Excellent variety of coffees and sandwiches. Great service. Very very clean. Family friendly and safe. The chapel store attached is very nice. Great customer service. Everyone has a great attitude. Everyone here is friendly. Worth every penny.

Do you love food? Do you love the lord? If your answers are yes and no, you are still welcome here!!! Chapel Cafe makes a pretty nice Tuna Sandwich on Squaw bread and it's only around $3.25!!! They also make other things, I tried the french dip once, it was alright, but I don't plan on getting it again. You get to pick what you want on your sandwich. I like the red onions, jalepeno, tomato, and lettuce. I also get a nice pickle on the side. Sweet! This cafe is connected to Calvary Chapel Downey. It's a ministry service I guess. I don't know. All I know is it's some good eatin' and some good prices. Because it's a church business, here are their hours: Sunday 7:30-1:30/5:00-8:00 Monday 7:30-6:00 Tuesday 7:30-7:00 Wednesday 7:30-7:00/9:00-10:00 Thursday 7:30-7:00 Friday 7:30-10:00 Saturday CLOSED Note: Jesus Juice is not on the menu.

Was looking for a nice coffee shop for studying and Chapel Cafe is it! Went there for the first time today and experienced great service, free wifi, many tables and seats and a good and inexpensive iced latte. I will be going often!

Great place to hang out and have some yummie drinks. Siping on a blended white mocha raspberry right now

The foam with the custom latte art cost an extra $2 but I think it was worth it, at least for my first time. To be honest, Honey Greens seemed like a gimmicky place since I thought the foam art was all that it was known for, but no, their drink quality was actually good! I got the agave matcha latte for myself, and I enjoyed how rich it tasted and how vibrant it was in color. I also added a cold foam which made it too sweet for me. Next time, I plan on ordering an unsweetened matcha latte and add cold foam as the sweetener. I also tried a sip of the lavender matcha and that was the one thing I didn't like because the lavender overpowered the matcha. It was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon with all the tables filled and a short line formed after I walked in. The workers were all so kind, and it was overall a very inviting place with fun decorations and a myriad of art options for the cold foam.

I ordered the Coconut Iced Latte with Sweet Cream Cloud Foam through the app -- paid about $8.50. It was too much on the sweet side but honestly, the sweetness was on me since I added the cloud foam, but the drink itself was about a 6/10. My order was ready when I arrived, and the girl who greeted me was genuinely sweet and welcoming. On my way out, their pastry display caught my eye and I went back to grab a Matcha Pistachio Croissant ($7.50). A different person took my order and she seemed a little bothered when I came back to order, which was a bit off-putting. The croissant itself was disappointing -- it didn't taste fresh, and this was only about 30 minutes after opening. For $7.50, I expected a lot more, especially compared to other spots serving matcha pistachio croissants that are both tastier and more affordable. The shop was nice and clean and it has plenty of seating. That said, their matcha is still easily in my top 3 -- that part never disappoints. I'll keep coming back for that, but I'll be skipping the coffee and pastries going forward.

Homeboy Coffee - Ube matcha latte and their signature cream top. Balanced, creamy, and not overly sweet.

My friend and I found ourselves Shazamming almost every song that played haha I decided to try something new and get the Homeboy latte and it was delicious. I could barely taste the cayenne though. The ice to drink ratio is great! Extra half point for it looking aesthetically pleasing, but other than that, I wouldn't order it again. Service: 8/10 Everyone is super nice and easy to talk to! Ordering was easy and drink came out in 5-10mins, and they were quite busy when I walked in. Ambiance: 8/10 It's definitely a small space, but they make it work! I think the interior looks great and is very functional in terms of walking room. There's a really good balance of natural and artificial lighting. Nothing is overwhelming or super intense. Music was a bit loud for me personally. There are outlets here and there and the restroom was pretty clean. Parking lot is medium sized, and I had no issues finding a spot. There's indoor and shaded outdoor seating. Pretty good study spot overall. TDLR: Good study spot for individuals or pairs. Corn matcha is super mid. Clean restrooms, good lighting, easy parking, but music can be a bit loud. Rated 4 stars because of the drink. Willing to come back if a friend wanted to go, but wouldn't come back by myself.
