Be careful if you use your Military discount, apparently even if you order 2 gyros and 2 fries you can only get one drink??? The fries only filled maybe 1/3 of the fry bag and the meat on the gyros were not near the amount it used to be! Gyromania is a pretty decent place to get Mediterranean food at. You get so much bang for your buck! We got two plates and it was so much food. I had a lot of leftovers. I specifically got the chicken and chicken skewers plate. Yes, you can mix two different meats together and they gave a lot! Both of the meats were pretty tender. The thing about the skewers is that it didn't look like skewers at all. They just look like bigger pieces of meat. The sauces were all good. I got the hummus and tzatziki, but you can get other sauces on the side if you want. The negatives is the rice. It kind of tasted like Mexican rice to me. It should've been made with basmati rice. Other than that, the dish overall was well worth it. Fresh tasting with lots of veggies on the side. The employees were also really nice. The cook came out, knocked on the window, they acknowledged I was there, yet left me standing waiting for service for at least 4 minutes No customers were in restaurant. Gyromania is located at the Seabridge shopping/dining center in Oxnard by Victoria and Wooley Rd. They also have locations in Stevenson Ranch and Santa Clarita too. It's a spacious restaurant with a Greek mural and there's lot of tables and seats. They have a simple menu of wraps, salads and plates. Absolutely huge portions here! We saw the server grab more meats with the tongs and load it up on my salad plate. You get to choose what you want to go in your salad like a Subway/Chipotle style of ordering. For $17, my lamb gyro salad was enough to share for 2 people! They also have soda and refreshing drinks here too but I stuck to ice water. There are return stations with trash bins and trays for plates available by the door after your meal is devoured. I needed a to-go container for my salad and don't forgot to grab the garlic white sauce and their spicy green sauce! :) read more

Not bad Greek joint. They are generous with portion. The only issue I had was the rice. It was regular medium grain rice. Authentic rice should be basmati rice used with saffron. The gyro meat had been sitting in the hot plate pan (buffet style) but overall, our experience was good. We're out-of-towners so it's not likely we'll be coming back even if the experience was memorable. I can only give this place 4 stars. Gyromania has the best Greek food!! The star of the show are the lamb chops and fries. The lamb is tender and flavorful, and the fries are so crispy and well seasoned. Plates also come with a side salad and pita making this a well rounded meal. Besides the lamb, my absolute favorite thing from this restaurant is the sauces!! Every single one of them is good and they are generous with them. I highly recommend the garlic sauce (I could drink this straight) and jalapeño sauce. I decided to try this place out for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the gyro plate which goes for $17.99. For this price you get a huge portion of gyro meat, a pita, a choice of sauce and a choice of one side. The gyro meat was sliced thick and they gave me such a huge portion it was basically impossible to finish, so plan on bringing home leftovers. I had the salad as my side and it was also delicious. The place is neat and clean and colorful inside. It's counter service here, a sort of cafeteria style, so you will put your food on a tray and help yourself to any seat you wish. Been wanting to try this spot for a while now and finally made it today for lunch. So happy I stopped by because the food was delicious and the service was friendly. Located in the sea bridge shopping center this spot is easy to find and thankfully is located on the end so easier to find parking and get in and out. The building is well marked and upon walking inside, I was shocked to see this spot empty on a Friday at lunch. I hope people aren't sleeping on this spot because it's really good. Since it was empty I was able to go straight up to the counter and be helped right away. The gal who took my order was sweet and quick. She built my gyro plate in front of me and asked me to pick some different sides and toppings while she finished putting my to go box together. She was nice and patient explaining the options and very friendly. I told her for future reference what she recommended and she told me the gyro lamb pitas are on point and also their lemon chicken soup is her favorite. Those are both right up my alley so I'd come back to try her suggestions. The portion sizes here are beyond generous! Wasn't sure if it was just a slow day so they gave me a large portion but upon reading other reviews and talking to friends sounds like they give you a good amount of food for your money. A huge meat plate with rice, hummus, pita, and a salad + drink was $20. Pretty darn good given that easily this meal could be broken down into two plates to give you leftovers. The gyro meat here is very good and flavorful. I'm glad I got a plate so the flavors weren't lost being wrapped up in a thick pita. The rice was also tasty and had good flavor, a perfect pairing. Hummus was middle of the road - not the best I've had but definitely tasty. Pita was light and fluffy and I liked my little size bite of cucumber and olives she made me. Got a garlic sauce to go and the flavors all worked well together. Lastly I like that they have fresh juices, today the flavors were cucumber and watermelon. I went with watermelon, super fresh and a great option when you're not in the mood for a soda. This spot is perfect for a quick but filling lunch. The food was 5/5 delicious! Nice & clean. Smells really good when you walk in. Super friendly employees. Their regular hummus is the best! I had a large (huge) Greek Salad and it was so fresh & crisp. The falafel were very good, too. They even added extra onions because I said I really liked onions. I also ordered a side of fried zucchini and I'm so glad I did. It was the best fried zucchini I've had in a long time. Lots of zucchini and a light golden batter. Not heavy at all. The price was very reasonable, too. Wished they cut the Gyros shawarma was freshly cut from a vertical spit, as opposed to coming out of a hot container pre-sliced. The pilaf is very good. Their sauces are okay. I like the hummus, but if you did not want your hummus infused with garlic, you're out of luck. The pita was good, but would have liked it on the hot stone a bit longer. Pretty good Greek food. When you enter the restaurant the staff shouts "Opa!!" I got a lamb plate with fries instead of rice and a fountain soda. Cost was $23. A bit pricey but it was good. It definitely was not under seasoned. There was a lot of flavor in my lamb and it was extremely tender. I got the jalopeno sauce and garlic paste and both were good but I wish I got tzatziki sauce instead of the jalopeno. The restaurant is very Greek looking with nice artwork and music. I ordered a gyro wrap. The Good: The flavor is delicious, the ingredients are fresh, the place is clean, spacious with a lovely Greek theme in a convenient location. The Bad: I honestly wish they didn't stuff the gyro with SO much meat and ingredients, while this sounds strange, it becomes a mess to eat after a few bites and not as enjoyable. I've had many gyro wraps in Greece and they're a quick grab and go meal that you can comfortable eat while on the go. I would suggest to lower the quantities of ingredients and then you can lower the price a bit. Otherwise, add a "light" or "express" version of the wrap that has less ingredients, it's cheaper, and easy to eat on the go. I'm sure it would increase sales too. There was a ton of traffic on my way to pick up my food, I ended up calling the restaurant to see if they could keep my food warm and the girl on the phone was super nice! :) I got to the restaurant and picked up my food, it was freshly made and warm which was very appreciated. When I got to the car I realized they forgot my drink, no big deal I went back in to get it. I ordered the chicken souvlaki plate I added cucumbers, lettuce and bell peppers on top of the veggies the plate already comes with (tomatoes, onions and parsley). They forgot to give me tomatoes, onions and parsley. The chicken was seasoned well, but dry. My friend got the beef gyro plate. He did not enjoy it, but loved the fries. The place closes early however, I was not a fan of that, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed the service, the quality and the location. It is really close to the marina to ride boats and kayak. I went here with my family and nearvy is a fresh breeze outside. They have a dolmades, it was expensive but I wanted to try it. The price was too high like 20$ compared to the plate which had a salad. The one thing that was disappointing was extra cost for tzaziki and the quantity was not as much as I would have hoped for. It is a choose what you want and they make the food for you similar to the valencia location which I did not like. They should keep it the same as in the canyon country version, the rank 4 worldwide location because the service is faster. I still recommend this one because it matches the quality of the valencia one, but has issues with the cut of the lamb. read more

For a quick serve in Oxnard this is a great place for a quick meal. It's clean, employees are very friendly (it's Oxnard, not LA) and the food is plentiful and good. I highly recommend the salmon plate. It is a huge serving of grilled salmon with a giant feta stuffed mushroom. I liked it, I especially liked it was cooked to order. What I didn't like, and why 4 stars, is the fish had too much salt. The mushroom also was very salty but I understand feta is salty. If they could reduce the salty feta or find low sodium feta it would be outstanding. The chicken and the lamb gyro are very good and a generous serving. You can also ask for half and half. I enjoyed the house made watermelon "water" but suggest they make it as raw watermelon juice and not add any sugar. I hope Gyromania stays in business longer than the previous Italian restaurants. read more

Choose rice, fries, or salad then add lamb, chicken, beef, pork, or falafel. You can add sides that go from normal to exotic (flaming cheese anyone?) They are very accommodating and helpful. I got a plate with a mix of lamb and chicken. They suggested sauces to go with my choices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The tables and the whole area is clean.
