We came near closing time, and the person working was rather rude to us. The nursery is huge, so we asked her how it is laid out (of course it was hard to even find anybody to talk to, as there seemed to only be one lady working the whole place). We wanted to get our bearings to make the most of our little time. Especially since the nursery is very far from our house, and we are not usually in the area. She made a point to coarsely let us know that they were about to close. I have worked in retail and understand how annoying it can be when people come right before close. It just was really jarring the way she told us, especially assuming we couldn't look through the place in the time we had. We might have seen such fabulous things that we would have wanted to make a special trip to go out of way to return. For that I would give a one star in customer service, although she did begrudgingly tell us the layout after shocking us.
For plant variety I give this 5 stars. This place is huge and has a lot of rare plants. However, it is mostly focused on only certain kinds of plants such as bromelaids. I personally wasn't into the types of plants they had. However, if you were a huge bromelaid fan, it would be paradise.
The prohibitive price tag on a lot of the items however made the items unreasonable for us. If you are rich, come on out.
All that to say, this is the sort of place that I hope stays in business because it is a treasure.
And just for the record, rude lady, we were out of there before closing time and before your other customers were gone!!! Bad move to make a terrible first impression of your company. I will try to remember some of the positives even if they didn't come from you. read more
