Garlic Pepper Stir Fry

Great lunch!! Fast service with a dose of motherly love! Good portions at great prices! I enjoyed the garlic pepper chicken stir fry. Full of veggies and served with rice. The Thai salad was also full of chicken and veggies- light and refreshing!

It was a bittersweet experience visiting Cha Thai this time. The staff shared the news that it was their last day under this management, and you could tell they were quite busy handing something, maybe transition. I was sad to hear about the change, as I've enjoyed this place in the past. Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite up to its usual standard- it was just 'okay' this time around. The restaurant was very quiet with only our group inside, and the air conditioning was set so low that it felt quite warm. It's sad to see a spot go through such a big transition. I am not sure what the future holds for this restaurant, but I hope they can find a way to bring back the quality we all loved.

It's good food for a reasonable price and has wonderful service. We came here for Sunday lunch wanting to try a new place (our family has never visited). We wanted to get some Southeast Asian cuisine. We opted for my kids and hubby's favorites: Roti, Tom Yum , and Curry. I opted for my basil stir-fry, which I always enjoy with any type of meat. This place did not disappoint. It's a little westernized Thai flavor, with the added ingredients. But I think it makes it a more filling and delicious meal.

Wanting Thai food for lunch on a late Friday afternoon nearby Dublin and San Ramon, this place pop up. It is located within a shopping area anchored by Lucky's grocery store and situated beside a drive through Starbuck. Arriving just before 2 pm, the dining room had one other diner. Lately I have been focused on trying Khao Soi at different Thai restaurants. Although this dish shares common ingredients, it is prepared differently. Here they include two good sized chicken thighs in their thick curry broth with noodles along with crispy ramen noodles on top. Though the hard noodle tasted a bit stale. I had requested the spice level to be mild, just a taste. I felt the curry broth was at a crossroad of being too salty with a hint of sweetness. I had finished it despite being too salty for my taste. Wait person was friendly but appeared rushed to get through the lunch shift. There is a 3% service fee for using credit card for the bill. So pay by cash to avoid this fee. I would consider trying other dishes should I be in the area.

The rice in the fried rice was so mushy and wet.
just d.

First time trying Cha Thai. The food had a good flavor but both the pineapple fried rice and pad thai noodles were soooo soggy. I recognize that with take out, the texture can change but this is the result of mushy rice and over cooked noodles.

We went down to San Ramon and got some boba in this area. My sister was asking me to get some food while traffic on the way home. We found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to come and try. The food are supper good, the rice fries, pad Thai were not smell any smoke like other place. Specialty, the lady was really nice and made us feel really enjoyed like we were home. Definitely, we will be back with our family.

This Thai place has been here about 1 year before Covid (2019) our server mentioned to us . Surviving Covid is huge. Next door to SUBWAY DIARY Queen and Starbucks drive thru this place has tons and tons of parking. Even though it looks like your pay upfront if your dining in you pay after your meal proper restaurant style. The lady working here was very happy go lucky, smiling and made sure our stay our first one ever was comfortable and superb . You don't get a second chance to make a first impression especially with a popular cuisine such as Thai with plentiful competition throughout the Bay Area. One thing was odd that they had the radio kinda loin with 94.9 I suggest they have like instrumental or Thai music on. The food was authentic Thai and everyone loved their meal. Not pricey at all either . They lady even insisted and took it on herself to put our leftovers in the containers for us, that's what you call service. I double the tax for tip like I usually do to make it simple and it was awesome Thai dinner. I will definitely be back . Not busy at all in a Friday night in June. Service is what stood out and complemented the overall dinner which had everyone full so we didn't order dessert on this night. I think I like it better than Andaman Thai in San Ramon but that's my personal opinion. Lastly the have Thai tea and beer and wine .

Grilled Thai bbq pork is AMAZINGLY delicious

Some of the BEST and Thai restaurants I've had the pleasure of eating at. We don't even live near San Ramon, but my wife discovered it and brought me here recently after her great experience. My top 3: the orange chicken is crispy as heck, I just love the crispiness and the tanginess of the dish. Grilled BBQ pork is simple and very flavorful marinate. Lastly the Thai style salad is a well portioned filled with nice chucks of steak mixed in with it. This is my second visit (seems like a monthly thing), the staff is very friendly and the restaurant has a kind of home feel, spacious and lastly the prices are very reasonable especially with how everything is going up in price. Definitely recommended!

Excellent! I couldn't recommend a better Thai food place in all of the Bay Area. Delicious and fresh. The waitress was very welcoming and friendly. She kept my water glass filled the whole time and I love that. We got the Pad Thai Chicken and the Drunken Noodles with Chicken. An excellent combination of sweet and spicy. The ambience is nice but not fancy. A few booths and a bunch of tables.

The food was delicious. I had Fresh spring rolls and Tom Kha! The service was outstanding and they've added some new items to the menu.

Good, Service, Ambiance : All great!…read more We came here for lunch to celebrate one of my close friend's birthdays, and it definitely did not disappoint! The place was packed, but the service was still great. Everything we ordered tasted wonderful, and the food presentation was spot on. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with such a fun, aesthetic atmosphere--definitely Instagram-worthy! Great food, great service, and beautiful ambiance. We had such a nice birthday lunch and I will definitely be coming back!

We were super excited because this wasn't our group's first time at this establishment, so trust me when I say something has gone wrong. Nothing tasted right. There was no "omg! This is so good" moment. Every dish our group ordered was meh . We didn't even take a second bite of two entrees. They were that poorly made. The vegetables were raw, and the taste was bland. The roti was drenched in oil. The papaya salad didn't have chopped peanuts. The drunken beef spaghetti made you wonder if the requirement was to be literally drunk to make it. The calamari were tiny, the kind you'd expect at a typical boba snack shop--not up to par for a $$$ restaurant. We live in the Bay Area. Like, there's no reason seafood, let alone a dish like calamari, shouldn't have had a moment. I'm so sad because our team rarely has time for outings. We were really looking forward to it, but we were extremely disappointed. I lost all joy for food after that experience. Sayonara, OHB. We probably won't come back as a group until you revive yourself. And the service: two thumbs down. The server's tone wasn't friendly, just curt and brief. Before we even began, she was like, "Are you ready to order or what?" And there was no point to it. Our group wasn't pretentious at all. We didn't call our server over, except maybe once to see the menu again and order a fresh plate of fruit, because at that point, it was the only chance we were willing to take. One star for email communication and the second star for the clean bathroom.

It would have been five, but the waitress never brought us our appetizer so we had to ask that it would be removed from the bill at the end. The fried mushrooms were heavily greased, and was not seasoned at all and it made it seem like we were biting into nothing but crunchy oil. Was not appetizing. But it was pretty lol The crab fried rice was pretty good. I guess it was one of their specialties. The service was extremely slow. Seems like it would benefit for them to hire a few more people to run tables as it was very obvious that they could not handle the DoorDash orders along with what was going on inside of the restaurant. We had seen some people step out of the kitchen to assist with the DoorDash orders and help the girls in the front organize things. And unfortunately, the DoorDashers had to wait around for a really long time and probably ended up not getting a tip and a bad review due to the delay. Though the food did come out fast! However, it took us about 30 minutes just to get our bill. We actually never really got the Bill. We had walked up to the employees and asked if we can pay for a bill.
