Great selection of beers and ciders. Omg!! I feel like a kid in a candy store. They have my favorite cider. I love everything apple and pumpkin. They have one of the best pumpkin cider. I don't know till when but you should go and try it. They also have food made by surf rider pizza. They have a few games. The place is definitely very chill. I also went here during October fest and it was nice to just sit and enjoy a good beer with my large pretzel. The service is superb!! Everyone there is super nice!! Which make the experience so fun!! The drinks is charge by the oz so you can get as much or little. I tried a lot of them so I only got a few oz each. The one I like I would get a cup. Definitely give this place a try. It's fun and super chill!

Such a unique spot where you can play games for free all day on Sunday! Combine that with their happy hour and you're in for a good time. They have classic arcade games here like Frogger Pong, Super Mario and pinball. There are a few newer games like a version of beer pong, Halo, Mario Kart and 4-person Pacman. We played every game within an hour and felt a bit bored after that. I'd love to see a Dance Dance Revolution game here! The plethora of beers, hard seltzers and ciders on tap looked like an expansive collection. There was something here for everyone. They even had a chocolate espresso martini on tap. I didn't drink but those in my party enjoyed every sip and got a good buzz goin. I love that you can pay for your drink by the ounce and you don't really have to commit to a whole drink if you don't want to. Perfect to taste test everything if that's what you desire. I'll be back in the area when I'm feelin in a fun and drinky mood.

Coin Haus is like a mix between Barrel Republic and Coin Op. They have self-serve beers on tap (charged by the ounce) along with a ton of games to play. The space lends itself to a fun time! It's a great gathering space and the set up is definitely stand out. There's a big storage container in the center that houses all of the taps. As you walk around the container, you can find a bunch of different beer options along with a few ciders and kombuchas. You scan a card to pay by the ounce, so you can get as little or as much as you want. Behind the container, there is a wall full of different arcade games. You can jump into Mario Kart or play any of the driving or shooting games. Lots of fun options, but all for adults! This place is 21+ so all the video games and fun are for the big kids! Besides all the activities they have going on, the food itself is actually delicious! Their pizzas are delicious and they have so many unique options. This is a CRG restaurant along with Surfrider Pizza right next door, so the food is quality! Last but not least, the staff deserves a shout out. They are so fun and friendly. Working here looks like a great time! All around stand out spot and the perfect place to enjoy a brew!

Have been wanting to try Coin Haus for a while now and so glad we have! The bartender was very helpful, welcoming, and he was fun to chat with. Explained how the pour-it-yourself works and the prices were reasonable, I really enjoyed being able to taste a bunch of different drinks before committing to one lol. I was also pleasantly surprised to how many options there were, I was expecting only beers but there were a lot of ciders and seltzers to choose from as well. Definitely a drink for everyone! We got some pizzas from Surf Rider, such a great combo to have in one spot, we got the Surf Rider veggie pizza and it was SO good and garlicky. We also got the LM Deluxe and it was also really good. Loved all the different arcade games and for coming in on a Saturday night, it was busy but not packed which made every game enjoyable. Will definitely be back!

Stopped in around 5 on a Saturday to a relatively empty establishment. In any other city I'd be worried...but in San Diego area, I'm just relieved I don't have to wait for a table. We showed up, traded credit cards for Coin Haus cards and got to pouring. Keep your eyes on that per ounce price, there was a mistake on my pour that was quickly remedied. We ordered wings and pesto bread. I would say...maybe eat somewhere else. It wasn't terrible, but also not quite noteworthy food. I think the draw of the place is more the cool pour yourself a pint aspect. We loved the video games, and the cargo box of kegs. It felt like a funky place to bring out of town visitors. We may come back again, it would be perfect for after a day of walking around and shopping throughout downtown la Mesa.

Pro tip: Free game play on Sundays! Other deals as well throughout the week. This place is always a good time with many taps (pay per ounce), games, and food available from Surf Rider Pizza. It's not huge but has enough games to keep you entertained, tvs to watch whatever game happens to be on, and food/drink as needed. Staff is always super friendly and helpful.

What a fun spot! It's an arcade with a good selection of beers and ciders with a few wines to choose from. I love the concept of being able to try so many different ones using a card. We grabbed our drinks and played games while we waited for our food. I wish there was a bigger selection of arcade games. The surf dude salad was very fresh and adding the chicken was great. I wish there were more ingredients in it as it was a lot of lettuce, but still great. We ordered the cheesy bread and that had good flavor and tasted fresh as well. I'm glad it had the marinara sauce on the side as well. The cheesesteak was big and had great flavor. It was a bit spicy and we were overall very happy with our food! The service was great as well and she explained how everything worked. She mentioned that the food would take 25-30 minutes which was much appreciated, but it allowed us to play games. Street parking.

Such a fun and unique spot! They have beer on tap where you can pour your own drinks, which makes the whole experience feel interactive and laid-back. You can sample as much or as little as you want, which is perfect for trying different flavors without committing to a full pint right away. The staff were amazing -- super fun, friendly, and really attentive the entire time. We ordered the wings and they did not disappoint -- crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. We also got the pizza, and it was huge! Not just big, but genuinely delicious and made with great-quality ingredients. On top of all that, we had an absolute blast playing the arcade games -- such a nostalgic, playful touch that kept us entertained all night. Overall, this place is a great combo of good vibes, great food, cold beer, and fun. Highly recommend checking it out!

Staff is friendly and helpful for sure. It was my first time stopping by and checking this place out. The have a wide variety of taps to chose from. It is card based at the end you close out with the staff and pay however much you drank. It tells you along the way price per ounce and total spent so far. The drinks were great! Its a cool little spot in La Mesa. I really would not come back. Limited seating and often reserved for events so you have to move and try finding an open chair or stay standing. Limited games to play. Good amount of TVs around the place.

Coin Haus is a great spot for a cold beer and awesome retro video games. And to my surprise, all video games are free on Sundays. Coin Haus is a great spot to hang out. With over 45 drink options to choose from (mostly beer, but they also have wine options), you will not be disappointed. And the best part is that you have control of the pour. If you want to sample a drink, pour yourself a small portion. If you know what you like, pour yourself a pint. Coin Haus also has other drink options at the bar. Also, you are able to order food items from the local pizza place (Surf Rider Pizza Co) and they will deliver it here. The service here is pretty simple. You open a tab and off you go. Everything is controlled by the card you are given. Coin Haus is a great spot to hang out, have a cold drink, enjoy delicious food, and play awesome retro games. I'll definitely be back.

    CHEESE BREAD

If you're looking for a place where you can challenge your date to an pac man game and pour your own IPA, this arcade is it. Picture neon lights, retro vibes, and a self-pour station that makes you feel like a sommelier with commitment issues (beer, wine, or seltzer--why not all three?). The food? Let's just say the cheese and bread options are dangerously good--like, "whoops, we're eating our way through the pong budget" good. Service is solid, with staff who are quick to explain the pouring system and make sure you don't accidentally fill your cup to the brim with something questionable. Pro tip: bring someone who can appreciate a little friendly competition. Nothing says "romantic spark" like crushing them at Ms. Pac-Man. Perfect for dates, post-work hangs, or just proving your Mario Kart supremacy.

Not on their patio. Has to be outside the building.

    Do they allow dogs?

I believe they do. Sometimes employees bring their dogs in.

What is the price range here ? How does the beer tasting work?

Depends on when you go. They have specials when the games cost less. Beer tasting is by the ounce. You get a glass and a card that you tap on the tasting taps to try. At the end of the night, you pay for the games and beer according to the card.

The drinks here are my favorite because to be honest, I'm a sours beer kind of guy and they have a whole building dedicated to it. Me: Hey, I was nice enough to wait while you were on your phone. Bartender: No, you weren't. I slide my drink back to her. Me: You can just give my drink to your friends across the bar. Bartender: I will. I walk out. The eye-roller stares at me as I leave. Acknowledge guests, stay professional, and don't complain about customers to friends sitting right in front of them. Promote the girl in the Christmas sweater. And if Eye Ball wants to talk about it sometime, we can meet elsewhere for a drink. My treat.
