    Buffet rules, time, price

Came for weekday lunch buffet. The man at the counter was helping someone check out but told me to just sit anywhere and I could start grabbing food. It wasn't too busy but I also came at 2pm, an hour before the buffet ended. I don't know if there's a time limit, there's nothing on the sign that says so. I was there for about 30 minutes before I got too full. The food was great I think the rice was cooked perfectly and the selection was enough to keep me happy. I had all their curries and I don't have a complaint about any of the food! I mixed their mango custard with the rice pudding and that was great. The mango custard by itself was also great. I only took off a star because it wasn't the cleanest place. There was a dirty table in front of me for probably 20 minutes. There were some flies inside which is interesting because they have two doors in the entrance like how did they get there. But I would come back because the food and the price were good. By the way, there is an extra charge if you pay with a card!

Very kind people. A decent variety of food and quite tasty. My favorites were the curry chicken and the tandoori chicken. The price is very reasonable and the restaurant was clean. Recommend!

checked out this place for their lunch buffet. had great variety of dishes from butter chicken to paneer masala. great place if you want a variety of flavors without having to commit to a full dish.

Always have great customer service, would like to note, never got sick from eating the buffet (weekly) while I was pregnant!

I had dinner a little past 5 here. Restaurant was over half full by the time I left. Waiter was top notch, very friendly & helpful. The food I had tasted very good. Not a fancy restaurant but very clean. They have music playing off a tv in the background. I would go back to try more dishes. 5 Stars easily.

Lunch buffet on Saturday is fair enough. Saag , butter chicken, fish pokara, veg pokara, jeera rice, paneer are good. Good work. It has bar also and small party place.

    Delicious!

Very fresh tasty food! I appreciate quality fresh food especially in a restaurant. So glad I found this place. 100% recommended.

As I'm not from their culture I cannot say with certainty it is authentic but the food was certainly delicious. If you're looking for modern and shiny, this place isn't for you. They are going through renovations but it's obviously not an establish trying to impress by interior designs, but through your stomach. Everything was well seasoned. The garlic naan was perfect thinness. The samosa chaat was delicious. The chicken Biryani was one of the best I've had. This place exceeded my expectations.

We ordered their chicken seekh kebab and goat biryani along with dum chai. The seekh kebab was flavorful but ive certainly had better. The goat biryani was delicious and the goat pieces would melt in your mouth and it was perfectly marinated meat. I ordered their dum chai but I guess I got the regular chai which tasted a little watered down but was still decent not bad. Now I will give them 10/10 for their service. So we had asked for spicy goat biryani but apparently they messed it up and made regular so the person stopped by informed us and said they are remaking the spicy goat biryani and would like to compensate for this slow service by offering dessert on the house. While it was not needed, it was certainly appreciated. They got us rasmalai which was good. I have been here before and felt the food during my prior visits was a tad bit better as compared to today. All in all good food, pocket friendly and great service. The ambience is basic and they have ample parking atleast at night. Would recommend if in the area.

The owner is super nice, and on my recent visit had a insightful conversation. I learnt that it's run by a family with a rich legacy in restaurant operations in Pakistan (Islamabad), the recipes and traditions have been passed down through generations. Women from the family are running the show inside tajmahal's kitchen, ensuring every dish carries the warmth of home cooking. With hand-slaughtered Zabiha Halal meat, strict use of premium desi ghee, and avocado oil in place of regular cooking oil, use of premium meat instead of lean Americanized chunk meats, every detail reflects their commitment to authenticity and quality. What I Tried Beef Nihari A showstopper! Rich, flavorful, and cooked in ghee with bone marrow, the tender meat melted in my mouth. One of the best Niharis i had for a long time. Perfectly spiced and an absolute must-try. Makhni Lamb Karahi Creamy, aromatic, and indulgent. The lamb had a delightful richness from chunks of fat, and desi ghee. One suggestion to them: make the meat slightly more tender and the dish would elevate to next level. Lahori Chicken Karahi Super tender chicken in a beautifully balanced, not overly tangy gravy, delicious. A bit more spice would have been ideal for me personally, but I guess it's customizable. Lahori Chole Flavor-packed chickpeas that retained their shape yet melted in the mouth--anything but bland. Pulao Fluffy, nicely cooked rice in broth, though a touch heavy on cinnamon caused a little bitterness. i hope that's not a regular thing. Btw, pulao is their default rice. Naan & Kulcha Not the best i ever had. but good accompaniments, soft and warm. Firni Sticky, milky, and caramel-like, served cold--a sweet, delicious satisfying finish. Final thoughts: i think i can skip vancouver trips for nihari and karahi. amounts are generous. With plans to expand the menu, it's a must-visit for lovers of authentic Pakistani cuisine.

Delivery review In…read moreshort Wonderful food, wonderful flavors. Lots of goat, beef, and lamb. The menu isn't the longest, at least online, but what's here is excellent and worth repeats. In long It sounds like this is Pakistani, rather than Indian. It probably makes sense to list it under Indian, too, since people will be in the mood for this if they're in the mood for Indian, but you can definitely tell you're not eating the same stuff, and it's definitely not Americanized. The flavors are much bigger and stronger than typical American food. One caveat: We had the slowest driver ever, and we're already some distance from the place. So through no fault whatsoever of theirs, I'm very much wanting to try all these things fresh and hot. Beef Samosa Big airy pockets with thin but chewy crust. Nice warm seasonings inside, plenty of flavor. Ground chuck is most of the filling. Dahi Bhalla Cool yogurt with tons of savory seasonings all over the place, still very much in harmony. Nice fluffy lentil fritters under the sauce. Really good, very unexpected with how many different flavors you get in the sauce. Chilli Onion Masala Naan Nice chewy naan, big tangy hot flavors on top. Tons of toppings compared to most naan I've ordered anywhere else, closer to what we might think of as a flatbread. Delicious. Beef Haleem Serious comfort food that comforts you in ways you just haven't been. Tons of seasonings, huge flavors (this is very much a theme with these dishes). I thought I was fully adventurous in my dining but all these flavors make me feel like I've been sheltering my palate way too much. Mixed Pickle Always nice to add this to an order. Not too crazy new and different; we always have a jar of this in the fridge. Delicious for sure. This whole meal really made me sit up and take notice of what I was eating. I'm so looking forward to leftovers tonight.

Hey whatever, this was his second visit to Seattle, essentially my stance is do what you need to do. He called the restaurant a number of times to inquire about menu items over the course of his stay. Me, I would have just showed up with my feed me mindset. Finally, on 6/21/19 (yeah over a year ago) we finally ended up at the restaurant. Remember how Meg Ryan's character from When Harry Met Sally orders in a restaurant? Well here it played out in Urdu. Oh the brief and not so subtle visual and body language signals from the kitchen staff and our wait person. Just typing this now, I'm smirking and visuals fly by, lmao. It's rare for me to have someone order an entire meal without my input, but this was best to sit back and just wait and see. Eventually a variety of dishes start appearing, see attached photos. They were tasty but nothing overly remarkable compared my usual go to in Greenwood. The date shake was novel though. I still cannot believe the volume of food ordered. I remember just having a modest amount to be polite. The restaurant itself at the time went through an interior refresh. While seated, I observed a healthy traffic of takeout preCovid-19. And eventually towards, the end of this meal, additional customers came in to be seated. I frequent Capitol Hill, both preCovid-19 and during the pandemic restrictions. It is good to see they remain in business even after a year of me driving or walking past. Maybe, just maybe, I'll return and see what the big deal is about any of the bone-in goat entrees that wasn't available back then.

(Oftentimes, publishers loop Indian and Pakistani cuisine into the same category.) Before we get into the food, I must praise their fully covered seating area that houses five tables. Even in the rain and wind, you can enjoy your meal in a completely sheltered space! Any Washingtonian knows how important this is, especially during the wet months. Three of us arrived for lunch around noon and it was surprisingly quiet. No one else was by the truck nor at the neighboring Tikka Masala restaurant. One employee manned the truck, graciously welcomed us and we chatted with him briefly about the menu. He informed us of the most popular items and mentioned his favorite, "The Boti To My Roti" (chicken wrap). I was so close to ordering the "A Bihari Affair" (beef wrap), but when he said that was too spicy for him, that told me all I needed to hear. I wasn't going to take any chances, haha. Our order took about 20 minutes to prepare, which is pretty long considering we were the only customers. However, I had read about the wait times in other reviews and the one guy was cooking everything by himself, so I didn't mind hanging out for a bit. + BOTI TO MY ROTI ($12.95): Pieces of marinated chicken and slices of pickled onion rolled up in a roti flatbread. The chicken was lean and super tender, with a slight smoky flavor, and covered in what seemed to be a garlicky yogurt sauce with Indian spices. It had a mild spice and I liked the slight tartness from the onion. The roti was light and was a great vessel for the saucy filling. + CHIPAS ($5.95): This side of fries was deliciously seasoned and drizzled in a garlic mayo. They were hot and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. + EK DUM KARAK ($3.85): A piping hot cup of chai tea served with a biscuit. This was such a comforting drink on a cold day. The menu stated it's extra strong, which I didn't quite notice while drinking, but I did feel a little jittery later in the day. The biscuit was like a lighter and crispier version of a biscotti and nice to dip in the chai. Their menu also features various types of burgers and I hear they also serve a weekend brunch. My main qualm is just that the pricing is on the steeper side for their burgers and wraps, which are at least $12.95 each. All together, three of us got two rotis, one burger, one side of fries and two chai teas, totaling $53! My roti wrap was enough for me, but I think the average person would still be hungry after eating only that. Pakistani eateries are not abundant at all on the Eastside, so I'd still recommend giving Lari Adda a try if you're looking for something new and unique.
