I had such an amazing experience at Charleys Philly Steaks in Camarillo! I especially want to recognize Sughey, who made our sandwiches absolutely perfect. I honestly have never had a Philly cheesesteak this delicious before! You can truly tell when someone takes pride in their work and puts genuine care into what they do. People like Sughey, who are this kind, hardworking, and dedicated, are very rare and truly deserve to be appreciated. Thank you, Sughey, for making our sandwiches so perfect and for giving us such a wonderful experience. You definitely made our visit special! read more

My family came here to fuel up before the recent 4th of July festivities at the Camarillo Outlets! I would have been content with a regular Philly cheesesteak but they offered a new "Korean " style cheesesteak which had Kimchi and Gochujung sauce! My wife and I love Korean cuisine and had to try this fusion! And absolutely loved every bite! It's an inspired idea and a good one! Spicy in all the ways one would expect from Korean spiced meat ! Good dinner for our family of 4. As far as value it's on par with Chipotle and even Chick-Fil-a in terms of spend for a family of 4 with an exotic twist. Also, the order taker this time wasn't too bad. read more

Just walked away from this place. Young heavy set latino (cashier) was to busy texting that he didn't even notice us standing there for a while. We walked away without buying anything. Never again! Horrible experience horrible customer service. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite, and we had a coupon. Service was good, was offered a free sample bite of one of their sandwiches. Wasn't too impressed, so I ordered a different one. I ordered the Italian Deluxe, which wasn't bad.. Nothing great, but I wouldn't complain about it. It did taste fresh, which was appreciated, including all the toppings. We also ordered the jalapeno pepper fries... These were good.. Not really spicy, but it did have chopped jalapenos on them which gave it good flavors. Overall, just a fast food mall spot that I wouldn't race back to - but I wouldn't shy away from it if I were in the area again. read more

Oh wow! I usually don't write bad reviews on businesses but this is by far the worst Philly sandwich I ever ate. The meat quality so so bad. On top of that my stomach was hurting me the whole night. Oh let's not even mention the saucy fries yuck! The oil was so bitter (probably hasn't been changed in a minute) overall! I wouldn't even recommend this place to anyone. read more

Okay, so " Covid is what it is " my kids talked me into Grubhub/door dash/ whatever the delivery thing i agreed to try. I've always enjoyed Charley's so I'm not sure if the cold food or incomplete order I received was driver error or establishment error. Nevertheless, I won't use the delivery service again for a quick "no contact " delivery read more

Thank you to Daisy. She took our order patiently waiting because we didn't know what we wanted yet. And asked if wanted green bell peppers and jalapenos in our sandwich which was quite tasty altogether. The philly cheesesteak came out good because she didn't rush it and added our extra mayo. And we are cheesesteak connoisseurs. We ate every bite . We even came back after we ate it all to thank her and let her know that she made it good and we really enjoyed it. Today was good. They just gotta keep the philly cheesesteaks consistent. I like the rewards program when you download the app. They have good deals on there like $5 or $3 off your order, and free fries and more. Keep up the good vibes and good work. read more

This Philly style cheesesteak chain is tucked inside the Food Hall at the Camarillo Premium Outlets. It's important to note that they offer Philly style items. As someone who lived in Philadelphia, I want to respect the integrity of the food and those who know what a cheesesteak really is. Nonetheless, this is an nice option in Camarillo. They offer a number of sandwiches. My husband likes the classic cheesesteak. I like the Italian deluxe. We always get one as a regular combo. They offer small, regular and large. With the regular combo we get a medium fountain drink and medium fries for $2.00 extra. The fries are steak fries. They offer several real fruit lemonades. I have not had them but I have heard good things. The medium size sandwiches are $5.99 and large are $7.99. Any add on combo is $2.00 more. It's a decent deal. Keep in mind this is not meant to be gourmet food. It's simple fast food sandwiches. The servers are pleasant enough and do not try to up-sell anything. You can get a little slice of Philadelphia for a few dollars in the hall. There are about 40 tables inside. And a handful outside. The hours are compliant with the hours of the outlet shops. read more

Wow. What a cluster fck. I've order via DoorDash and Grubhub with no problems. Ordered today via their own app. Supposedly to a large chicken with extra Wiz. Come home, it's a steak with barely any Wiz. Over $15 from the wrong item isn't going to cut it. read more

Amazing cheese fries! Good service! I always order ahead and they have my order without any issues:)

Missing something. Oh yeah, flavor. The Philly Deluxe with steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese will set you back $7.99 for a large (ft long) then another $2.99 for drink and fries combo. The sub is piled high and enough for two to split but not not worth it for the lack of excitement. Pour some secret sauce on the grill and cover to keep concoction sealed then add the bread. That would help. This sub has sunk. read more

Love me some real cheesesteak. I am afraid that the smaller rolls and the paltry amount of meat reminds me how expensive things have become and I got a little depressed for them. Beef is expensive - So, If I come here again, I will order with double meat and ignore the prices - so I can make sure the meat to bun to cheese ratio is done right. Eating should be a joyous occasion, not one that makes you stress about the economy. read more

My local Charleys closed, so I was happy to see that there was a location in Camarillo. The first time I went at lunchtime, I waited for a while before the staff came out from the back room area and took my order. No explanation; no apology. They were out of pickles, and my cheesesteak missed it! I went again recently, and this time they had pickles, so my cheesesteak was tasty. The problem, however, lies with the staff. They are obviously miserable people. The woman used the same gloves she had on for handling food on the register. And she was just sour. I ran to a store while my food was prepared, and when I returned, there was a guy on his phone. My food was on the counter and I asked that it be put in a to-go container. He looked up from his phone -- clearly bothered -- put my food in a box, and walked away, back to his phone. I don't expect a red carpet, but I also don't expect to be treated rudely. I have options when it comes to where I spend my money, and it won't be at Charleys at the outlet. read more

I always stop by when I'm at the Camarillo outlets. Years ago, Charleys had a "cordon bleu" on the menu - nothing but turkey, ham & Swiss, but they don't have it on the menu anymore. When it's not busy, I ask for one & always have to explain it. Sometimes, it's like I'm not speaking any language they have ever heard. "OK, give me a turkey & cheddar, but replace 1 slice of turkey w/ 1 slice of ham & instead of cheaddar, use Swiss" - this is usually what works & they look very proud of themselves when they get it right. Which is sort of sweet. I'm always frustrated that they make the sandwich & then the fries, so that while the fries are flesh-searingly hot, the sandwich gets sort of lukewarm, sometimes worse. I do love that they have malt vinegar for your fries. But, the staff is usually very patient, which can turn around to "the staff has no concept of urgency", depending on my mood. It's in a food court, so the cleanliness of the eating area & availability of space is variable. read more

1:45pm 3/5/21. I watched one worker, Suhey (unsure how to spell her name but I did ask for it). Juggle 3 people's orders by herself from the time on the register. I was feeling some "gourmet fries" and ordered the chili cheese fries. They are thick steak fries which naturally reduces the crunchiness of the fries. They need a tad more salt. Well. Tried my second attempt of getting a good Philly Cheesesteak after the failed attempt at Juicy's. I saw Charleys who's always trusted menu every where. Boy was I wrong. You cannot miss the flavor of a franchise taste more than this location. Another victim of pandemic ingredients pull back? Even a little bit of salt would have help. Oh well. Bland $12/sandwich. Atleast my dog liked it. read more

I came here on my lunch break yesterday to check out the food court and try something other than Wetzel's Pretzels or DQ. Baaaaad mistake :( (except the hot guys that were ordering in food in front of me haha). They had a nice deal going on where any of their small chicken sub + a cup of french fries is $4.99 so I ordered the California chicken and a small drink for a total of ~$7. I wish I could add more toppings to the subby but they only offer lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, jalepenos and condiments. It has no wide variety as Subway or anything but those are just really basic options. The subby was good but I was disappointed with the fries. I think there was MSG in it because my stomach was umcomfy after I went back to work. Maybe because I don't eat french fries often but I definitely regret eating them lol I think I'm at that point in life where I can't eat French fries anymore like I did as a kid :( haha. Overall, the meal is a bit pricey for what I got but if you work at the outlets, you get a "mall discount" on your purchase (which I should have asked but now you know lol). read more

Came to the Camarillo Premium Outlets to find a present for my father and we didn't realize it was running so late (and explained why we were do hungry). My sister suggested going here of all the establishments at the food court since she enjoys it. Apparently this company is known for its Philly Cheese steaks, but I've been to Philly and had real ones and wouldn't order them anywhere else really. Our order: Bacon 3 Cheese Steak: Steak, Bacon, and Provolone, Swiss, & White American cheeses Bacon Swiss Steakhouse Crunch: Steakhouse Sauce with Crispy Onions, Steak, Bacon and melted Swiss Cheese Ultimate Gourmet Fries: Cheddar, Ranch and Bacon Regular Seasoned Fries Strawberry Lemonade Didn't like the bread that they used for the sandwiches. They were super soft and got soggy quickly with the hot meats inside making everything fall apart. My order was the Bacon Swiss Steakhouse Crunch. There wasn't that much meat in it and was mostly stuffed with the veggies to make it look bigger. Boo.. =/ I'm not a fan of ranch so I didn't like the Ultimate Gourmet Fries. I did really enjoy the Seasoned Fries though. They were crispy and super addicting! The Strawberry Lemonade was sweet and very refreshing. Was tempted to order my own but my sister was nice enough to just share her drink with me. read more

Standing in line today and watched the server pour an iced tea for a customer. When she asked for extra ice he dumped some in but it was too much. He then stuck his bare handed fingers into the ice tea up to his 2nd knuckles to scoop the excess ice out of the customers drink!!!!!! He then tried to serve it to her! I walked away at that point. The staff forgot to cook my food. They were just chatting for 10 minutes after taking my money. what the??!!

Just wanted to order a coffee so I lined-up to order it since it had a shortest line comparing to other establishments in the food court. When my turn came up to order, the cashier pointing at another store as soon as I requested for the coffee, and he did not offer any explanation as to why I had to go to another establishment. Anyways, I left their counter since I did not have any time to spare; however, NOW I KNOW WHY THEY HAD THE SHORTEST LINE! Did not expect much to begin with, but it is a bit shocking to receive absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

After having a sample of their Philly cheese steak, I just had to buy one! Sadly the product I got upon purchase was of no comparison to the sample and I saw the same for other subs after mine. C'mon people. It's inside the Camarillo outlet, so it means you should lower your food expectations. And quite honestly, yes, the food here does suck, but this place is the place you should go to for food if you're tired from shopping for a couple hours straight and the last thing you want to do is drive some more to find food. Before coming across this place, I used to buy food from elsewhere and bring it here to eat, which goes to show how lowly I look upon the food selection here. But after trying a generous sample of their Philly Chicken (whenever I've come here, I always saw someone standing outside their stall handing out samples), I decided to eat here instead. Since then, I've always ordered the Philly Chicken here to stick with something light. And being that its meant to be light, it has chicken, grilled onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and provolone, which I think is a decent combination of "trying" to be healthy and "trying" to have decent taste. Steak and Fries...Not a bad order, but it was a bit pricey for $6. The fries were pretty good though and you could tell the oil they used was pretty fresh. While this place may not meet the standards of our fellow Yelpers, just keep in mind that it's the Camarillo outlet. Just give this place a chance if you're too lazy like me to bring lunch/go elsewhere. read more

I had not eaten at a Charley's before despite having one where I work. The sandwiches we had were good -- better, in fact, than the Subway next door. I have certainly had better Philly Cheesesteak but htat was in Philly. But Charlie's version was certainly edible and tasty. The fries were "da bomb'. Hot, crispy, crunch, soft in the middle, flavorful, and plenty of them. Next time that's all I'll have! read more

This is in the Camarillo outlets' food court. They have an awful lot of items that are either Philly cheesesteaks or related variants -- even a Philly veggie, which I'm not sure I've seen before. They also offer a few salads. It seems like they're trying to make the healthy Philly, and yet unlike other sandwich places, they want to combo things with fries. They even have a second combo with some even less healthy fries, and neither looks good-tasting so I refrained. I had the Philly chicken. I liked how healthy they tried to make it, but the execution and planning were poor on the taste issue. The meat was well-cooked, but the rest was pretty blah. The bread was crispy enough, but seemed too much like it was made by an ordinary person to be found in a sandwich shop. The internal toppings like the lettuce seemed like something you'd find in a cafeteria. That's right -- they wanted to put lettuce in a Philly chicken. They offered lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo, and I foolishly let them put in the lettuce and tomatoes. They said it like it's their standard for any sandwich, even though that's more of a Subway-type sandwich whereas they're making melted steak sandwiches. They have regular and large sizes -- the regular for me was a little small but I could see it working for someone else. This place isn't completely ruled out, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to work for any cheesesteak or related cravings. read more
