I decided to eat at Charley's Cheesesteaks for lunch today. There are so many choices here in the food court I didn't know what to go with and Charlie's since it looked like a great option. I've been to some of the other locations and my hometown. So is very familiar with the menu. This time around I got the Philly cheesesteak without onions and without mayo. Usually I get the chicken Philly because they usually run a promotion with it that comes with fries and a small chicken Philly. The fries are usually really good and I'm a huge fan of the seasoned salt and the seasoning they have available for people to use. Everything is made to order here. and I'm a huge fan of them serving Coca-Cola beverages. I placed my order and a few minutes later my food is ready to go and this time I got the. And I was shocked at how big it was. The veggies looked very fresh and vibrant. And my food tasted great. They've also made it really easy to order via their app so make sure to do that if you're wanting things ready by the time you get there. I did come during a slow time in the late afternoon on a random Thursday but after I ordered there was a huge line of folks that showed up and ordered lot of food so that was good. read more

GETTING HERE: Charley's has survived! I am so thankful. This is one of my old stand-by places to eat when I am at the Pacific View Mall. It's located upstairs next to the (empty) location where McDonald's used to be. REVIEW: Pretty good for Mall food, in my opinion and experience. I haven't had any bad experiences, thankfully. It's pretty basic and not much to review. My orders have been served hot because they literally cook it to order and I prefer their sandwiches over the fries. I have read a few Yelp reviews about their lemonade so when I am at the Mall again I will give that a try. My sandwiches were OK on my last 2 visits and I would order that sandwich again. Sadly, there aren't many food places left in the upstairs Food Court. If you're short on time and want quick service I would recommend Charley's. read more

We were there when they first opened for the day, thinking that might be a good thing.. fresh cheese steak sounded good. Ordered a cheese steak and a bag of chips. After the order went to the cook, he told the person at the register that they don't have any bags of chips because the ones they did have expired last week. They did give me the option of fries, so I accepted. Took a few minutes to get the grill warmed up, understandable. After a little while, we (myself and another unrelated customer) were called up to the counter. What happened was that the pilot light on their frier went out before the fries were done cooking. They offered us to taste the partially cooked fries to see if they were to our liking. They really weren't, but they were hot and fully cooked. Just not crisp or browned. 3 stars for the cheese steak and the friendly people who work there. Might have been higher if they had what I ordered and/or the alternative to what I ordered was prepared properly. read more

I have ordered many times and always get a lot of customizations to my order and they have always gotten it right which is so awesome! I literally made a phone order and when I arrived to the mall and called them to make sure my sandwich was ready the manger told his employee not to make my sub until I arrived. When I literally told the guy on the phone that o was in a rush and needed it ready once I got there. No drove all the way there and it wasn't ready so I left. My mom and I were shopping. We got hungry and we decide to order from here today at 4:00 pm. My mom got the French fries & small chicken Philly and I got the small cheese steaks without mushrooms & a regular lemonade. We ate our food at the table for here. It was hot and declicious! I'm so very disappointed. First time trying Charlie's and it was disgusting. All the food was cold, it wasn't even lukewarm. The meat was dried out and the lettuce was wilted and brown. The chicken strips were also cold and rubbery and tasted old. Even the sodas were watered down. The food isn't inexpensive either. I can't imagine trying it again, nothing was worth a second chance. I'll go back to Great Central Steak & Hoagie on Thompson and I'm definitely sorry I wasted my time. P.S. I'm hoping the Oreos aren't stale. read more

Not the same! Sandwich meats had weird odors . The guy that works there making sandwiches and also cashier is rude! Where is the customer service? Feel so bad writing a 1 star review but this place needs to shape up. It's already slow and slow for a reason. FYI- they don't tell you about Refills 50 cents! Refills on large $1. My neighbors son went up for a refill with a $1 bill and he goes it's $1.08 and so we told him give what refill you can because he didn't need for it to be topped off anyway and he was so rude. read more

The only thing I was full of was disappointment. The sandwich was sad and pathetic. For the price, Charley's could at least add enough chicken to cover the bottom area of the bread. The quality was nothing to brag about either; it was very mediocre. I was so upset, I (regrettably) turned into a Karen and complained to the manager, which is not normal for me. The poor manager, understandably, can't control the portion size. He did what he could and offered to add extra meat to the sandwich at no cost, but I was too upset to accept the offer. This was my first (and last) time at Charley's. I guess I had higher expectations and this experience was a big letdown. read more

Very shady place be aware of there tipping system, you hit no tip because you added tip to tip jar and you will still be charged 20%. I tried calling and was told to call back later because they were to busy. Owner is a very rude person and won't fix anything, didn't even want money back just wanted to find out what went wrong, total deflection from the start. I love coming here when I go to the mall. The food is always really good and not very greasy. They sell all types of Phillies but I love the chicken one personally. I wouldn't recommend the strawberrh lemonade tho it's like a strawberry syrup that they pour in the bottom of the cup and then fill with the regular lemonade. The cheese fries are always a must! The steak sandwiches are a great choice in this mall location. The chicken is also a good choice if you don't like to eat cow. They also toast the bread on the same grill used to cook the meat! The natural cut fries are great with your sandwich, especially if you get it in a gourmet style. I like mine with cheese and bacon. However, both the sandwiches and gourmet fries can get a little messy, so ask for a fork and knife and extra napkins with your food. The drinks are typical Coca-cola fare, but you can order lemonade here too. At least this restaurant stands out in the mall's food court. read more

The bread was soft and chewy, the chicken lean and hot and the grilled onions and peppers were tasty. Just beware their worker sharon is terrible when it comes to customer service, she is exceptionally rude. Never get the peach lemonade when shes around because she thinks the PEACH lemonade is just regualr lemonade with 5 pieces tiny pieces of peach. one of my favorite food places to eat at the pac view mall food court. the bread is always freshly toasted, the meat is cooked to perfection with the cheese melted on top, and it's always made to order. the texture of the meat & cheese, lettuce and tomato, and toasted bread is the perfect combination in my opinion. the fries always come out piping hot, right out of the fryers and are crispy and lightly salted. one regular combo can easily feed you and a friend. truly one of the best eats in the food court! read more

I ordered a blueberry drink that tasted nothing but flavoring a tempting to hide a Nast old flavor with a cup of sugar. The sub I had was chicken buffalo which at best was mediocre. I asked to get it switched out and they wouldn't even do that. When it's there Nasty drink all I asked for was for a soda which was cheaper I was asking for it to get evened out just a simple switch so I would have that atrocious tasting liquid .not to mention the size of mine and my boy friend were the same when one was suppose to be bigger not even worth the money. Good food, but I've never been more appalled by customer service in my life! I ordered a Chicken Philly, but when I received my food it was a Philly Cheesesteak. I nicely mentioned that I had ordered a Chicken Philly instead. The lady rudely asked if I had checked the review screen before paying which, I've learned my lesson now, I never do. Then, she calls over the other lady who took my order to prove me wrong, asking her 'she ordered a Philly Cheesesteak, right?' To which she answered yes. I never eat steak, so I'm not convinced that I had accidentally ordered the steak sandwich. However, being only human, I understand maybe I slipped and ordered the wrong thing. But, instead of trying to help fix this issue, I was rudely blamed and ganged up on by the workers.
