We stopped by to grab a quick bite but it was pretty busy. The good thing is that there is plenty of seating and service was quick as well. I had their delicious cheesy bread and their wings. Let me just say--this isn't New York style, it's not Detroit style--this is Toppers style. The crust is thin, crispy, and almost cracker-like, with a satisfying crunch in every bite. What stood out is how generous they are with toppings, especially if you go for one of their specialty pizzas. The Sweet Heat came loaded with pineapple, jalapeños, BBQ chicken, Canadian bacon, and bacon bits. I'm pretty sure the sauce was garlic-based with a drizzle of BBQ sauce on top. And you know what? The flavors actually worked. Sweet, spicy, smoky--everything balanced surprisingly well. I can see why this place is a staple for families and big groups around Ventura and Oxnard. Hi, I wanted to share my experience with you! I went to Toppers on Saviers Road in Oxnard on April 1st for dinner with my husband. We got caught up in conversation, and when we left, I completely forgot my purse in the booth. When we got home, I realized it was missing and panicked! I called Toppers, and they connected me with the manager (I think their name was Cesilio They gave me the best news--one of their drivers found my purse while cleaning and saved it for me! I'm so grateful because I had a large amount of money inside, and thanks to their honesty, everything was still there. I wanted to personally thank the driver, but he had already left to make a delivery by the time I arrived. I would love to know his name so I can properly thank and reward him for his honesty. If you're ever in Ventura County and craving pizza, although Toppers now has a location in Santa Clarita, Toppers pizza won't disappoint. As I grew up eating Toppers pizza in Ventura County and I still love it today. Toppers continues to serve quality pizza and is worth the few extra dollars, in comparison to other pizza places. I ordered two large pizzas (listed below) and paid about $50. I called in my order and it was ready in 15-20 minutes for pick-up outside the restaurant. I didn't even have to get out of my car and staff was wearing masks for COVID prevention. My parents love the Creamy Garlic Chicken Pizza: Creamy garlic sauce topped w/chicken, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, red onions & grated parmesan. Chopped or roasted garlic added, upon request. I heard so much about this place. They were all stories. SMH, much as I wanted to like this place. I just couldn't. Best part of the menu was the salad bar. BTW you can only visit it once. Food is always great but today the customer service was NOT GOOD at the saviers Toppers pizza. I was greeted by a very negative lady at the salad bar. I was able to talk to store manager at the time her name is Itzel and share what had happened. I did mentioned that staff needs more training in customer service to be able to welcome customers with questions when they are in the restaurant! We usually order the Quick Lunch where you get a personal pizza and side salad for ~$6. The personal pizza comes with any 2 toppings of your choice (pepperoni and pineapples are my favorite) as well as any type of sauce (creamy garlic sauce mmm). The side salad is made at the salad bar with whatever healthy greens, beans and things you want along with any salad dressing. Moving onto everything else. I've had just about everything on the menu. I almost didn't want to give them 5 stars. I'll tell you all why. But I will also tell you why they DID get 5. Their pizza is like no other you've had. I can guarantee you that. I mean dominos is ok right? Or maybe your a Pizza Hut person? Or little Cesar's? Either way it doesn't matter. Because this places pizza is FAR beyond the quality of any of those places. Pizza doh is made in house. Marinara is made in house. Put together with REAL cheese. Unlike the 3 I listed above. Don't feel yourself none of those places use actual real cheese. No matter if you enjoy a simple cheese pizza, pepperoni or something custom. You'll for sure enjoy this style of pizza. Keep in mind it's more of a thin crust type of place. But their ingredients make up for it in a big way. Did I mention they have sandwiches? My go to is the turkey bacon ranch. A good basic cold simple sandwich. Can't go wrong with it. And they have many other choices of sandwiches as well. I also really enjoy their ravioli. I get it with meat sauce. The worst thing on their menu BY FAR is their attempt at stuffed jalapeño. Please for all of us DO NOT MAKE THIS ANYMORE. You don't even fully bake the jalapeño and you don't even scoop the seeds out... this is NOT the way you make stuffed jalapeños. It is SO bad I can't even explain. Do not order it or you'll be upset you did. And the reason for the 5 star? OUTSTANDING customer service. Extremely good pizza. Restaurant is kept clean, even during hectic times of large parties.
