The things we get here are now consistently good. Beef fried rice, chicken chop suey, bbq pork egg foo yung, and crab rangoon. Sometimes a bit stingy on the white rice thats supposed to accompany certain dishes. One tiny knock, the mushrooms in the chop suey are black but they are button mushrooms. I just toss them into the compost pile right off. Food is ready quickly, and fried rice portion is always nice and large. The gravy on the egg foo yung is always just about perfect! One other perk, for me at least, I can easily walk here! But there are always many open spots in the strip center lot. read more

Friendly and quick greeting and given the options of how much or how little of: the sauces, fortune cookies or plastic silverware I wanted. Was given a carry out menu. The food was also great. Chow Fun beef had so much beef with fresh green onions, and, of course the noodles. I did add some more soy sauce for salt. Egg Foo Yun with shrimp was perfect! Think I found my new Chinese Takeout. Had the lunch special and you get a good amount for just $8.50. Was my lunch for 2 days. I picked Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice. It wasn't spicy to me, so maybe next time I'll ask for extra spicy. But the flavors were great. Wasn't very salty, so I didn't have that dehydrated feeling afterwards. Was piping hot when I got it. Also had ordered crab rangoon and eggroll to try. Crab rangoon was crispy outside and a good amount of filling inside. The eggroll were pretty big too and to me it taste the same as all other eggrolls. So I'll probably just get the crab rangoon again next time for an appetizer. read more

That was the best Chinese food I've ever had in my life. Firstly, the chow mein, extraordinary. It is the best chow mein I have ever had and probably will ever have. I highly recommend this location. The orange chicken, was so flavorful. Everything was absolutely delicious. The gentleman at the counter was very nice. I got so much food too! It was amazing. The quality and quantity was excellent. Big portions at pretty good prices which is a rarity around here. It has some lunch specials so you can save even more. New Wok is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Naperville. Certainly it's one of the cheapest. This is only for takeout. I picked up an order at lunch. Look at the lunch specials and you'll find some great savings. The one I got was the Kung Pao Vegetables. It's $6.95 for the lunch special, which comes with an egg roll, which I gave to my female friend as we shared the meal. Tofu doesn't come with this but it's added for a couple bucks to make it $9.20 or so. It's still a good price for the big portion. There was so much some had to be put in one of those paper takeout containers too. It had a good spice to it. The tofu was too soft for my liking but it and everything else was better than just okay. Good prices for how much they give. It's quite a value for a few bucks at lunch. This is a very small place so it's only for takeout. read more

Wow I was so disappointed by my food tonight. I knew it was a new owner within a few bites. The pot stickers were fried instead of pan fried. My eggs rolls were soggy and stale. The fried rice was not good. It tasted old. And the almond cookies were soggy. My husband feels sick. It's open again under new ownership. We liked the dishes better than before and will definitely order again soon. Yessss!!! After months of trying to find the perfect Chinese restaurant, my search is finally over. I ordered the shrimp fried rice extra spicy, which came overflowing. Like seriously the amount I received is enough to feed 6-8 people. The crab rangoons were delicious and crispy, the perfect balance of crab and cream cheese. My only complaint is that there were so many options for noodles, and without a pic, I couldn't tell which ones would look and taste like the lomein I have been craving since moving to IL fifteen years ago, so I didn't order them. If the restaurant could post pics of all their dishes, this would really help customers like me, who've been burnt in the past by so many lomein knock offs, I've almost given up on finding it . One more note, I received a call from the restaurant shortly after ordering online to confirm and clarify my order, which was a really nice touch. My wife and I both agree that this is the best Chinese in the area. We had a great experience with the staff at New Wok. Very polite and met with smiles. The food was great. The sweet n sour chicken was spot on. The won ton soup was good as well. In terms of portion size, o was very happy with the dinner sized portion. The pricing was good and appropriate. I gave 4/5 stars because the place isn't the most up to date or eye pleasing itself- but I'm not there to eat, just to pick up food. So, it didn't matter all that much.
