All the meat here is Halal which was a nice surprise! I got a vegetable vindaloo, chicken momos, potato naan and two mango lassi (one to go). Eh...I went here once and it wasn't really anything special. The tikka masala and butter chicken weren't anything unique. I felt one of them had too much tomato and not enough cream in flavor. The portions we were given are rather small. The samosas are large, but we only receive like 3 along with the tikka masala, butter chicken, and rice. For the cost...it definitely was not worth it. A lunch buffet restaurant is cheaper and worth my money. read more

Delivery review In short I've always had a sneaking suspicion that this place was at least pretty good, and I finally got around to checking it out thanks to one of the delivery apps. Great spicy food with big flavors. In long I don't know much about the different culinary traditions around south Asia, but it seems like every time I check out a place with lots of Indian dishes that proudly proclaims another region on its menu, it's a great experience. To my naive eyes, quite a bit of this menu seemed like Indian food, but they definitely have other stuff going on. I got lamb korma at top spice levels, and it was actually enough to get a little shine of perspiration going on my big bald head. Great flavors, too--rich seasoning, nice tender meat, plenty of crunchy almond slices and a bit of veg. Rice was tender and exactly moist enough. The garlic naan had great chew and tons of bright garlic flavor. Prices here are good, and food was ready fast. Will definitely be checking this place out some more. read more

We went with a friend for the first time for supper. We were greeted with a friendly smile and seated right away. We ordered 4 different dishes and some Naan and shared all of it. It was great and flavorful. The service was high level but not intrusive and always professional and polite. I wish that I had taken some photos, but know that we will be back. First time back since relocating to Denver. Surina provided excellent service and food was wonderful, once I asked for the correct meat. I like my Saag with dark meat chicken, and miscommunicated to Surina. She was able to correct my miscommunication and I enjoyed a delightful meal. I've seen this place mentioned and come up a few times over the past four years after moving in vicinity to it. I happened to be at a taproom a few doors down and the food options there didn't really excite me. The Everest Kitchen was busy with take-outs and pick-ups. I ordered food for pick-up and waited less than 30 minutes on a Friday evening. We ordered the mango curry with lamb, garlic naan and the vegetable samosas. The mango curry was delicious and was perfect with the lamb. The samosas has a spicy kick which took us by surprise. They are also pretty large and was quite filling. I'm glad we didn't order a second entre. Now that I'm reading other reviews, I think I need to try their chicken momos sometimes. read more

Delicious flavors especially with paneer! We go for lunch regularly but recently ordered Everest kitchen cuisine for a small celebration we hosted. The guests included folks who had never tasted this food before so we stayed with mild spice for the butter chicken and saag paneer. The samosas had a little kick for those who enjoy more spice. I tried ordering Thupka with 5/5 spicy level but the waiter advised against that. So I did 4/5. And oh boy so disappointed - it was not hot. Nothing like Thupka I have tasted back in India. This place is truly a hidden gem where you can get delicious Nepalese and Indian food. The Everest Kitchen is our favorite take out place for a busy weeknight and the quality of food is always the same! This time I was able to dine in after many years and WOW it was so good! First time trying the momos, they are so fresh and full of flavor. The tandoori chicken was sizzling hot and is finger licking good. Good food, terrible service: I've ordered from Everest Kitchen nearly a dozen times, half dine-in, half takeout, and the experience is consistently disappointing. This place is chronically understaffed, and it shows. Wait times are often double what they promise, and order accuracy is a gamble: missing items, wrong orders, or occasionally getting it right by luck. Tonight was the breaking point: on August 20, 2025, we placed a $100 takeout order for a family of five at 5:45 PM. By 7:00 PM, it still wasn't ready. Sadly, this isn't rare, it's the norm. Everest Kitchen has the demand and revenue to hire more staff and fix these issues. Until they do, expect long delays, poor service, and frustration. Great food doesn't matter if the experience is this bad. read more

The ambiance was quite dull, and the service was just average--staff didn't seem particularly engaged or interested. We ordered the veg momo, and it tasted exactly like the ones from Indian-Nepali Kitchen in Seattle, so honestly, it didn't feel worth the trip all the way to Forest Lake. The chicken momos are delicious! Love the sauce they come with, and the momos themselves are cooked perfectly. The chai is also wonderful. They serve the real deal, not the overly sugary Americanized stuff that most coffee shops have. We came at 5:20 pm on a Saturday evening so there was only 1 other table and a few patrons waiting for their to-go orders. No staff was in sight so I went over to the register and found 2 women packing to-go orders. One of them (Pabi according to our receipt) showed us to our table and gave us 3 menus. She returned shortly to take our orders. It always makes me nervous when a server does not write things down. We ordered 4 vegetable samosas, mango curry with chicken, Tikka Masala with shrimp, Chicken momos, and plain naan. She clarified "did you want garlic or plain naan?" Plain we repeated. When our food arrived, we noticed the Tikka Masala shrimp was tasteless; none of us have had enough Tikka Masala to know something was off. Our naan was the last to arrive.....garlic naan. We were too hungry to send it back. Overall, the food was ok. However, the restaurant was so uncomfortably warm inside that sweat dripped down the side of my head. We asked for low spice so it was definitely not from that. It seemed like they had the heater on. As it got later, the restaurant was bombarded with to-go orders. When our check came (see pic), we noticed we got coconut curry instead of Tikka Masala. Our bill came to about $80 for a party of 3. Slightly annoyed that our serve got 2 out of 5 items wrong, I went up to the registered, told her the errors, and suggested that she write down orders in the future. All she said was "ok". Is giving 0 stars possible? Negative stars? Extremely disappointed with this place. First off, the drink menu wasn't correct at all as they were out of almost everything. They had to literally tell us the three only drinks available because what we kept asking for wasn't available. Then we place our order, starting with an appetizer. We get our drinks in a few minutes, no problem. But then we wait almost AN HOUR for our food to come out. I timed it and it literally was 55 minutes. Did our appetizers come out though? No. We were given our meals and not even asked about appetizers. Ten minutes later I get the server's attention and we say we didn't get the appetizer. Ten more minutes goes by - mind you we're well over an hour since ordering at this point. A different server all together comes and asks about the appetizer if we've received it, at this point I say no we didn't, just cancel it. We finish eating our meal, which was okay, but not great by any means. When we finish eating we try asking for containers to go, but can't seem to get the attention of our server at all. He finally stops by and asks if we're done and we ask for to go containers. He then proceeds to seat other parties, clean tables, and give containers to other tables. We waited 15 minutes and then I got up and got to go containers myself. We never got our check either so after packing up our food I go up to the checkout and they offer no apology for the wait and don't offer a discount or anything. I find it hard to leave even anything as a tip, but I do anyways. What am absolutely infuriating experience. I will never return here. I heard several other people say they were waiting almost an hour as well. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never recommend this place to anyone. If you're that busy, learn to stop online orders, or stop seating people and let them know there will be a wait. At no point we're we told there would be a wait. Nor were we checked on at any point during our visit unless we specifically asked for the waiter. Terrible. read more

very good food. very slow service. this was our very first-time visit on a saturday at not quite 2 o'clock for a late lunch. one table with two diners, one server, and us. we decided on a light meal of soups and naan. the servings were generous and i would return just to eat the naan. Dal: thinner than other dal (soup) i've had, but it turned out to be filling and very flavorful served in a giant bowl. Qwati soup: another giant bowl serving. there were plenty of lentils that were soft but not mushed up. the flavor was mildly reminiscent of tumeric and curry. no additional salt or other seasonings were needed. this soup was even more filling that the Dal. the soup servings were very generous. these soups could easily serve 2 or 3 when served with other shared dishes. Garlic Naan: this is not the giant, thick, yet fluffy naan i am used to. this naan is smaller, crispy, with plenty of the flavorful burn spots and covered with the minced garlic and basted lightly with ghee. this is a very delicious naan. after we finally placed our order it was over 30 minutes for the soup and naan to arrive at our table. we were pleased everything arrived piping hot, but over 30 minutes for soup and naan seemed very slow. we never saw our server after she delivered our food and refilled my water glass at my request. another employee came in during our lunch but disappeared into the back. we waited for the check to be delivered to our table as the other table, but no one ever "checked" on us. i helped myself to the carry-out boxes lined up on the now unused buffet tabel. on my way to the restroom, our server was eating behind a screen and chatting with the newly arrived employee. my dining partner walked up to the register, our server took her plate further into the kitchen and never came back, and the new employee rang us up and seated newly arrived diners. maybe it was a shift change mix-up. i don't care. our server ignored us. 4 stars because of the food quality. service 1 star. = 3 stars overalll rating yes, i will return for the food if i am in the neighborhood but i'll make sure not to be hungry and have nowhere else to go after dining. total time from seated to paying: about 1h. 30 min read more

This restaurant is insanely good, when we can't decide to eat, we go here. The best food for me there is the Nan bread, plain rice, and buttered chicken. The food is really easy to grab, we order from home and the food is done in 20 mins or less, so great service! I've dined in only once or twice since my last review 7 years ago, but have gotten takeout many many times over the years, either for small gatherings at home or family dinner take-out (especially when bored/tired of cooking during the pandemic). Sometimes I have made the homemade curries and samosas myself at home, and just ordered the more time-intensive appetizers (pakoras) and naan to round out the meal. So this review is for take-out only, most specifically for a thank-you meal I served for my friend and her son last fall (Nov 2023). I ordered a couple of apps (chicken momos, keema and vegetarian samosa), and a couple of mains (paneer butter curry and tandoori shrimp), rounded out with a few plain naans and extra rice. I have found the quality at EK has gone downhill over the years. For example the chicken meat in their curries is rubbery and overcooked and not good quality (I noted their cheap meat quality as an issue in my first review, and it unfortunately has not improved and just getting worse) which is why I swapped over to paneer anytime the butter curry cravings hit me! I've also come to realize that it seems they use food dye in some of their curries. As the food became more and more disappointing, I struggled to find an Indian restaurant conveniently located to me, which is why I continued to occasionally order takeout. On this particular occasion, I was also quite disappointed with the taste and quality of the tandoori shrimp (not something I typically order) but wonder if that is something that just doesn't travel well- in all fairness I'd have to try it while dining in. However, given the more frequent disappointments, in the future I plan to take my Indian cravings to another neighborhood place that I just discovered and makes EK feel like a waste of my money! read more

I love Tikka Masala! Add just the mushrooms & peas & I am in heaven! Today we ordered mango lassis, pakora, garlic naan, and the mushroom masala. It was perfect! Basmati Rice comes with the masala. Husband wanted the Korma but we decided we would order that the next time we come here to eat. Was a little surprised that the restaurant was not crowded. Last time we ate here was pre-pandemic and it was really crowded. I think slowly people are starting to venture out. This is probably one of the better places to go. The food was good. Service was disappointing. I came in hungry. I was seated at a table where I could see the kitchen window. So I could see food coming out of the kitchen. A nice couple was seated to my right, I could see that they were waiting on food. About 20 minutes pass I have yet to place my order. However, part of the order arrives for this other table. Now it appears to be lunch time for the young cook. He takes his meal right in my eyesight into the kitchen delivery window. What I witness, is one of the cooks or the only cook, choosing to eat food in the takeout window. I do not begrudge him a meal, but I would like to be served before his 25 minute meal. He takes his time. He seems to enjoy his food, a good sign. No food comes out of the kitchen during his meal. My server, an older gentleman, takes this time to set up takeout boxes for delivery. He did not approach me during this time. After his 25 minutes lunch, the other table is served some of their orders. A couple come in and place their orders. Now I have been waiting one hour. The couple that came in 35 minutes after me, are served their food. About 15 minutes later, comes my goat curry. Very good, but appears to have sat for a while, as there is a skin on the curry. It is also much hotter in spices than I requested. You think I'm going to send it back? I felt fortunate to even get my food. Liked their food, but service was dismal. read more

Second time, the service was very slow but the food was good and they were apologetic. This time, however, the service was just horrible. We've been sitting here for over an hour and we only just got our appetizers. The waitstaff is not rude so much as just clueless. And this time the food was awful. Bishel was very communicative in coordinating our event, recommending dishes for our dinner spread, and ensuring that all of our guests were happy and well fed. The service was great given our around 20 guests, and the food was even better. We also appreciate how our request for low spice levels was handled (we don't have a high tolerance for spice) as everything was still delicious!
