They are very inconsistent in briyani, I always order the same briyani for my kids and every alternate order has some issue in my last order missed they gave me a different briyani and in my latest order there were hair in it and not a single but the bunch. And it's very hard for pick up order as you open at ur home and my home is 15 mins away. Final verdict "it's not hard to became a champion, but it's hard to remain a champion " bye-bye biryani house.

Loved the food here. If you are looking for spicy South Indian food, this place shall be satisfying. We ordered chicken pepper fry, chicken 65, cut mirchi, bazewada biryani (spicy and non spicy), Gongura chicken biryani - All the items tasted super. Wanted to try their irani chai but was ove, better luck next time! Quick and friendly service, the place has good decor, the wooden finished use and throw cutlery was good

    Goat Dum Biryani

Overall, not much to complain about here--everything we tried was solid. We started with an order of samosas, which were impressively large and filling. They had a satisfying crunch, and the flavorful filling made them a standout appetizer. Honestly, these could be a meal on their own, and I'd definitely order them again. The garlic naan was thin but packed with a strong buttery flavor. It worked perfectly as a vessel for the butter chicken sauce we dipped it into. We also tried the goat dum biryani, one of their most popular dishes. The portion of rice was huge--almost overwhelming--but hidden within were delicious pieces of goat. I appreciated the goat's chewy texture, though the sauce provided wasn't nearly enough to balance out all that rice. We visited on a Saturday lunch and noticed that the dining area was pretty empty, with most people opting for takeout. It makes sense--they charge for bottled water and serve food on disposable plates, which detracts a bit from the dine-in experience. Next time, I'd go for takeout too.

First time in and we will not be back. It is conveniently located on Bothell-Everett Hwy, but the staff are inattentive/completely ignored us, most of the food was just not it, and the vibe was a bit off. They DO NOT ACCEPT the 15% discount code for Yelpers who check in, saying that it's owned by new people and that offer was from the last one. The masala tea wasn't flavorful/very thin, and had a lot of gritty bits at the bottom; the veg pakora was mostly batter bits; and the paneer absolutely upset our stomachs (the leftovers confirmed it). The corn soup was pretty good, and the naan exactly as you'd expect.

I was very disappointed tonight with my carry out order. I ordered in person when I arrived there and picked up my order the second it was done and I left home to eat my dinner which was few minutes away. The goat biryani was cold. I mean cold and not even warm. Hardly any goat meat but small pieces that mostly were bones only. The samosas were ok. It was a disappointment. They also did not give me my 10 dollars change back when they told me they will give it back when the food is ready and I forgot about it until I got home.

Mutton kheema biryani - goodness in layers
    Aaron W.

This is our default restaurant for rich, delicious, mouth-tingling Indian cuisine. On the spicy side, I have to introduce some of our old and new favorites :) For the appetizer, mutton fry is our go-to. Aromatic, complex, moist, with a gradual burn you will need a naan or roti to help put out the fire. We had a goat curry which I'm unsure of the name... maybe the Goan Goat Curry. This is a new favorite! Chunks of tender meat, some small bones so be careful. We know that meat nearest to bones are the tastiest! There was adequate gravy to soak up into the naan and roti. Another new favorite discovered: Mutton Kheema Biryani! I love my biryanis and this one was just superb! Served in layers like an Indian lasagna, the richness of this biryani caused my tastebuds to sing like a choir! That was all we do try with just the two of us. Will have to bring the family in again to get more variety. BTW apparently they now have chikoo shakes on the weekends. If you have never tried it, strongly recommended! But know that chikoo is a grainy fruit that is naturally sweet. If you are sensitive to textures, then maybe not.

The food the I received. Looks nothing like the menu. It was rice heavy and the chicken was boring.

If you want to receive the wrong meal 15 minutes later than the person who you are dining with, with piss poor service, and a restaurant who refuses to honor their own Yelp discount, this is the place for you! When we arrived, we could barely get recognized as a restaurant diner because there was so many take out people and companies. Obviously this is a takeout place with the disguise of being a restaurant. I was surprised to have plastic cups for water that never was refilled unless you flagged down someone. The cutlery was wood or bamboo. Not great. My husband got his meal. Later, another employee came to our table. I said that I didn't get my meal. He asked if I wanted it. Seriously? Fifteen minutes later I got my meal and it wasn't what I ordered. They said it was correct. Look at the pictures. No, it wasn't correct. It was so bad. It was a ton of rice with chicken that was filled with cumin. The flavor was so boring. Never was there an apology for the wrong dish or the delay. We waited forever to pay. I checked in on Yelp and for "appreciation" a 15% discount was offered in the app. The restaurant said that they "don't do Yelp" and refused to honor the discount. They are terrible. They rushed around for takeout. In restaurant? Nope. They obviously don't care about those dining in.

    Hyderabad Chicken 65
    Smrithi S.

We have ordered biryani from here a few times now and have been liking it. This week we ordered Hyderabad Chicken Dum Biryani, Bezawada boneless Chicken Biryani, and Warangal Chicken Fry Spicy. We have had Hyderabad Chicken Dum Biryani a few times and liked it everytime. I loved the Warangal Chicken Fry, flavorful and spicy. We have also had their Hyderabad Chicken 65, and Goat curry and liked them both.

    Veg 65 Biryani
    Sahitya M.

The biriyani was an utter disappointment. Tasted so bland. The white rice was mixed with veg 65 and was layered together. That's how we felt about it.It didn't taste good. For a place that serves biriyani as a main item, this isn't what we expected. The only thing we like there was the cut Mirchi chat. The place was pretty busy and if you are falooda enthusiast, this place has it on their menu. The bhendi masala didn't taste good either. Overall not something I would crave for again

Bejawada biryani is really torturous to your tummy. Be cautious! Dum goat biryani was good but mutton was uncooked.

Ask the Community - Royal Biryani House

Are there nuts in the food? I have a severe nut allergy!

Yes few curries do have nuts and few don’t. Please ask the staff when you order so we can get tht taken care of.

If I like spicy and flavorful biryani, which one should I go with?

I would suggest Dhum or Avakaya biryani. Both come in veg and non-veg

I love the music playing in the background, and the Mumbai themed décor is so unique and thoughtfully done. It really adds to the whole experience. Coming to the food, I specifically went for the happy hour chaat platter. I reached around 6:56 PM, and the platter is only available from 5 to 7 PM. Initially, I could not find it on the menu, and our assigned server was different. However, Rohan recognized us from our previous visits and came over. When I mentioned I was there just for the chaat platter, he kindly checked and found the menu for us. He let us know it would take about 20 minutes to prepare, which we were completely fine with. The platter arrived in about 20 to 25 minutes, and it was absolutely worth the wait. Everything from the bhel puri, pav bhaji bites, samosa chaat, to the sandwich was delicious, flavorful, and very satisfying. The chai was also really good. Highly recommend this place for both the vibe and the food. We will definitely keep coming back.

I have visited this place at least half a dozen time in the last year. The service has always been fantastic. Very friendly staffs and they genuinely care about the customers no mater how busy this place is. Always order at the counter and pick up the food later. They offer weekend buffet - with the options they have provided - one of the best value for money buffet available now. There are enough varieties on the offering. Quality was great - food was flavorful as well. I did order ala carte as well. Tried the biriyanis and the indo-chinese options. And their veg & non-veg combo is a real deal. Served with roti, rice, 2 curries and a dessert. It's just $10. Portion is really good, more than enough for one person. That's one of my favorite options on their menu. Their cuisine is very specific. - goat biriyani and goat curry are delicious. I also liked their meat to rice ratio for the chicken biriyani. CONS: - outrageous prices for the amount of food. I ordered goat curry and the size of the container was way small. Giving me an entry sized dish in a side dish container is an immediate issue for me. I paid over 80 worth of food and feel lit was not worth it. The goat curry had a lot of large bones too so that made it worse. I got more bones than meat. - overtly spiced and too salty. I liked their goat dum biriyani but did not like the rest. The biriyani appears to be over spiced that's not completely simmered, cooked down or blended. You're essentially eating straight up spice which is pretty gross. This is a personal preference, I like my dishes spicy but I don't like it overwhelmingly spicy where it overtakes the dish and all you're tasting is uncooked blend of spices that heat up your stomach & hurts digestion. Others may like their dishes as is. I'm not in that boat. - I paid $8 for goat haleem that was given in a tiny sauce container. that was so not worth the money or the dish. Their prices are completely off. I don't recommend this place, my search for decent biriyani from regional places continues. I just went authentic biriyani that tastes good, is reasonably priced, with good meat to rice ratio. It's 2026 people, shouldn't be this hard!

So when the opportunity arose to share a Friday night dinner with family, we opted to try 5 Rivers Indian Cuisine, a family owned and run restaurant in Everett on Evergreen Way near 4th Avenue, specializing in Punjabi and Mediterranean cuisine! They have lots of amazing options to choose from. While nothing is specifically labeled vegan, they do have many vegetarian options I found them to be very accommodating to our vegan dietary needs. I've almost never met a Grape Leaf dish I didn't like so I had to try their version. They did an amazing job with the aesthetics, using a creamy vegan tahini sauce to really bring this dish to that next level. I also ordered Baba Ghannoj. Surprisingly, they advised their pita bread is not vegan but they gladly substituted roti instead, super flavorful and great mix of textures dancing around on the palette. For a main dish, I heard their "Vegetarian Thali" dish calling to me (but thankfully, it didn't call me Seymour .. .. .. ), giving me the opportunity to try a myriad of flavors and combinations. Given that a couple of components weren't vegan, they were graciously able to accommodate .. and provide me with a fully vegan ncombination of (from left to right) Aloo Chana, Dal Maharanji, Aloo Gobi, Basmati Rice and more delicious roti bread. Everything was delicious and super filling, I had to take a lot home with me. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend dropping by to try their flavorful mixture of Punjabi and Mediterranean inspired dishes!
