibur is mainly a tropical fruit tree nursery with a wide array of tropical fruit varieties from all over the world. as others have stated the nursery is in a an area that is residential acreage, not the type of nursery you can walk around on your own, but they have plenty of friendly employees who will drive you around in golf carts and take you to the plants you want to see and purchase. my little ones enjoy going along for the ride. My caribbean edible garden is in full swing and I was looking for some exotic fruit trees that I can enjoy right in South Florida without getting on a plane and going home. I found Quenepas, Still can't believe it. Apple Bannanas, Guava, Tamarind, Cassava. Once I plant these, my next trip will be for a fully grown coconut tree.. As a person that eats mostly fruits throughout the day, A tear came to my eye knowing that soon I will walk in my yard and get better quality fruit than in any store absolutely free. WooHoo to the whole new level! Tropical paradise on 18 acres of gorgeous land. I read some reviews that the stuff seemed to be less then friendly. Here is my experience: Yes, I do agree there was no standard American wide, white teeth smile and standard "how are you?" and yes I was fast in and fast out of the place, even thou I wanted to hang out. I did not take it as being rude, I took it as everyone was very busy taking care of the plants, land, fruits, customers, etc... CUSTOMER SERVICE: 5 star. I may not get the standard American approach, but what I did get a highly professional Spanish lady, named Minga, who was very diligent, fast in operations, who did not waste any of my time and "Oh, Boy, did she knew her trees?! What I needed is a tree expert to pick me the best, healthier, and high producing trees. Minga is a tree whisperer, you want to have when you buy your trees! NURSERY: healthy trees, out of this world variety of tropical trees, exotic trees, ornamental trees. I have not seen anything a like anywhere and I have being a tropical tree shopper for a white now. I write a bit with sadness, a bit with gladness. Gladness because I found such a cool nursery. Sadness, because we met the owner, and I could see he is older. So many cool nurseries I find in Florida seem to be run by older people, and I worry about the future of these nurseries. First off, this does not look like a standard nursery, except maybe a standard nursery in South Florida. It is in a residential type acreage neighborhood. You drive by many lots with horses, and then you come to a flurry of activity. The entrance to the nursery is on one side, parking on the other. It had rained the day we came so it was very muddy with large puddles to try to navigate. When we arrived, as other people have stated, you are immediately greeted by people in golf carts and offered to be escorted around. Some reviewers were irritated about not being able to walk around, but I can understand. The place is HUGE. It is not the sort of place you can easily walk around. Besides, there are no tags, no signs, no seeming organization. It would be useless and perhaps a liability for the owner to have people wandering around the whole place. How would you carry the plants so far either? Besides, we got such an awesome tour by our golf cart driver. We didn't find out until half way through that he was the owner. That explains his copious knowledge of plants. He hinted of trips to Thailand (to find new varieties of plants?) We were shown plants I had never heard of, smelled several fragrant flowers and leaves. There were many plants that we had been looking for, or didn't know that we were looking for, but now wanted. More than we had money to buy at the moment really. We bought two monstera deliciosa. We had mistakenly thought it was the swiss cheese plant, but we were corrected and given a clipping of that particular plant! We also found a plant we didn't know we wanted, candle bush. And I was able to replace a quadrangularis passiflora (giant granadilla) that didn't make it through the terrible heat and drought of this summer, at $5 cheaper than the other one I had bought. The owner bragged that he had an amazing inventory of many different types of plants, and I believed it from our short tour. It seems they have a focus on edible plants, so I asked, do you only do edibles? He said, no I have things that will kill you deader than a doornail...lol. Oh, it was out of our price range, but they had an acai palm, you know acais, one of those super fruits that go for high dollar at health food stores?! Contrary to some of the other older nurseries we have seen, the plants for this one seemed healthy, happy, and well taken care of. I do have to remark that all of our zipping around on a gold cart got me a little muddy since it had just rained. Someone kindly hosed me off. Probably better to go on a dry day! Lastly, they had a nice little farmers market at the checkout stand with a good variety of different mangoes and passion fruit. They did take credit card which was nice. read more

Just moved to Florida and decided I needed to plant some fruit trees. After dealing with a few other fruit tree purveyors I came across Excalibur - it was recommended to me by an organic farm. Boy, does this amazing establishment have it all! From Mangosteens to Durian to Coconut Cream Mangos to my newest addition an Oro Negro Advocado Tree, this huge plant haven has all the products. But what really separated them from everyone else were the employees. Mike scoured their lot for three days trying to find me the perfect Avocado tree, literally making sure it would be a perfect grower in my backyard. Rob offered me a full tour of the property and showed me more fruits then I even knew existed, before delivering me the Bay Leaf Tree I so desired. Folks - listen to my advice - see them first! Here you can find fruit tree varieties that are not available at ordinary nursery. For gardening freaks this is truly paradise. Staff / owners however are not customer service oriented at best and unfortunately, considering the little competition they are confronted with, have little incentive to change. They don't always have everything in stock, but their catalog is one of the best in South Florida (and the world). Yes, service has been "hit or miss" in the past, and some of the nursery stock has been there for a while, but still Excalibur is a vital resource if you're into tropical fruit trees. If you're looking for fruit trees, this is THE PLACE to go. They have Everything! The staff was really friendly and took us around the 20 acres in a golf cart. They have like 25 different kind of mangoes. They also carry all kinds of native Florida plants other than fruit trees, including all kinds of palms.
