I've always been wanting to try this place! Whenever I walk by, it always smells so good. This place is literally a small hole in the wall owned and operated by an old Asian couple. They told me they have been running this place for 40 years, so it's definitely a strong community staple! You can tell that they use fresh quality ingredients. I saw them prepping fresh ingredients as I picked up my food. I called in my order and was quoted about a 25 minute wait for a meatball sub and a small pizza. The price of the food is fair. The meatball sub had a lot of huge meatballs and a fair amount of cheese. I loved it and this definitely exceeded my expectations. In my opinion, the pizza was alright; nothing exciting. I came here mainly for the meatball sub anyways so I was pretty satisfied with my meal. read more

This is delicious, no frills, take out pizza. Window service only, no fancy ingredients, e.g. no pineapple, no fresh basil, just normal old fashioned pizza (pepperoni, mushroom, olives, sausage,etc) Delicious meatball sandwiches. This is NOT a restaurant, take out only and no delivery. There are a couple of tables out side and a great brewery next door. Beer and Pizza, a classic combo and Red Tandem will welcome you and your pizza. This is a go-to for the neighborhood and I know people in Ventura that drive across town to get it. 5 stars because they do one thing right. read more

First impression? Kinda turned off by the window only option! I don't understand why they don't do away with that and start letting customers in to order and maybe even use the tables inside? Great location over at the Shores strip mall... plenty of parking, and red tandem brewery is right next-door-and don't mind their customers bringing pizza in to enjoy with their beers! Love the pizza! Fresh ingredients and their crust is perfect! Definitely not a fan of the sauce. Too "tomatoey" no seasonings? Tastes a little too much like sauce from a can? Owners are lovely people pizza is expensive but very good. Sandwiches are terrible. Rolls are tasteless and onions are chopped not sliced so they just fall out of sandwich. Tomato slices are cut in half and hardly cover the sandwich read more

The Pizza Company has been my go to pizza place for many years. I live right around the corner near the beach. Run by a hard working Asian American family who knows what they are doing. Fresh ingredients and hand tossed dough results in a fresh tasting pizza. Ice cold salads are great too. Once in awhile I get the meatball sandwiches which are equally awesome. Be patient as it takes alittle time to create your dinner when it's made to order by hand. Don't expect a happy smiling greeting if the Dad is working the register. He's a man of few words but he's a hard working guy working well into his retirement years! read more

Pizza sounds like a basic dish, you get some dough, you throw some sauce and ingredients...abracadabra, it's a meal. Not so true. However, The Pizza Co. gets it right with their pizza pies! The ingredients taste fresh and are kept simple. You don't get all the variety of a Toppers, but with variety comes inconsistency. The Pizza Co perfects the basics. I recently ordered their Combination Pizza, which includes pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, black olives, onions, and bell peppers. I had them hold the onions and bell peppers. I felt they made up for the 2 ingredients I removed with adding generous portions of the ingredients I selected to keep in the pie. I mean, you literally could only see the crust! The next day I reheated the leftover pizza in a fry pan with the lid covered. It tasted as fresh as the day it was made! The other thing I enjoy about this place is that you can still buy slices. Reminds me of a local NY style pizza spot. If you find yourself at Red Tandem, next door, the beer pairs well with a slice or full pie from the Pizza Co. The management is out of this world!! The employees are extremely hard workers. The rolls are mouthwatering and the pizza is good. The manicotti shells superb. Pizza was pretty good. Just got pepperoni. Large. Asked if they had cheese bread with marinara and they said they do t have anything like that. Found out they have garlic bread later but too late to order. Also I didn't know they had a larger size option, extra-large. Would have ordered that. It had plenty of sauce and cheese. I think I like it better than toppers pizza and it is a little less expensive. Mostly take out though because they only have a set up for takeout but there a couple of small tables but it only works for a small group. Overall good pizza. I'll order it again. read more

This place is a gem in Oxnard. They aren't scared to actually add ingredients to your pizza pie and it's reasonably priced. We just ordered and their Philly cheesesteak is the best in town!!! Hands down. Their combo pizza is leagues ahead of toppers, they also include a bag of chips with your sandwich order which is just great. read more

It's a local spot that's overrated by the locals. Pricy. Long wait. No personality family doing the prep, baking, and serving at the take-out table blocking the entrance. The first thing I noticed, none of the three workers was wearing gloves, bare hands on everything. Wow this pizza place is insane! We wanted to hang out nearby the beach, and this pizza made the day! I got the supreme pizza and they piled on all the toppings that even as some fell off their was still a tower of toppings left on. A mountain of olives, peppers, sausage, onions, and cheese made for a different pizza than all the others! They are cash only but they are worth the price and the time since it's a small family owned restaurant! read more

Not only did it take a long time for anyone to even take our order, but they also forgot our waters. It took about 20 minutes before we received anything. We ordered drinks and two appetizers. One appetizer arrived after about 20 minutes, but our drinks didn't arrive until approximately 25 minutes after we ordered. While we waited, we observed several waiters standing around talking instead of helping customers. We also watched two other tables ask multiple times for their checks before finally receiving them. The staff didn't appear busy or overwhelmed, which made the delays even more frustrating. To make matters worse, several tables that were seated after us received their food before we did. After waiting a total of 40 minutes without receiving our second appetizer or even being offered drink refills, we had enough. We asked the busser for our check and requested to cancel the remaining appetizer because we were extremely frustrated at that point. Instead of a manager or supervisor coming to speak with us, the busser returned to tell us that we couldn't cancel the appetizer because it had already been prepared. We paid, took the meatballs to go, and left disappointed. Only then did our server come over and say, "Sorry, we got stacked up." No manager or person in charge ever came to apologize or address the situation. The person who appeared to be the manager simply dropped off our boxed food and walked away without saying a word. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I've dined here multiple times before and have always enjoyed both the food and the service, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, I will no longer support this business and will make sure to warn my family, friends, and colleagues to save their money and support businesses that value their customers and hire competent, attentive staff.

The restaurant is large, beautifully decorated with traditional and modern Indian music videos playing on hanging TVs and well cared for. The staff is always friendly, inviting, courteous and helpful. They keep their eyes moving to watch and see who needs anything, but also allow privacy and a no need to rush your meal feeling. The food presentation is lovely and I always feel like they are proud and enthusiastic to help guide me through dishes I'm not so familiar with. This area of the harbor is pretty quiet, serves a lot of people who live close by and walk, so the parking lot is large, mostly empty and free. Go. Enjoy. I've been coming here since I was 9 years old in 1980, and not much has changed, except they used to have arcade games like Star Castle when I was a kid. I consider their pizza the best pizza I have ever had. They don't skimp on the toppings, and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. I've tried their hot sandwiches, and their steak, onion and cheese sandwich with bell peppers and mushrooms was the best sandwich I have eaten in my while life. It takes a while for them to make it versus other places that assemble the sandwich and just put it in a toaster for 25 seconds. Pizza Company does it in an oven, and the veggies are fully cooked, cheese melted, and bun is toasted, and it's all done perfectly for the best eating experience. read more
