a plate of food with rice and vegetables

Remember the "No Soup For You" guy from Seinfeld? This is the Asian restaurant version of that. Decent food...but expect ZERO concessions, or exceptions, from the owner. If this is your first time, be prepared to order exactly what you think you will enjoy, or you may never come back. Walking into the establishment you will be greeted by an employee guarded by a saran-wrap forcefield covering the register counter. I'm all for PPE, but my goodness. I was thinking, "Am I ordering take-out, or walking into a seedy medical establishment?" Fortunately, the food was good. I had the General's Tofu & Pineapple fried rice. The food seemed fresh, & the portion sizes were good. But it's a little pricey for take-out, at nearly $15 a dish. (And pass on the pan-fried noodles). When I had asked to substitute the meat egg rolls for veg egg rolls, I was denied & told it was late in the night (It was over an hour before closing time). To my surprise, even the provided fortune cookie read, "No Egg-Rolls For You". Despite my belly being full, I cried myself to sleep.

The service of Z J China was great. Very friendly and even included some free egg rolls. The food on the other hand tasted like cat

Great chinese carry out. There are probably 30 in a 5-mile radius, and this is the only good one I've found.

Absolutely amazing! Hot, flavorful, phenomenal take out experience…read more Must order: egg rolls, soup dumplings, Chung du dumplings, pan fried pork buns, beef noodle soup

I've been to this location a few times, and it's delicious every time! Even as take-out (which we…read moredid this weekend), the food stays good. As far as service: Quick and friendly. We ordered quite a bit, and all of it was ready in 20 minutes! They also asked about peanut allergies, which we do not have but thought was considerate, given that this is not something often asked about in Asian settings. Food: As most people have said, the food is great. My one demerit would be that the ma po tofu I ordered was SUPER SPICY, at least for me. But I'm someone who typically enjoys spice! My husband said his beef was also super spicy, so just be careful. I ended up having to take the heat down a bit, but everything was still delicious. Price: Overall fair, given the times. It feels pricey at first, but I think this is just the way things are now. Plus, the dumplings taste made from scratch, and any meal you order here can be at least 2 meals, maybe 3 as it was for me. Location: We don't live near the area, but we do stop at Katy's most times we are in the neighborhood. The parking lot is a bit small as is the actual place itself, so you might have to wait a bit if you're gonna eat in, but it feels cozy and cute. If it's busy, don't dawdle. Get in and get out. Maybe resume the socializing at the cute little coffeeshop at the corner of the strip mall. Ultimately, def try Katy's. And def get dumplings. Just mind the spice sin some foods, possibly price, parking lot, and potential wait time if dining in.

We have come here so often, that my mom and uncles seem to know our servers. They really take care of us. And then mom likes to give an extra tip to whomever is really hustling. Service has always been top notch - even without the extra tip. Typically, we are split between two tables. After we mix and mingle and say our hellos, everyone sits down for some serious business - picking out our dim sum dishes. We all have our favorites - dumplings, buns (siaopao) filled with meat or custard, egg rolls, noodles, etc. There is something for everyone. Well, not sure about gluten free stuff... The tables sit about 10 and there is a "Lazy Susan" (turntable thing) in the middle for easier distribution of food. We love it and even use it for the obligatory family video (just set your phone to record and slowly turn the Lazy Susan). lol Overall, we are happy customers and will keep bringing our big Filipino family back here!

We ordered orange chicken, Kung Pao chicken, soy fried rice, and pan-fried chicken pot stickers. Unfortunately, none of the dishes really stood out, as everything seemed to lack flavor and taste. The service was good, but the long wait and underwhelming food made the overall experience disappointing. Hopefully, they can improve the taste of their food because the restaurant has potential.

The server was always on her phone. I asked her so many times to removed the dirty plates from the table and she completely ignored us. The ambiance was empty just a few orders to go. I feel SAD that I took an hour drive to be so disappointed at the horrible tasting food and also the bad service
