SmartyPlants is a large family owned nursery and garden center. There is a small parking lot and near by street parking. I visited during one of their Coco mini's, the 3rd Sunday of some months. There were several local vendors and a food truck. There were photo ops and tables where you could make friendship bracelets and terrariums. There were also local speakers. I especially enjoyed the presentation about natural skin care. There is a tremendous selection of tropical plants, trees, flowers, and bushes. Inside they have a great selection of garden related merchandise.

I'm a big fan of Amelia's and I'm almost always able to find something new. Today's discoveries were a 6' long Vanilla orchid vine, a Florida native Maypop passion fruit, and a decent sized dragon fruit plant. Prices were good, service was great.

Great selection of pots

Very knowledgeable, friendly staff great place to get natives highly suggest stopping by for a stroll sometime.

Absolutely love this place! Beautiful plants, helpful staff - an oasis to enjoy!

They have a great selection of houseplants both common and rare. Their prices are a little on the higher side but you do get great customer service and they take great care of their plants unlike the big box stores. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for more common plants like pothos or monsteras there may be a few however the shop is on the smaller side. They also have succulents and baby fruit trees placed outside. There's also lots of unique pottery to choose from. Whether you're a new plant parent looking to get started with houseplants or a plant enthusiast looking for a new rare plant this little shop might have what you're looking for. Be on the lookout for events class in-store!

My first visit was this week for "workshop Wednesday" and left with 5 plants and a deep need to return soon! I learned so much from the worm queen, Melissa! The staff at the shop is knowledgeable and attentive, they even offer transplanting services. They retail a variety of rare plants, beautiful substrates, and containers. A beautiful selection of local art and garden themed shirts are also available for purchase. 10/10 you HAVE to check this place out! If not to buy a plant, at least to see the amazing selection they have! I'm very excited to make this my Wednesday night spot.

Have come here to get sod occasionally over the years bot professionally and personally. The price…read morefor each piece of sod is $1.00. My place of employment used them because they had the best prices and best quality sod. I also priced at Home Depot and they wanted something like $2.00/piece for some brown wilted junk. My little car only holds a few pieces so I park at the sod pallet and run inside. The guys inside are nice and funny and they accept credit cards. They'll give you a receipt. Just stand outside with receipt in view and there is a super nice Spanish guy with an arm--sleeve who will help you out. The stuff can get pretty dirty so you can ask for a sheet of plastic/visqueen to put down in your trunk. The hours are really good - open 7-days per week and closing at 4:00pm on Sunday.

He pointed us to a young Hispanic woman who appeared to be overworked, but who ended up being very pleasant and knowledgeable. We told her what we were looking for in regards to types of plants and she quickly narrowed down our thoughts to three or four different options. We then went to look at the plants. They all appeared to be healthy and well cared for. The pricing was extremely Competitive. The same young lady did come over to help us load, she's absolutely amazing! We went back a week or so later for additional plants, we were happy with the quality and the pricing for sure. This time the owner was a little more talkative. We will go back again in the future, just don't let the owner make you feel like you don't need to spend your money there.
