Great food, great flavor, really nice employees! Amazing vegetarian place, but great even if you're not a vegetarian. The spinach paneer is so good! And you can get a multi-plate sampling (with huge portions) of one of every curry for only $10! The portions are great especially for the price and the flavor is amazing. A little hidden gem. I don't get the 3-star and 4-star reviews of this place. I've been going here for 8 years and it's been consistent and terrific. Any time my family has a hankering for Indian St., Food this is where we end up. And we drive about 40 minutes to get here. Today we did Dahi puri, kadhi Chawal, pav bhaji extra pav, Hakka noodles, muli paratha spicy and mango lassi. Each item here was a 5/5 today, and has been from the first time we tried them! Their dahi puri is to die for. I make it a point to take friends and family visiting seattle here to try the dahi puri. Tip: eat it as soon as it's served. I'm still so confused why it gets such low reviews - but that just goes to show you really have to try things for yourself instead of going off of others opinions. Poor quality food! Bland watery pav bhaji with very sweet pav Dahi puri did not have any masala/potato filling.. just curd and onions and little chutney.. Chickoo shake was like sweet milk, no taste Annapurna thali which should come with Chapati, they served roti which was super hard to break. We've been here several times and I honestly think their food is consistently good. The papdi chaat, raj kachori and samosas are all tasty. My favorite lately is the makki ki roti with saag. On Saturdays they have pakora kadhi which is another fave. A few weeks ago I ordered 10 samosay for take out and was charged for all 10, but when I opened the bag there were only 8. I called the Chaat House and they said next time I come in they'll give two free of charge to make up for the ones that were missing. It's a taste of India itself!! The foot is delicious, and the staff is very kind! You will not find many vegetarian restaurants, but this one is all veg and all yummy! The best place for vada pav. Absolutely love their vada pav, reminds me of Mumbai. The amritsari kulcha with chole is really nice. The sev poori is a go-to. We recently tried schezwan rice and baby corn manchurian, it wasn't bad at all. Not very oily either. I wish they had more curry options though. If you go ask for a to go box for their Parathas - we ordered to go but they served it as dine in - you'll get yelled at and denied a stupid to go box. You'd be told that they will not give you a to go box since that is reserved for carry out customers. So I go there, pay them a 15% tip for basically no service - since you eat out of styrofoam utensils using plastic ware that you self serve anyways - and I get argued with for a to go box? They'd rather you get the heck out of the restaurant. Alright. Got the message. Not going back. Going out for quick lunch on a Sunday afternoon with my family and friends, who went to Qdoba, next door. I, loving Indian food, decided to give this place a try and get a quick curry with naan. (By 'quick', I assumed they would be since they advertise themselves as an "Indian Fast Food") As i came in, i noticed the restaurant was quite spacious inside, bigger than i anticipated walking in or maybe it just looked that way because there were only a couple seated parties already eating. A woman before me just completed her order and was seated at the table waiting. I came in, saw the buffet style curry and knew i would be served fast seeing all i needed prepared was the naan. I was antsy to order and go because i knew my family was eating next door. I very quickly ordered, tipped 20% (because i'm always optimistic that service will be great) and began to wait with my 2 yr old daughter, who is your typical toddler unable to stay still for a solid minute. The woman who ordered before me received her order and left. As i waited, i noticed more and more people entering the restaurant, before i knew it, there was about 10+ parties with only a few tables left to fill. 20min in and still no naan! I was very anxious and tried to remain calm, avoiding going up to ask what's taking so long, until my husband came in and tried to rush me. He took my daughter with him so she can enjoy what's left of a "quick" lunch by interacting with her cousins next door. I sat there at this point really annoyed and trying to make eye contact with the people behind the counter, which of course they pretended like they didn't notice me with my burning glare. 5min longer and still nothing... what really ticked me off, is while i waited, people were being served all around me! There were multiple parties who came 5-10min AFTER me who received their NAANS & dishes that appeared like they require a lot more attention than my 5min fix. I was trying to justify why they weren't giving me my food or making it a higher priority, but there was nothing i could see passed our skin color. YES, you read it right, SKIN. I don't ever pull the race card out, EVER. However, there was no other explanation for this horrible indifference towards me. Unless I can be convinced by CHAAT house of another reason for this delay, it was very obvious that they put me on the back-burner because I came in WHITE. I was the only non-Indian and the only one waiting 30+min for a dam naan. lol After waiting for 30min in this INDIAN FAST FOOD, I made my way to the front to ask what the hold up was. The guy acted like there was no rush to get me my food and was like "it'll be another 2min" I was so appalled at his entire demeanor, I responded with a "I'll be next door" and left. At Qdoba, I sat with my family as they were finishing up their food, 5min in, I told my husband I can't possibly go back there because I was so upset with their service, (if I was to back, I'd probably be demanding my refund). My husband went to retrieve my food and was gone for another 5-7min, before I got up and followed him in there. I saw him waiting next to the cashier and he gave me a 'look' that was pretty much telling me to stay calm and not cause a scene. He didn't yet have my food, basically they also told "2 more min" and he spent another 5min standing there after that. SURPRISE! After 40+min of waiting and a lot of emotional disturbance, I got my food! It was bleh, NAAN was good and fresh, the Paneer Curry was disgusting (he said it was a popular, must be some horrible options, please try Mayuri for a better recipe). I'm shocked they were so unapologetic and didn't throw a refund at me, after this experience. HOT TIP: I hate this place and would advise white people to hold back on giving their money to this organization. read more

I clearly specified while placing the order that the food must not be spicy yet the spice level was much more than even normal amount and the owner told me that he can admit that only "indo-Chinese" dishes could have been overly spicy and that he would refund for those items . He was completely unapologetic despite ruining my event, none of my guests were able to eat their crap and I got my much anticipated acid reflux for which I asked them to keep spice low. Absolutely amazing! I grew up in Seattle with a Panjabi Bhabi who makes amazing paratas. These are the stuffed flat bread that comes with yogurt and pickle. I was very spoiled with these home made paratas. I have now relocated to LA and cannot find good stuffed paratas anywhere. My brother lives in Bothell and we went to Chaat house for dinner. The paratas were not only huge and very well done....they were stuffed! All other places we have tried paratas, they barely have anything in them. Its like eating a plain roti. But here...WOW! So stuffed, huge, well made, and beyond tasty. Thank you so much!! The other snacks we Tories were very well made too! We tried the pav bhaji which was spicy and the bread was soft but had the distinct Bombay feel to it. read more

I just moved a block away and decided to check this place since I'm a vegetarian. The employee there was very helpful on explaining some of the dishes and what to order for 1st timers. For around $12 I purchased combo #1 which came with TONS of food. The flavor profile was there and the naan bread was delicious and plenty full. I'll go back to try something new and maybe not a combo. Too much food for one person. FYI. I didn't give it a 5 star because the "salad" give you is literally 5 pieces of romaine lettuce and some veggies. A waste of space. read more

One of the items we like at this restaurant is Bature and mostly for to go order. Most other food items are just okay or bad. Most items come with chole but it is not much tasty. For last couple of times, we tried to dine in and that was a mistake. I wouldn't recommend them for dine in. There was a gap for over 20-25 minutes from 1st item delivery to the last. Even then, had to ask for the missing item. That is not all, when asked to provide all items at once (or close enough). His very rude response was, hey you just ordered 10 min back, it will take a lot more time for rest of the items. I said even if order is delayed is ok but deliver all items close to each other.
