Came back here because I was craving Indian food and my experience here was still great! The food was AMAZING. The sauce of the butter chicken was so flavorful and creamy and the chicken was pretty tender and delicious. The naan was nice and fluffy and I love the sauce that the restaurant gives us. The service was good. The food didn't take long to make and I'd say the pricing is fair compared to other places. The ambiance is nice! I had a great experience at Red Chilly Restaurant. I ordered the coconut curry with plain naan and it was delicious. The curry had the perfect level of spice and was incredibly flavorful. The coconut added a nice savory richness that really tied all the flavors together. The naan was also really good--crispy on the outside, not too thick, and exactly how I prefer it. It paired really well with the curry. The pricing was reasonable and didn't feel overly expensive for the quality of the food. Service was great as well. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, checked in occasionally, and made sure our waters were always refilled. I don't get Indian food that much so my expectations were low. But I was pleasantly surprised! I ended up getting something that I never tried before which was Jalfrazie. The curry did a good job of providing a good savory flavor. I got chicken as my meat, and it was cooked well. The naan bread was delicious! Me and my friends were sat down immediately and the servers were attentive of our table, making sure to do things like topping off water and asking if things were good. The place is actually pretty sizable and the tables are spread far enough apart to not feel cramped. Overall a great Indian spot in the Everett area. read more

Absolutely excellent food! Everything was done perfectly. All the different types of naans indicated to me that they knew their business. We had Vindaloo, Chx Pakoras, Red Chilly Naan, Garlic Naan, and Chx Korma. The pakora condiments tasted freshly made, the naan were BIG and really excellent. Their 4 was perfect. On my first visit I tried the Mediterranean Cuisine, but now I find myself getting the Indian. I really enjoy that the menu has options for both. Its good if you are not entirely sure what you are in the mood for or if you are in the mood for something different from your dining partner. One day I hope to visit and eat a little off each menu section. Lately my friend and I have been coming for lunch. It's never too crowded and we can get in and out with the time we have allowed. Plus the service is always great and we never have empty water glasses. They have a lunch special where if you order 2 meals off the lunch menu you get free naan. We find this to be really great, because we absolutely love the mint and cilantro chutney that they bring with the naan. The lunch special also comes with rice, I get so annoyed at places where you have to buy an expensive Indian food meal and then pay extra for rice. It is also nice that the servings of everything are still large so that we have some to bring home. Another thing I really like about this place is that they have tofu as a protein option, I really do not know why other places do not do this. Parking can be a teeny bit tricky, there's lots around, but it is often full, you may have to circle the block a few times. We plan to keep this in our lunch rotation. It was okay. Went in for dinner on a Tuesday and I was the only one seated up until I was ready to leave. Service, not unfriendly but not really friendly. Mostly just courier deliveries and pick ups with someone running the till. Shahi lamb korma... I'm serious when I say my reaction was "oh, this is what Sysco food tastes like with Indian spices." There was an attempt, and I got the faint powdered ginger, some toast on the cumin and coriander - but I just couldn't get over the fact it was added flavor to a thick brown gravy sauce. So weird. I put a spoonful over the rice and it just stayed on top. Never seen that before. At least the lamb wasn't overcooked and it was very mild for "medium." Seattle medium? ;-) But I appreciate them cooking a spinach naan with garlic on it. I did really enjoy that. In a pinch or had a serious craving, I would go here again but I won't consider it a stand-by. read more

Spectacular food, great atmosphere and yummy food!! This little place is really conveniently located -- right across from Historic Everett Theater. Just one warning, the food is so beautiful and delicious that you will wonder why you didn't try it sooner. We ordered appetizers, Naan and some delish entrees. The food was so amazing that I dug right in and forgot to take pics, except for the Pakooras. When I came previously, I took a pic of the wonderful curry that I didn't post. The service was understated and very prompt. We never had an empty water glass, and the wait staff was very accommodating. The portions are plentiful and did I mention the flavor was FABULOUS. Hmmm, we went in there thinking it's a full on Indian restaurant, but checking the menu, found that they also do Mediterranean dishes. Ok, that's usually not a good thing, cause doing two different cuisines really really well... that's rare. I unfortunately was right, we ordered one Tikka masala and one chicken shish kabob. Well the mediterranen dish turned out good, meat was flavored well and the salad had a good dressing. The Tikka was a huge disappointment, not much depth, all tomato sauce, rice had no spices (probably so it can also go with the mediterranenen dishes) and the garlic naan didn't have much garlic at all. So it's a ok for me, might be better to get mediterranenen dishes when you go there. read more

I honestly don't know how I managed to miss reviewing Red Chilly, considering I've eaten here about five times already. Maybe I was just too busy stuffing my face with garlic naan. Anyway, better late than never--now I get to gush about how much I love this place! I've ordered a different entrée every time because variety is the spice of life, and let me tell you, Red Chilly delivers on the spice. Not a single dish has disappointed me. And when I say 'spice,' I mean actual spice--not the kind that gets downgraded to 'mild' the second a waiter senses you don't live for chili peppers. I'm talking real heat. When I order a level 5, they actually take it seriously. I mean, if I'm going to cry from spice, I want to *feel* it, you know? The service? Let's just say if you so much as *think* about finishing your water, they're already there refilling it. I've never felt so hydrated in my life. I was here to attend an art festival and was late for lunch. Every other place was closed but luckily they were open. It was crowded with the folks who came from out of town for this art festival. The server was really nice who greeted us and gave us the menu to look at. We ordered the appetizer dolma and the main course was curry chicken and naan and since it was too cold outside weather wise we ordered masala chai as well. The food was delicious and we were hungry too. It's a small space but well kept and great service as they checked if we needed anything. One thing we missed is to check what comes with each order. We were expecting naan and chicken curry but the order came with rice and extra naan which became like a challenge for us to finish between two people. Since we were living in a hotel and evening dinner was planned by the event planners we couldn't take the food as a takeout. So just a reminder to make sure what each item comes with the order is important. This is the only Indian restaurant in that area so if you're looking for specifically Indian food then I highly recommend this place. read more

Driving south from Anacortes to Tacoma- stopped in Everett for dinner. My daughter and I love Indian- Red Chilly has some great reviews. Red Chilly is located right downtown- small restaurant, and it wasn't too busy. Service was quick and friendly!! The food is outstanding!! Some of the best Indian I've had in Washington State. We ordered a ton of food- garlic naan, butter chicken, tikka masala, spinach paneer naan, samosa chaat- all beyond amazing!! It would have been smarter and much, much, much cheaper to get an Indian dinner from Trader Joe's; both for value and flavor. We finally caved the other night and ordered in, just to start satisfying the curiosity. So this is a delivery review. Bombay Tandoori Chicken Wings You can skip these. They're obviously pre-cooked, and they're pretty mushy, especially the skin. Great seasonings, though. Even when they cut corners, these folks still give you awesome flavors. I ate every bite even without liking the texture at all. Grape Leaves Nothing too new and different here, but they were great fresh outta the bag and also 2 days later out of the fridge. Onion Kulcha Soft, chewy, full of flavor. I could easily order this every time I'm eating their food. Baigan Bhartha This is a go-to dish to check out places with Indian on the menu, and they fully come through with this one. Cooked until soft but not to mush, tons of flavor. Big thanks to places that make perfect jasmine rice, even though my diet doesn't need that particular temptation. Theirs is awesome. Raita Big savory flavors with some tanginess to it as well. Great fresh and great the next day, too, when worked into a dressing for vegetable salad. Madras Chili Masala Maybe the star of the show for me. Good-size chunks of chicken with great texture and a huge flavorful sauce over everything. Tons of big earthy smokey hot red peppers left whole. Delicious food at reasonable prices! I came by here for a work lunch with visiting teammates who were craving Indian food. We were seated immediately and given menus, both a regular and a specials. The specials are absolutely worth purchasing - there are numerous options at low prices, and they even provided a free naan when two entrees are purchased! As there were multiple people at our table, we didn't need to order any naans as the free ones were enough. I decided to get the chicken jalfrezi, and it came with a small pot of rice. The jalfrezi was flavorful without being too spicy, and the chicken was tender and juicy. The rice combination made the meal extremely filling, and I ended up having an entire meal's worth of food left over for dinner! This is only the second time in my life that I've ever had Indian food. After this experience, I question why I don't have it more often! We had a group of 13 and they were able to accommodate and serve quickly to us during lunch hour. I ordered the chicken chili with mild spicy. It was delicious. Crazy good food located in a cute, long, rectangular storefront in downtown Everett. I found out about Red Chilly during an online search for something unrelated and immediately knew I wanted to give it a try. Everett is pretty lucky to have several great Indian and Mediterranean restaurants, but Red Chilly combines both cultures. It's not a fusion restaurant. Instead you'll find a selection from both regions. We had the hummus and pita, vegetable cutlets, a pillowy garlic naan, creamy chicken korma, and ras malai for dessert. The veggie cutlets were perfectly golden brown, well salted, crunchy on the outside and soft and dense on the inside. There was a generous helping of hummus (there's a lot--ask for extra pitas!), a velvety korma sauce, and plenty of rice provided. The garlic naan was one of the BEST I've ever had. The ras malai was also good but next time I will try the kheer or another kind of dessert. They've only been open for two weeks (as of 11/20/22). Service was friendly and relatively fast. I hope they get plenty of support from the community. Give them a try. Ask questions if you're unsure of anything on the menu. And above all, try something new and enjoy! read more

DELICIOUS! This was our first visit and we are really glad we found it. The atmosphere was pleasant and not stuffy. The prices were reasonable with options for many of the dishes according to inclusion of various meats. Friendly, attentive service made us very comfortable. Anything on the menu would adapt well to takeout. We had chicken vindaloo and lamb rogan josh, (both excellent curries) with paneer and garlic nans. The curries came with perfect basmati rice.
