Excellent! We found this place by accident and we will definitely be back! we were there at about 730 on Thursday, there was no wait for a table. The service was spot-on. We ordered the cucumber salad, veggie dumplings, panang curry, veg pad thai and chicken fried rice. Everything tasted wonderful, the kids loved the fried rice!! It did seem a little pricey tho - $100 for 4 adults and 2 kids (the kids shared a fried rice), and we all drank water. We will be back!! (but probably without the kids!) read more

I am not "big" on Thai but I really enjoyed having lunch here with a friend last week. The restaurant is very clean, comfortable with colorful decor. The Chai tea was excellent! We had the chicken Pad Thai which was really good. And then the steak Chai Tai Delight which was flavorful but the steak seemed over cooked. Overall pleased and will go back again. read more

This dainty restaurant Chai Thai in Sri Petaling is a lovely eatery. The layout of the restaurant is spacious and clean. The food is really authentic and delicious. The dishes I tried include Tomyam seafood soup which I think is the best in town. I also like the vegetable dishes which is simple yet tasty. Both pork and chicken dishes are great as well as the seafood dishes. Their appetisers are good especially the grilled pork and salad. Last but not least, the coconut icreceam is amazing. read more

We were so happy to finally try this restaurant. For starters we ordered the Thai money bags and Thai hot wings. Both were great. My husband and son really loved the money bags, but I preferred the wings that came beautifully glazed with a sweet, slightly spicy chili garlic sauce. For the meal we chose Gaeng Panang, Pad Kee Mao, and Chai Thai Delight. It was a great selection since all 3 were very different and allowed us to sample 3 great dishes. Also, my husband had a hard kambucha which was delicious. The service was impecable, with our server checking in regularly to make sure we were enjoying every aspect of the meal. We will definitely return many times. My goal is to try everything on the menu. Oh and btw, the decor is great. read more

I saw everyone commenting on the money bags and while the description of the item is not what I would typically order, I figured I'd try them out. So glad I did - yum! For the rest of my order I figured I would start out with the basics: dumplings, shrimp pad Thai, and chicken fried rice. If you can't get these right then it tells you something about the restaurant as a whole. All three were fantastic. So good that I ordered it as takeout two days in a row. This is Plainfield Newest delight! The curry chickens are fantastic. The appetizers are very tasty! (The Chicken satay, cucumber salad, and Pot stickers are among my favorite!) The ambiance is impressive. Prices are reasonable too. My father loves the desserts! read more

Food was very good. We tried 3 appetizers (dumplings, spring rolls and Thai money bag) they were pretty good. Our main dishes were great we had shrimp pad siew and I had beef and chicken pad kee mao spicy. The waitress was very nice and polite but considering we were the only people in there it was a bit before we were attended to. We will be trying this place again read more

We had the Pad Kee Mao, a wide noodle dish with broccoli, peppers, tomatoes and bean sprouts and Daeng- Red Curry - both with chicken. Both were very good. I would have given five stars except we thought the red curry sauce was a bit thin. We did carry out and the food was ready very quickly. We considered ordering medium spicy but took the advice of the server to take it mild and add chili paste if we needed more heat. I am glad we took the advice because mild was perfect for me and hubby enjoyed adding the chili paste. The only other negative is they don't have a lunch menu so we paid $27 for two entrees for lunch. read more

The food was good but the portion size was around half what we've received from other Thai restaurants, especially considering they were around 20% higher priced. May try it again to see if it was just a one time deal. The place was nice and clean, service was good and polite. read more

Even my 9 yr old, who can be a finicky eater, enjoys their apps, beef fried rice, and most of all their mango and sweet rice dessert. Ordered take out both times. First time....not bad, not great. My neighbors had mentioned how overpriced the food is. I didn't pay much attention the first time I ordered, but when I paid attention the second time it did seem really overpriced for the amount of food you get. Second time, called in and was told it would be 30 min. Showed up about 35 min after I ordered, and stood at the hostess/register area for about 15 min before someone showed up. Was told they were going to get my order. Waited, waited, waited.....they had never even started my order. From the time I called and placed the order til the time I got my food, one hour fifteen minutes had passed. If they would have just been honest and told me I could have either cancelled the order or gone home as I live less than half a mile away. Mistakes happen, but it's the way they're handled that leaves an impression. Wasn't even given a "sorry" let alone a discount for the wait time. It's a shame as it's the only Thai around me. The food isn't memorable, but it's not horrible. The service and the price, however, make this place somewhere I won't be going and won't be referring. read more

Coming from an area with lots of thai restaurants i can confidently say that this places style and taste do not fit in with others that i enjoy much more. I ordered an appetizer and a entree, didnt finish the entree because of the taste and the sick feeling that it was giving my stomach and i only ordered another appetizer not because i was in love with the flavor but simply because of how hungry i was from the long driver and because i still had several more hours to go. All in all i think it was overpriced for food that wasnt that good. read more
