Bloody Mary
Jacie S.

Stopped by here for brunch and a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was the best I ever had. The bartender said she makes the mix her self and it was delicious! The short rib was soooo good. The place is super nice inside and very open. Will definitely be coming back!

Love this place and the food. Perfect for casual lunch or quick bite with the hubby. From their sliders to the it salads and burgers everything here is delicious. We like to park behind the goodwill and walk around and do some shopping before coming here. Staff is always friendly. Definitely recommend.

This place is so good! It's a bit small inside but the menu makes it worth it! It's in the perfect area, with shops near by. Food has been incredible everytime. The salads are all unique and absolutely delicious. They even have some Greek items and the falafel was outstanding!! Fries are perfectly crunchy. Service is always fantastic, food is incredible. I'd definitely recommend this spot!

Got to visit Curbise today, I was disappointed because I got there at 2 and happy hour is at 3pm They have a good space outside to enjoy the nice weather, big selection of craft beer and plenty of cocktails. Unfortunately, I forgot my ID and I wasn't able to try anything. Food was good! I ordered poke nachos, a little too spicy for me but still good! Overall, a good space. I thought it was a little too pricey but still good.

one of our favorite places to go. love that it has an open concept and flows from outside to inside. the seating outside is super quaint. their best dishes are poke nachos (coming from someone who has lived in hawaii!), the sliders (all), shrimp kabob plate, and one time they had a fried chicken sandwich that was perfectly thin and crispy! prices are moderate for san diego and portions are perfect size. go check out this place!

Waffled between 2 and 3 stars here. Went here around 9pm as it's one of the few places on the boulevard open later on a weeknight. This place is always packed, particularly on car show nights and farmers market nights, so wanted to give it a try. They have a great patio and nice bar area that overlooks the boulevard. Eating inside was a bit tough--the music was so loud that I could barely hear the person sitting across the table from me. Also, with tons of open seating, they put us at a table next to the bathroom entrance, which felt odd given the other available options. Prices were ok, service was ok, food was just okay. It may have been because we were there closer to closing, but I personally still expect the same experience as I would at 6pm from a food standpoint. I got a burger and fries, and the fries came out cold and there were very few of them. When having to pay $3 extra for fries when the burger is already $20, I expect an actual serving of fries that aren't cold. The burger was decent, tasty toppings. I'm probably willing to give this another shot earlier in the evening given its popularity, but it will probably be a while until we give it another go.

Classic car night in La Mesa.

Brought a friend here for her birthday, and got the timing just right as downtown La Mesa was also having their classic car event, and there was a live band playing. It was a bit loud, but much more the festive than annoying kind. Parking was a bit tight, but if you're willing to walk a few blocks, it's not a problem. Our server was so friendly that I was really impressed. She wasn't at all fazed by the establishment being packed, and even seemed energized by it. Although every table was full, she even noticed that I wasn't loving my drink (watermelon cider) and cheerfully switched it out (for POG). The kitchen took a little while to get our burgers out to us, but that was to be expected since it was so busy. When they arrived, burgers were perfectly medium, with the adjustments we'd requested (sourdough and light cheese). Kettle cut chips were crisp and lightly salted. The chefs are on point! We really enjoyed our meal. If you appreciate the great meal, great cars, great friends combo, head over to Curbside on a classic car night. You will not be disappointed.

Came in at 6:30pm with 3 people. Spencer served us and did an exceptional job. The burgers are always phenomenal, especially the Curbside Burger!! The service and ambience is so lively and we always look forward to coming back.

Street side seating

We visited Curbside for lunch and were treated very well. They have a full bar with many options, we opted for local beers and ciders. The place has a bar vibe with seating at the bar, inside, and a lot of outdoor street side seating. We ordered mom's burrito and the short rib sandwich. They both came with in house chips - which were good! Yes, the charge for substituting the chips, but you don't need to. The food was great! Our server/bartender was attentive and accommodating. We had a great lunch!

Warm, energetic, and somehow still intimate even when busy. But honestly, what impressed me most was the service team. They were calm, confident, attentive, and completely dialed in all night long. Nobody felt rushed. Nobody felt ignored. The pacing was perfect. You can always tell when a team actually likes working together. This felt like that. Food-wise, every dish delivered exactly what it promised. Beautiful presentation, balanced flavors, great execution, and no weak links anywhere in the meal. At the end of dinner I asked to speak to the manager because I think great experiences deserve more than just a tip. I wanted them to know they absolutely nailed it. He mentioned they do individualized training and really focus on team happiness and culture. Honestly... it shows. Places like this remind you hospitality is still an art form when done right. Can't wait to go back.
