I've always wanted to visit this brewery. I finally did and I wasn't disappointed. The taproom was roomy and felt like a brewery. There was also a lot of outdoor space. However, only one restroom here is criminal. I can't imagine how long of a line forms when it's busy. Now for the beer, I got a flight. None of my beers were knock off my socks spectacular but they were all very good. So much so that I wish I could have a full pour of all of them. Another thing I liked here is the big menu and the variety of beer. I'll definitely be coming back here to taste more beer. read more

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a pint, and impressed by the spacious patio and industrial vibe inside. Plastic furniture was a bit rickety, but they had lawn games and space for kids to run around. The IPAs they had seemed to trend hazy, and we tried a couple different ones. Solid but nothing mind-blowing. Bartenders were friendly and efficient, and we took a 4-pack of a different West Coast IPA home. Pretty nice brewery tucked away in the side streets. I probably wouldn't have found this place if my friends didn't already know about it. Because of that, the spot is not crowded at all. In fact, we were practically the only party there on a Saturday night. If you're looking for something chill and feels like you rented the entire space out, come here. Plus, it's very spacious with lots of seating. After dinner, we came by to grab some beers and play some cornhole. I used YELP to find a place to get a beer and found this amazing place. We hadn't eaten, so my partner went to Omega burger around the corner, while I bought a flight of their lager, dark lager, and 2 IPAs. After getting some food in us, we ended up ordering a couple of more beers (the Hazy). The 2 guys behind the counter were very helpful, recommending their "flagship" beers. We were not disappointed. We brought our older border collie kiddo with us. I was told that I could bring her anywhere with us while we enjoyed our beer :) They have a few corn hole games and we watched a group of locals having a good time. We aren't in the Orange area often, but if we are, we will definitely come back. read more

Been a regular here for probably 7 years. Friday night was always Chapman night. Staff has always been top notch. Unfortunately, the place has been overrun with toddlers and unfit parents with FOMO. Final straw tonight - they rented the outside area out for a preschool event, and it wasn't leave your kids at home! I'm pretty sure I drink more than the toddlers but the owner would rather have them as clients than beer drinkers. read more

This place has always gave friends and myself a great opportunity for fun and memories. The beer selection is solid and good variety of all types of people. A good starting place before going to other places in the area for food or drinks. They usually have a food truck on site which is pretty good always. 5 stars! We hosted my husband's 50th birthday party at Chapman crafted and they did not disappoint. Jen, the event coordinator, was super friendly, organized, prompt and helpful. I had many questions and she had the answers. The day of the event, the staff had the Barrel room cleared out for us and helped us with the tables and TVs. They were all very friendly and continued to smile and clear excess glasses throughout the event. At the end of the night, the tab looked well calculated and organized (we chose to host the bar and used wristbands). We packed up our stuff and went on our way. As much research I did for our day trip to Orange, the Chapman Craft Beer Tasting room was that good X-factor, that nice surprise that yu discover by walking around. The tasting room is in downtown area, near Metrolink and Hilbert Museum, easy to find, they put sign on the near by streets so you'll find it. I saw it in passing coming from the Farmer's Market and later on, when we needed a break into the action, I figured it'd be the perfect place to relax and try their beers. I love breweries and local businesses and Chapman didn't disappoint this beer loving girl. The space is big, industrial, converted into a cool tasting room with bar, vintage car, games, various room with seating opportunities. It reminded me of places from the Funk Zone in my beloved Santa Barbara. We tried the Marzen (Old Town Fest) since it looked good in the mug of a fellow beer lover (lighter, more like an Amber Ale, crisp and fresh) and the Professor - brown ale, dark, smooth, crisp, I loved it. The keg was at the end of its Professor beer so my glassed didn't get filled, so the nice bartender brought a fresh one later to us. So we almost had 3 beers. OK in my book! Prices are very reasonable, the selection is great, varied, better than at other indie breweries. It's a cool college town, so the names of the beer are kinda cheeky, it makes sense! Customer service is good. And they have a shower in the restrooms. Good for various accidents or a quick shock against the hangover? Opened daily, M-Th Noon- 10 pm, Fr-Sat Noon- Midnight, Sunday - Noon to just 8 pm??? C'mon! They sell chips and salsa if you get hangry. It was also a food truck out in the parking lot when we left. So, this could be a fun dinner out! If you live in the area or visit and love beer, bookmark this place and try it out! Great outdoor/indoor place, perfect to sip a beer on a late afternoon and relax after sightseeing. Cool hangout, nice discovery in Orange, it was meant to be! read more

I think there are better IPAs in Orange/Anaheim area for sure. But I like the open space. Staff is friendly and they seem to have normal prices. Haven't been inflated yet. They may not have the best beer. But it's a cool spot in the circle if the weather is good. read more

Great location in Old Town Orange, within walking distance to the nightlife at the circle. Limited street parking available. I'm saying this as a porter and stout girl: Chapman's Stout/Porter game is on point! (Did I use that phrasing correctly? I feel like my 90-year old grandma right now...) As our time in the area was limited, we had to make some hard decisions about which breweries to try on this trip, and which to pass on. Chapman was high on my list, so my husband relented (seeing they had an Oktoberfest on tap also helped sway him.) My first flight (I'm a creature of habit, what can I say?) consisted of: Old Towne Fest (really good malted flavor, I preferred this märzen to Barley Forge's version); Super Smooth, Boysenberry Vanilla (the sweet/tart flavor of the fruit and vanilla almost completely masked the bitterness of the IPA...almost); Last Roast (SO good, the dark roasted flavor and aroma pulled me right in); and the Slow Riser, on nitro (another instant favorite, the fact that it was on nitro didn't hurt one bit. The flavor wasn't overpowering at all). We had a fun conversation with the guys working the bar that day about porters and stouts because the one helping us was also a fan of that type of beer. It was nice to chat with someone not all about the IPA. My second flight consisted of: Forbidden Lager (crisp and clean, but a little lacking on the flavor. I was really drawn in by the "forbidden rice" used in the brew); Blogger (good flavor, but didn't deliver much of a "punch"); The Professor (probably my least favorite of the night, I didn't like the flavor so much); and the Say No More (the other brew on nitro that night, it reminded me of a horchata - strong cinnamon and vanilla notes that worked really well with the smooth texture it got from the nitro pour). I really enjoyed our visit and the beer, here. They have one bathroom, which is unfortunate, given the number of people and the sheer amount of liquid being consumed. Plus, the bathroom is as big as this sentence. And it could have used a bit of janitorial love that day, but it was fine the couple of times I had to use it. I've been coming here for a few years now, right when they opened til now. The beer selection has always been great and on point. The location and ambience has always been great; close to the circle and always a ton of parking. The most recent years has seen food vendors show up which is awesome. I'm glad that they're growing and reaching more people. However, I will say that the ambience has changed a bit. It went from a cool, local brewery to a daycare/parent hang out spot. I mean this with the most respect. The beer is still great, a ton of tables, games everywhere but it's different now. Kids crying, running around, strollers taking up space and toys on the floor. I get that parents that can't get a babysitter or wish to mingle with other parents need a place to hang out but I'm not sure that a brewery is the best place for it. We were just here recently with a group of friends and couldn't get over the toys on the ground next to our table. Parents were too occupied mingling; I'm not sure why no one had picked them up but I was hoping the whole time that no one would trip on them. I'm not here to lecture anyone on parenting or anything but if this is the kind of brewery/hangout spot this is becoming, I think my friends and I will be going elsewhere. No one wants to be enjoying beers with friends and worrying about someone else's kids. It's a shame, we used to love coming here. read more

I'd been here once or twice a while back, and the beer was good.. My wife and I recently decided to come back with our dog for a drink after work, and man, this instantly became our go-to after work brewery - let me explain why. The people. Chapman seems to have the best in the biz, specifically the tasting room manager, Chris. My wife went back and forth with what she wanted to try, and Chris was able to make a solid recommendation every time we went to the bar, that was on point. Aside from being incredibly knowledgeable with beer, he was just a great guy. We talked to him a few times throughout the night, and he checked in a couple times when we were seated to make sure we were still enjoying our beers. Our dog loved Chris too, and he took the time to kneel down and give him a couple scratches. Aside from having delicious beer and great food trucks (they seem to have gotten way better recently), that friendly and family atmosphere that Chris and the staff provided will keep us coming back for years to come. Visited Chapman Crafted Beer as it was one of the stops on a private brewery tour bus we were on. Since it was during Covid, it was outdoor seating only. They had a cute outdoor patio with a food truck. The service was quick, beer was delicious, and food truck was great as well. You order a voucher for the food truck through your server and you provide the voucher and your order to the food truck. They were strict with the Covid guidelines and enforced masks when you're not eating or drinking at your table, which I appreciated. I had a great time and will be back soon for some beer! read more

Chapman is definitely a craft beer player worthy of elite status. It's a great hangout space, with a friendly staff, and a neighborhood vibe. They feature approx 16 beers made on site, ranging from German Pilsner to Hazy & WC IPAs, Porter, Stout and Barleywine. I really liked the Hazy NEIPA I had.
