    Pizza and ranch

What's a trip to the Oxnard Harbor without a Toppers pizza and their delicious ranch. I ordered online and walked up and paid quickly. My order was ready to go! How convenient! This location has the best view! The only thing that made me not give 5 stars is that I saw the pizza maker making the pizzas without gloves. Just made me feel a little uneasy.

Huge pizza place and surprisingly it was packed. We sat outside since Lil Lucie was with us. The patio has a view of the harbor and sunset. Oddly enough you order at the counter and it's chaotic since it was so busy. Fortunately I had looked at the menu before we went and knew what to order. The menu board gives no descriptions so if you don't know you will have to ask. I ordered a large salad bar trip, the Hot Honey pizza and a couple of drinks. You get a pager but the staff will bring your pizza to you. The Hot honey pizza was delicious. Toppers crispy thin crust was perfection. The salad bar is large and even though it is one trip one large is big enough for two. After experiencing Toppers pizza I understood why the place was packed. If you love thin crispy crust Toppers is great. Sorry it was too chaotic to get photos inside.

As for pizza, of course, Pizzas from Toppers Pizza are delicious. I won't write too much about it because everyone already knows that. I love pizza, but I try not to eat too much of it too often. When I do, I usually use the salad bar here. I love it because I can eat a variety of different vegetables at once. If I were to buy all of these varieties at the supermarket myself, it would be a lot of work, and I wouldn't be able to eat them all. Compared to salad bars in other restaurants, this one offers a more varied selection of vegetables that are relatively fresh. There are two sizes, small and large, but I always order the large. Of all the Toppers locations, this is my favorite. Not only is it close to my home, but also you can dine while looking out at the harbor, there's plenty of space, and the outdoor tables are dog-friendly. Good place for a couple, family, and group. Parking is in front of the restaurant.

Late-Night Cravings = Solved at Toppers! Rolled into Toppers in Oxnard for a late-night snack, and honestly? Best decision ever. The pizza was hot, cheesy, and loaded just the way I like it, crispy crust, melty goodness, and ALL the toppings. Bonus: their ranch is elite. Dip everything in it, trust me. It was busy but fast, the staff was cool, and it hit the spot after a long day. Perfect place when you want something satisfying without the fuss. The Food Experience: Signature Flavors: Their customizable pizzas are where the magic is. Feeling spicy? Go for jalapeños, pepperoni, and red pepper flakes. Craving cheesy perfection? Opt for extra mozzarella, cheddar, and their irresistible garlic-parmesan drizzle. Crust & Dough: They offer classic pan, thin, or deep-dish, great for carb lovers. Thin is crisp and light, deep-dish is a doughy hug for your taste buds. Customize, customize, customize: With toppings galore, you can go wild. The "T&W" (taco & wing, yes really) combo pizza is worth a try. Order ahead: Even late at night, they get busy, so call early or use their app & grab a seat. Take it to the beach: It's just a short drive to Mandalay Bay, you, your pizza, and the ocean deserve a moonlit trio. Will I be back at midnight again? Probably.

    Salad bowl!

Honestly, this place surprised me! I stopped by for lunch and really enjoyed the atmosphere. I got the quick meal, which included a personal-sized pizza and a small bowl from the salad bar, all for just $11 in this economy?? The salad bar was a highlight , it had chickpeas, beans, deviled eggs, and tons of options with multiple dressing flavors. The pizza was crispy and satisfying. It wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but it really hit the spot after a long day at the beach. I had the BBQ pizza, and the crispiness of the crust paired perfectly with the toppings.

This review is loooong overdue. When I tell you this is the GOAT pizza place, please know that I say that with my WHOLE chest. I've been a topper fan since 2008 and I have never once been disappointed. Service: 10/10! Ambiance: 12/10! I don't even live in the 805 anymore and yet, I still find time to come here every. single. time I come to town. Also, THAT RANCH THOUGH. I have often said I would "bathe" in it. Lol. This location is my favorite as it's right by the harbor and sunsets are beautiful here. Also, the salad bar, specialty pizzas, pizza cookies, and soda machines.. are all amazing too. However, classic pepperoni is my FAVE.

    Chicken Dijon Ranch
    Nate E.

Best pizza in town enough said. Service is always helpful and thorough. Ambiance is always nice considering the harbor location has a view but the restaurant on Gonzalez is just as nice and even though a lot smaller there's still seating available. TVs for entertainment is nice especially when sports are on. Will always vouch for the chicken Dijon ranch pizza at any of their locations.

    Burnt cheese. Horrible pizza.
    Ali O.

What horrible pizza. Why do people eat here? Cheese was all burnt. Small tasteless pizza with burnt cheese, 2 little tiny salad bowls for the salad bar ran us over 30 bucks. Even frozen pizza is better than this crap.

    Half cheese half pepperoni
    Derek T.

Toppers rules. This is a nice location overlooking the harbor. Plenty of seating available inside and out. Quality pizza, awesome salad bar, and good vibes. Food always comes out quick. I will be back, mostly for the hot honey pizza. It's a good mix of sweet and spicy.

    Missy K.

Nice view n place is huge so spacious food is fine, just a pizza joint with a view. You order ahead n they bring the food. Not sure about the salad bar, ever since covid I just don't eat from open buffet style salads bars. Lost one for food, it's fine nothing to drive out here for, stop by place since it's the only thing open on Monday evening, this city by the beach is just so dead.

    Carnitas Chipotle (small) 6-15-24
    Sara B.

2nd visit here. This time we ordered 2 small 1-trip salad bar bowls, 2 small pizzas and one drink and it came out to $51. This time I ordered the garlic chicken parmesan pizza. It was good but I think I prefer the carnitas pizza more. The salad bowl they provide for $6.25 is just not worth it. It's about 4 inches in diameter and about 2 inches in height. It's seems overly priced especially considering the only protein on the salad bar is chopped up hard boiled egg. I would have like have to seen some chopped chicken and bacon. Otherwise it's just sliced and chopped veggies such as cauliflower, broccoli, radishes, tomatoes, carrots, mushrooms, kale, canned kidney beans and canned chickpeas. No avocado, no guacamole and no olives. Pretty plain. Based off this salad bar experience, my next visit I would skip the salad bar and stick to the pizzas.

The best pizza in Ventura county! The service is great and always fast and efficient, fresh food all the time! Salad and sandwiches are fire the ambiance is great.

    Lisa V.

Great pizza, great view, great deal! The "quick lunch" with pizza and salad bar for $10.50 is quite the deal. You can eat upstairs, down or outside. A good family friendly pizza place

We ordered the fish and chips and SB smash burger. Honestly, they were pretty disappointing. SB Smash Burger 3/10: The burger was nothing special and didn't even have tomatoes (a standard burger topping in my eyes). It was a whopping 22 DOLLARS! A bit crazy for a totally average burger and some fries in my mind. They didn't even remember to give us any ketchup and we had to go up to the truck and ask for them. The fries were good though and pleasantly crispy. Fish and Chips 2/10: This one had potential but it fell short! At first bite, the batter was pleasantly crispy and the fish was super soft and tender. But, not five minutes later, the bottom of the fish was soggy! The batter was also a bit bitter. (we suspect maybe the beer batter?) If the batter was less bitter and a bit more crispy, we'd give this a much better score. The service at this little spot was honestly not too good. We had to keep asking for things and they didn't even have utensils or napkins readily available. Furthermore, we asked for an extra tar tar sauce (we had three people and they gave us a half filled container of sauce). The person behind the counter said that they were running low on sauce and weren't giving out any more! Seeing as though the original cup of sauce wasn't even filled all the way, it was a bit disappointing. Overall, I don't think i'll come back. Even though the area is super cute and comfortable, the disappointing food and service is reason enough to find a different lunch spot.

And let me tell you, when you're heading to an island for kayaking and hiking, securing food starts to feel less like lunch planning and more like wilderness survival strategy. The online ordering process, though, gave my husband a minor technological character-building experience. Not especially intuitive or user friendly. Then, on the morning of the trip, we weren't entirely sure where the lunches would actually appear. Tiny scavenger hunt energy. Thankfully, they were waiting for us at the ferry office, and we both immediately took the same relieved breath: "Excellent. We shall not perish on the island." The sandwiches themselves were genuinely delicious. I had the Caprese, my husband had the turkey baguette, and both were fresh, flavorful, and substantial enough to fuel actual adventure instead of just delaying hunger by 20 minutes. Each lunch box also came with chips, Fuji water, and a chocolate chip cookie that quietly stole the show. Soft, delicious, and exactly the kind of reward you want after hauling yourself around an island pretending you're far more athletic than you really are. By the time lunch was over, I was happy, full, and fully prepared for the next round of kayaking and hiking. Which is really the highest compliment an adventure lunch can get.

The process was super easy and made the wait feel seamless. We were seated on the "outdoor" patio, which was absolutely delightful. It's covered, so it feels like you're inside, but it's still open-air and pup friendly, which we loved. They even have a pup menu and bring out little metal water bowls. Our doggo was living his best life. The menu is large with tons of options. We initially tried using the QR code (which is great because it includes photos), but ultimately asked for a paper menu, sometimes it's just easier to flip through. My husband ordered The California (eggs, bacon, and pancakes). This breakfast also comes with toast and your choice of potatoes. We upgraded to the chili cheese tots, thinking it was just a small upcharge from the standard side, and didn't realize until we got back to the hotel that we were charged $8 for them, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the tots were tasty (just eat them quickly because they cool off fast!). His eggs were cooked perfectly, but the $3.50 upcharge to add blueberries to the pancakes felt steep, and the bacon was mostly fat and a bit overcooked. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with poached eggs, and the eggs were absolutely perfect. The dish was bursting with flavor. My only critique was that the beans were a bit too liquid-heavy, which made the tortilla very soggy, I couldn't finish as much as I would've liked because of that. The Bloody Marys, though? So good. Highly recommend! We both loved them. Our server was pleasant and friendly. Oh and there was a Char Man hot sauce on the table that was EPIC! Overall, we would definitely come back, we'd just try a few different menu items next time... except for the Bloody Marys. Those are a repeat order for sure.

As soon as you walk in, you'll notice a beautiful display of wine bottles, and you can clearly see the full bar ahead--definitely sets the tone that the drinks are going to be just as good as the food. Fabiola was our waitress, and she was incredibly sweet and attentive. She answered all of our questions (and we had a lot!), making the whole experience even better. We all started with coffee--because how could we not at breakfast? Unfortunately, their espresso machine wasn't working, so I went with a regular black coffee with creamer. It was actually pretty good! We didn't order any appetizers, but they have plenty of great options to choose from. For my meal, I ordered the ribeye sandwich, and wow--the meat was so tender and juicy, full of flavor, and the portion was perfect. I could honestly eat this every day. My sister had the chilaquiles, which were highly recommended by the staff, and they definitely lived up to the hype. The only thing is we wished they were a little more saucy, as they were slightly on the dry side. My sister-in-law ordered the big breakfast, which comes with two of everything--huge portions and definitely worth it. Now let's talk about the pancakes... they offer both regular pancakes and Mexican-style pancakes, which are thinner--but honestly, so much better. I cannot stress enough how amazing they were. I absolutely fell in love and would come back just for those alone! Overall, such an amazing place. Highly recommend!
