My thai friends introduced me to this gem. We were on a search for the kind of shrimp pad thai we had in Bangkok and we were able to find it here at this place. Their shrimp pad thai has more sauce, lots of shrimp, and it's is delicious. Another favorite is the yen ta fo. Omg, from the broth, to the cripsy pork belly, to the perfectly cooked thin rice noodle, you're going to want to order it every single time. Their raw shrimp is so flavorful with thai chili, mint, garlic, and fish sauce. This is not watered down thai food. It is authentic and they don't skimp on the spices. Love this place. read more

This is my favorite Thai food restaurant in the area! I have tried a few others and have officially become loyal to only C'est Bien Thai! My loyalty is due to their ability to ACTUALLY read and carry out the added notes when I place an order for delivery. I also just simply LOVE their pineapple fried rice. But seriously, NO other Thai food restaurant has read or carried out a small request for no onions and added yellow curry if possible (I always tip well and will pay extra if they need. I state that)! I have ordered from here probably 5 times and each time my request for yellow curry is added with no charge and there have never been onions in my meal. Anywhere else I've tried- they've Ignored the requests. I'm not a fan of their fried sticky rice, so that stinks. Definitely still worth it for their pineapple fried rice, flexibility with cooking instructions, timeliness (super quick delivery) and their other dishes have all been wonderful, as well!! The drunken noodles, supposedly spicy, had no taste. Literally no slice. Chicken wontons also has no taste. Pineapple friend rice is real good though. Waiting on the curry.... Confirmed, pretty good. But let's not forget about the drunken noodles. read more

the staff was so nice and the food was delicious!!! we had a walk-in party of 5 and we were distracted by our conversation so we weren't the most horrible of guests but we weren't the most considerate, either. but the team serving us was *great*! I had the Tom Yum Noodle entree and it was spicy for me but sooo good. next time I need to attack the eggs and crispy 'rice cracker' earlier because the eggs were tougher than I prefer and the end of the cracker had been drenched through, but still held it's general shape which was impressive. a couple tablemates had the Duck Curry and they did mention they had wished there was more meat, but I wasn't going to point out to them that I wasn't surprised. duck is pricey, so I wasn't sure what they expected for the price point. the amount of meat they probably hoped for would have been more appropriate for an entree at least 3-5$ more than what was on the menu, but then the restaurant might have priced themselves out. so personally I think my friends did themselves in, ha! next time I'm in the neighborhood I would definitely be up for checking this place out again! read more

I should've written this review a year ago! I have eaten here 10+ times (dine in and carry out) and have been satisfied every time. My biggest complaint with other Thai restaurants is the inconsistency of dishes, particularly with spice level and freshness. C'est Bien just gets it right! We ordered: Crab Rangoons - 4 in the order. Crispy! Spices! Panang noodle curry dish with beef, coconut milk base - that was INSANE BLOCKCHAIN Khao Soy - PHENOMENAL. Popular one here apparently Forget what else, sorry Then we straight chilled there for an hour to finish all the wine we brought. We ordered take out. My first order with a new Thai place is always dumplings, crab rangoon and pad thai. Even though it was delivery, the crab Rangoon was still crispy. The dumplings were delicious and the pad thai had great flavor. We'll definitely order from here again & are planning a visit. read more

Love this place! Their Panang curry instantly became my favorite in the city, and my husband is wild about their crab rangoons. It seems like they might not be open currently due to the Covid crisis, which I find disappointing as I keep trying to order delivery from C'est Bien through Uber Eats and haven't been able to. Great late night Thai food! The place closes at midnight(12am) which is one of the truly awesome things about this restaurant. I got my food to go after work, I ordered green curry chicken spicy and it was very good indeed Hot with a perfect balance of spice and chicken just the the way I like it plus an appetizer of crab rangoon that you can tell is home made and not frozen nonsense. Best fried rice in all of Chicago! My husband and I have tried all of the popular Thai food places around the Ravenswood area, and C'est Bien has consistently proven to be the best. The pineapple fried rice with chicken is absolutely delicious. We also love the veggie egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and pad Thai. I decided to order takeout the other day, as I was looking for some good Thai food in the area, and I am so glad that I ordered from C'est Bien Thai! Finally I have found a Thai restaurant that knows how to make a proper Pad Thai! It was salty, sweet, and with the addition of their chili sauce I was also able to control the spice to my liking. I got a combo of Beef and Shrimp Pad Thai, and both of the proteins were fantastic, cooked well and with loads of flavor. I also ordered the spicy noodle tom yum soup, and man did I enjoy this as well! The soup is definitely SPICY, so don't get it if you cannot handle spice well. For those who do love spice, this soup is so good it will have you sweating and coming back for more. The depth of flavor in this soup is ridiculously good, and the fish-balls were great in addition to the ground pork and crispy pork skin. I will definitely come back to C'est Bien Thai for more food in the future - 5/5 stars, come check them out! read more

Service is always friendly without being cloying. But let's get into the real stuff: this chef has a way with pepper. And tofu. Since Thai is my favorite cuisine I eat it several times a month. And while I dine at several different Thai restaurants there just is no beating this one. Do eat here, and eat here often. read more

I love Panang Curry and this place has the best and has become my new go to spot for it and cannot resist stopping by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. It is served with an ample amount of rice and it has the perfect spice for me. Before ordering I read some of the previous reviews. It was noted previously this place pays extra attention to personal notes and this was true for me as well. I requested my drunken noodles be made extra spicy with added small pieces of broccoli. Both requests were met! I'm in love with this place. I had it twice in one week, actually. And I talked about it so much that my sister ordered it, and is now also obsessed. I used to live near Namo. I moved back to the area and went to visit when I realized they were closed - I loved their massaman curry. And when C'est Bien Thai opened in its place, I figured I'd give them a shot and see how their massaman curry ranked. Holy crap. It's amazing, probably the best I've ever had. The chicken satay was also great - large, juicy chicken skewers. The staff was also incredibly nice and welcoming. My friend and I even got a complimentary Thai drink! The veggies were fresh and the curry was not oily at all (like it is at some places where you can see the pool of orange oil floating around). First (and last) time ordering here. I ordered egg rolls and Pad Se Ew- a favorite of mine. Two bites of egg roll- all I could taste was salt. The filling was indescribable mush. In the trash. Pad Se Ew- a popular Thai dish I've had many times. Again. No taste but that of salt and cheap beef- the dish was dry, not much sauce and it certainly wasnt the sweet Pad Se Ew sauce that is in every other Pad Se Ew I've tasted. One bite- in the trash. Delivery took an hour and a half- not a big deal if thr food had been edible, but now it's after 9pm and I have to start over for dinner. Too tired to cook, which is why I ordered out to begin with. This review has been a long time coming --and is probably my favorite Thai house! Though I've only dined in the restaurant once, I order delivery from them religiously and have yet to be disappointed. The entire staff of restaurant to the delivery people, I am always pleased with their steadfast hospitality and kindness. Though I live about 13 minutes max from the restaurant, the delivery time is always estimated between 30-45 minutes; but they always end up delivering my food 5-20 minutes ahead of estimated time! I notice, and appreciate that so much, makes me feel so special..! The crab Rangoon is a STAPLE when ordering for me -and their pineapple fried rice is like no other. I do not understand the 4.5 average at all. Like, completely baffled. Tried this place for the first time earlier tonight (take-out) because it's the only Thai place in the whole Lincoln Square / North Center / Roscoe area I hadn't tried yet. I'll be going back to my standard places. First of all, my food needed to be reheated when I got home. I arrived exactly in the window the restaurant told Grubhub my food would be ready, but apparently it had been ready long before and not kept warm. The food itself: no spice except salt. I ordered veggie potstickers and Pad Prik Khing with chicken. The sauce with the potstickers was a welcome (read: necessary) addition as the flavor of the potstickers themselves was lacking in any flavor except salt. Pad Prik Khing was specifically ordered "very spicy", but had no spice whatsoever except some black pepper. No sign of Thai chili at all, which confounded me. Completely blend except for the flavor of - you guessed it - salt. I was relieved that I at least had some chili garlic sauce in the fridge that salvaged it somewhat. I might add I picked up just as most restaurants would be finishing their dinner rush, and it was completely empty. Not a good sign. If I had known that I would've ordered from somewhere else. 1 extra star because the employees were very friendly. (Just apparently not versed in how to use their Grubhub system). read more

Very happy with our delivery. Everything tasted fresh. We got the crab rangoons, crab fried rice, and mixed veg with chicken and beef. Everything was very flavorful. Their white rice was soft and not sticky or dry which I liked a lot. The only negative I had of the meal was that there was a lot of pepper on the very top of the mixed vegetables dish.
