He…read morerecommends installing from the main breaker panel outside into the house but due to our Tesla parked further in on the opposite side of the garage, the 24' Tesla cable was not long enough and a trip hazard. We decided to connect closer to subpanel on a 50A breaker with 6AWG copper wires. The Tesla is able to charge up to its max rating of 48A. Which is much conveniently placed should we get a second Tesla down the road. Fired up and running on the first try.
