    Bloody Mary

I never heard of this place. We just decided to park downtown and walk around, We were craving coffee, but instead of Coffee, I ordered the Stacy famous Bloody Mary and the Pastrami Hotdog and they were both so good. The bartender was very nice and friendly. I will definitely be back.

The food here is fresh from the Friday market in La Mesa. The salads are all organic., Sent Fonte is really cares about what goes into their food and service. We give them five stars.

Best Breakfast Spot in La Mesa! Centifonti's is such a cute and cozy, family-style restaurant and bar that truly has something for everyone. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and as if that wasn't enough, they also make homemade candy, caramel apples, and gelato. It's honestly a one-stop shop for everything your stomach craves! From the moment I walked in, I noticed how clean and tidy the restaurant is. Every table is decorated with an adorable sunflower-themed artistic vase, which adds such a cheerful, welcoming touch. There are also multiple TVs showing sports, so sports fans will definitely feel right at home. Our waitress was so kind, attentive, and professional, which truly made the experience even better. Parking is easy to plan for as there are parking meters lined up along the street in front, since it's located right in downtown La Mesa on La Mesa Boulevard. Everything about this place feels just right from the atmosphere to the attention to detail. Perfection all around. Hands down, the best breakfast place ever! Come on down, you'll be so happy you did! #yelpsandiego #sandiego #sandiegocalifornia #centifonti's

well, I'm back and I can't understand what all the fuss is about. If you don't have enough time to wait for your food in a patient manner maybe you shouldn't come here. Maybe you should be a fast food person. This seems to be a great place to eat I'm having the same experience as my initial time here. Please come with patients depending on what day you're here. I came on a fairly dead day. It still took a while for our food, but it was quite wonderful when it did arrive. I never have a problem here t. They deserve top reviews.

A hidden spot in the busy street of downtown La Mesa, mom and pop shop oriented. Everyone that was working this day made us feel so welcome and were attentive, the food portions almost fills up two people. Nice spot to enjoy even a beer later in the evening but there is tons of goodies to browse left and right! Definitely will come back again.

Very welcoming environment. Fast AND attentive service. You can taste the love in the food. This is a definite place to put on your bucket list. Great location for group meetings. I told them 5-stars on YELP!

Rate 3.5 Server/ Staff 5 We dropped by kinda late around 8:45pm to get some hot coffee and desserts. They close at 10 pm so we had time. Ordered hot mexican mochas. I noticed their brewed coffee is Cafe Moto. That's good stuff. I enjoyed the drink but I didn't tasted too much of the Mexican Mocha. The cookie was good. The Carmel Apple was different. I think the Carmel may have been off because unfortunately it didn't taste good. The staff is hardworking and friendly at this establishment.

    Fish and chips

My friend and I entered this establishment and noticed that, although it was lunch time, there were no patrons. Besides us, there was only a grandmother with her two grandchildren dining. The restaurant was a nice size with wooden tables and chairs. It appeared clean enough. The hostess was kind and attentive. The food, on the other hand, was inedible. I ordered the fish and chips and specifically asked if it was battered, because I only like pub style beer battered fish when ordering fish and chips. I also requested extra crispy fries and dry slaw. I was told the fish was battered. My friend ordered the reuben on grilled sourdough. Our food looked nice enough. However, my fish was panko crusted and NOT battered. Rather than complain, I decided to decided to give the dish a try. The coating was bland and tasteless. The small fish section underneath the thick coating was dry, rubbery, and chewy. I was unable to swallow the bite I had taken. The fries were brown on the outside but soggy throughout and not crispy at all. My fiend's reuben contained meat that was chopped/diced and not sliced and appeared to be ham rather than pastrami. The meat was also not grilled but appeared to be boiled and/or microwaved and had the consistency of chewing on rubber bands. We spoke with our hostess about our dissatisfaction, and she asked if we wanted to try something different from their menu. We both declined and were not charged for the uneaten meals. Our bill was $38, and we left a $20 tip, because the service was great! The food is the issue here. This is not a place I would suggest to anyone, and I do not plan on ever trying it out again.

    Carbonara pasta

Wonderful service and food. We ordered the carbonara pasta and chipotle shrimp. Excellent authentic Italian food and our host Adam was excellent. Definitely recommend to try.

We got the fresh homemade bread, polpettine, insalate venere, linguine, and lasagna. The herb infused dip for the bread was delicious, and the bread came warm wrapped in a towel. The polpettine was my favorite appetizer, the meat was so tender and delicious and paired perfectly with the whipped ricotta. I appreciated the olives and onions in the dish as well, and the sauce was great with the bread. Our server was extremely kind and offered to split the salad for us. My boyfriend loved the salad and loved the pairing of the greens, goat cheese, and walnuts together. He got the lasagna for the main and noted that there were about 12 layers beautifully stacked upon one another. My linguine was delicious and packed with seafood which was cooked perfectly. The texture of the linguine was delicious and seemed home made. Overall the food and service were excellent. I'm so glad I found a gem near my home and will be back to try more of the menu.

The market is well sorted with lots of interesting items and fair prices. The only thing is their tall cans of craft beer. A lot of them were old or had no date on the bottom of the can and as someone who works in the beer industry let me tell you. Beer does go bad. Not in a you can't drink it kind of way but flavor declines, especially craft beer. Skunky, taste changes, aroma changes, color changes, it's just not great. I picked up a can that was dated May 2025, for craft that is OLD and not good. Not a problem for your average person but I'm just letting y'all know. Nonetheless this place is delicious, the service is great, fast, friendly. The food is overall good, the market is nice and well sorted. What I don't understand are the comments that say I been here so many times but never left a good review, suddenly they have one bad experience over something like not enough lettuce or they ran out of something and leave a bad review. At first glance, it appeared I didn't get double pepperoni but after eating a piece or two there was some meat presumably pepperoni underneath all the cheese. I wasn't sure because it was bland like salami, definitely not spicy like you'd expect pepperoni to be and it definitely wasn't the small round pieces that were on top. What I'm saying is the pizza was bland I even had to add some salt to give it flavor. Very little flavor came from the pepperoni. This sucked because that's exactly why I ordered DOUBLE pepperoni. The other issue I had was they mixed the mushrooms in with the cheese rather than on top. As a result, the moisture from the shrooms made the pizza soggy. If they put the shrooms on top it would've been a different story The staff were nice but not very attentive. Those who walked past me assumed someone else helped me when in fact nobody was helping me so I basically got ignored. Someone finally asked if I've been helped and took my order. After waiting for 30 minutes my pizza was done and put out under the warmer as I stood there. There was nobody around and it literally took over 5 minutes or so for someone to walk by and I stopped them to ask if I can have my pizza, right there, on the pick up counter. He tried to find someone and that someone finally came out and gave me my food. The place was clean and nice looking overall. Plenty of indoor seating plus patio seating. The night I came there was a concert going on in the park right next to the place which made parking next to impossible so keep that in mind. YMMV. To close, I'm still looking for a place to call my home for pizza. Maybe I should be trying dedicated pizza joints rather than at Italian restaurants
