Ive been hoping and wishing for a Philly cheesesteak spot and lo and behold, cheesesteak republic popped up on my IG feed! I ordered a lil Phil (6" sandwich) and added bell peppers + white American cheese. The roll was really soft, the diced onions were caramelized, the steak was thinly sliced and seasoned well, and the cheese was meltyyyy. The peppers added some dimension and next time I would also add banana peppers! Also got a boat of hot salty crispy fries - I made it through 1/3rd of it! And finished it off with a thin crispy choc chip cookie. I was stuffed and got really close to finishing the lil Phil. Will definitely be back when I'm craving some salty goodness or need a hangover cure. Service was great, the two people working were very enthusiastic. Pickup window is located in the VFW building on market street, parking available! There are a few tables in the parking lot with umbrellas.

After having this Philly Cheesesteak twice I just that it was ok. Fries were ok. Staff was fast and friendly and there is plenty of parking.

Cancel your flight to Philly! Just get over here and enjoy a cheese steak sandwich!! Cooked to order and set on a delicious roll!! Compliment with a side of fries. Today I opted for the delicious garlic fries! Kitchen team is friendly and awesome! Make this your next lunch treat!

Really good cheesesteak! The correct bread makes a huge impact.Excellent French Fries and Plenty of parking and four covered tables outside. The service was quick and friendly, and we enjoyed free cookies on Friday. I had the Philly cheese with American and mushroom, awesome, fries are large enough to share. Will have to go back ASAP! I f you like some spice try the Ventura Peppers I

I have personally flown to Philly to try Tony Luke's, Pat, and Geno's. I can tell you that after trying Cheesesteak Republic I want a refund on my flight and all meals for that trip. This place has got Philly beat with it's own game!!! We are talking lots of flavorful meat, perfectly grilled onions, and delightful whiz. Not a whiz fan? Want something a little less traditional? No problem! You can choose Provolone or White American! Perfect flavors and ratios. The buns hold all the meat, liquids, and goodness until the last bite without falling apart into a soggy mess. But if you want more goodness, ask to pile on chilies, peppers, or mushrooms! Size matters and the cheesesteak comes in three sizes. Saving room for the fries? Get the 6". Hungry? get the 15 oz 11.5" Or get the middle of the road 8" for all purpose eats. Speaking of fries. . . these are perfectly fried fries. Glorious toppings. It does not get better than bacon and cheese. Somehow, they have miraculously perfected the fries to the point where even fully ladened, they do not get soggy. Grab a fork because you are going to want to scrape up every last bit of that deliciousness!!! Speaking of deliciousness, what is that side of "Wikkid" sauce? Only the best habanero honey mustard sauce you will ever have, perfect for punching up the spice on that cheesy bacon-y fried goodness. Speaking of goodness. . . if you are fan of Texas toast. . . you might want to try the cheesesteak as "the kickflip". I was ready to commit certifiable murder before lunch and I can tell you that this cheesesteak was so delicious and satisfying it was basically like living the Betty White Snickers commercial. Do yourself a favor. Hungry? Grab a cheesesteak. You won't regret it!!! (Available workdays and Saturdays for lunch, but soon to have extended hours on the weekend starting this one!!!)

I was super excited to try this place after first seeing a post from the owner on Reddit asking for input from folks prior to their opening. I also love a good cheesesteak (how could you not?!). I ordered the OG Ventura style with white American and mushrooms. The meat and roll were great. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find out that Ventura style apparently just means cold peppers included in a tiny condiment size cup on the side, and the extra mushrooms equated to maybe two in the whole sandwich. Perhaps this experience was because I ordered through Doordash. However, given the already relatively high prices, I was not too happy to have paid extra for items that seemed like they should have been included or, at the very least, not $1 a piece.

Amazing cheesesteaks. I am from Philly area, and I am so happy they use Amoroso rolls. I haven't had any of these in 10-15 years and they are still amazing. The meat is so tasty, and I also got bacon cheese fries and the smash lemonade. 10/10 and will be back soon! Edit: I had to go back a few days later and try the brisket/cheddar and it was bomb!!!!! You need to try this when you come here!!!

Just tried this place for the 1st time today & loved it! They even gave us free chocolate chip cookies which were delicious. Loved the Wikkid sauce on the cheesesteak. It's a little spicy but great flavor. Cheesy bacon fries for the win!

I had the Italian Sub and it was as good as any I've had elsewhere. There was no waiting to be served, although I did arrive well past the lunch business. I was able to upgrade the sandwich into a "meal" with a soft drink and bag of chips, for a total cost of $10.99! None of the chain sandwich shops could have matched that price for the sandwich alone. It's a simple place with great sandwiches and excellent prices. If that's good enough for you, by all means visit.

I had actually bookmarked Mastro's years ago and forgot all about it. This is a very no frills space located right on the corner - no inside seating but a couple round tables outside. Plenty of available street parking. There only appeared to be one woman working - she was a bit slow to greet me initially but had her back turned and I think may not have noticed I was there. She was happy to answer my questions and accommodating when making my sandwich. I opted for the italian sub but didn't want something very bread heavy so got the rye bread instead. While the rye bread was tasty, it was just Orowheat, which was disappointing to see all the breads were just sandwich bread you'd get in the store rather than home made or made by someone local. The sandwich itself had cheddar, provolone, bologna, salami, and capitola ham - all of which was very fresh. However, the amount of meat/cheese felt a bit minimal, especially when looking back at previous photos. For the very reasonable price though, l understand why maybe they cut down the amount of meat/cheese vs raise prices. Maybe add an option for double meat/cheese for an extra fee? It comes traditionally with mayo, mustard, italian dressing, lettuce, tomato, onion, peppercini but I just got lettuce, mayo, and italian dressing. Avocado was an optional add on for a reasonable $1 but because I had avocado at home I just added it at home. The sandwich itself was very tasty and enjoyable - I wish though instead of mayo and italian dressing they had used olive oil, vinegar, and oregano, which is more traditional and healthier. They also had potato salad and macaroni salad for only $2 - I got half and half and while they were both fine, nothing necessarily stood out about them. It was a nice little add on if you don't want chips. Speaking of chips, they had a very large selection of chips and bottle drinks. This wouldn't necessarily be my first stop if I am feeling very hungry, given that the sandwich felt pretty small (although I imagine on the sub roll it wouldve been a lot more filling). However, I will definitely be back if I am craving an inexpensive deli sandwich - it is hard to find lunch anywhere for under $10 and I appreciate that they keep the prices affordable. Seeing as they have been around for what appears to be 10+ years, I imagine they know their demographic and cater to that.

Because of my limited lifestyle I found the menu a bit limiting. However, I am not a HUGE cheese person and I don't drink. I've been coming to this spot for years to grab a quick meal as it's convenient and unique. It's easy to miss but worth it as they have nice people working here and the paninis are my ultimate favorite. Nice that they have their own small private parking lot, Fits about 4 cars I believe but also plenty of street parking. When you walk inside you'll see that it's a small shop but not overly clutter with items, it's spacious and clean. Off to the left there are plenty of sodas, snacks, beers, and regular connivence store items. To the right is a register and the booze behind where you pay. When you walk right in you'll see a large whiteboard menu with the daily food specials and regularly priced items for breakfast and lunch. When your ready to place your food just walk closer up to the counter and they'll ask what you want. You wait for them to prep your order and they'll call it out when ready. Grab your food and pay at the main register it's easy peasy. I keep coming back for their pesto Turkey panini. It's hard to find a good panini on this side of town but this unassuming little market has some of the best ones hands down. Also reasonable prices and the sandwich is stacked with deli meat. A great value for the price. I've also tried their tacos and tamales, they are average, and good but I'd highly always recommend the sandwiches above all else. As I mentioned earlier service is really good and both the gals cooking up the food and the different people working behind the register have always been super nice and approachable. Feel good local vibes, and I'm sure you've passed by this spot plenty a times but make sure you check them out because they are the perfect spot for that on the go lunch or to grab some quick snacks and drinks.
