Horrible food and drink and POS management and sticky disgusting floors. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this diner! Iced Tea was so bitter and nasty tasting. Salad was the whitest pieces and was large like you put on a sandwich. Ordered shrimp dinner which was shrimp grilled,scampi and fried for $15.99. The fried shrimp was overcooked and breading awful. The shrimp scampi had small shrimp in awful sauce in a French onion soup bowl. The grilled shrimp was small , seasoned awful and had the skin fused to it from over cooking and took a bite and spit out. The had little pieces of shredded lettuce on the plate that had no reason to be on there to decorate anything. My Moms burger was not cooked the whole way through and the tomatoes where not ripened.When brought to attention of the nice young waiter, he apologized and went to talk to I assume management about it. They had the nerve to offer a piece of cake. I declined because I do not want anymore of their food. He then offered a measly 10% off because I tried more than one piece. I said I tried more than one because i thought just 1 piece would be like that. I said I declined the cake , couldn't you take that off and he said sorry and no. My Mom was not feeling well and was paying for the bill so she didn't want me to go further with fighting the unfair bill for horrible food and drink. Just had an excellent breakfast for dinner. Blueberry pancakes for my son. They were perfect. Some of the best pancakes I've ever shared with someone:) Seriously they are fantastic. Centerville omelette with homefries. Again done very well. Service was fast and friendly. The manager is also very friendly at the register. I have eaten here/had take out many times. Very family friendly diner with good breakfast food and Greek specialties. The owners are very cordial and have gladly donated to local community organizations when I have made requests. What a difference! This restaurant is located in the former Apple Tree which had sunk to the lowest of the low in atmosphere, cleanliness, and food quality. Centerville Diner is clean and bright and the food and staff is excellent. The new owners came from another local diner which is having its own issues. They brought none of that diner's staff with them, preferring instead to start fresh, and it shows. I had the roast turkey, which was excellent. The owner stopped by our table to chat, and he was very welcoming and excited about his new place. I can't wait to return for breakfast in the near future. The prices are reasonable too! read more

Visited for breakfast. Beautiful, bright, clean and cheerful place. Breakfast was perfect. Wait staff was great. Fresh rose on each table. Fantastic breakfast special: 2-eggs + homefries - the eggs were done perfectly, the homefries excellent-- I get tired of the amp'd up homefries you get with the seasoning and grease that a lot of the popular places serve these days; the potatoes were perfectly done, nice golden brown crust on outside and tender but not mushy on the inside. No "excess" of butter or fat glistening on it. There was no aftertaste of "fake butter" that I've stumbled on at other breakfast places. Coffee was good. Cups and saucers square, bright white and kinda cool. We passed up the chain breakfast place closer to Hwy 30 and, instead, went searching for a local diner and found this. Wonderful find. The experience at Centerville Diner was absolutely awful. In our experience, the staff was disrespectful - including the management! Our server was inattentive and failed to even check on our meals after we received them. I ordered a coffee and never was offered a refill. If we needed our server we had to get up from the table to find her to get served. We used to come here a lot but then stopped when we heard they didn't pass their health inspection. After learning that, which was alarming and disgusting, we stopped coming for several months. We finally came back two nights ago and again this morning and the service was terrible. Upon paying for our bill, I told the management (an older woman with short blonde hair) how dissatisfied we were with the service. She didn't seem to care and was barely responsive. I asked her if she could at minimum take the coffee off my check and she said "no" but she will talk to the server. I told her that won't help keep her customers happy but she didn't care and just said "sorry." The bottom line is terrible customer service and even worse management! read more

The owner Muhammed makes people feel welcome whenever people come in. The seating hostess and waitress are very pleasant and happy to care of you. What we've had so far has been very good(the French fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside-awesome). I came here with my sister, and two babies. When we walked in, we weren't acknowledged at first, but It was ok. We were seated near the entrance even thou it was freezing. Which we didn't think much of, but once again we had babies. We asked for two high chairs, only received one. Had to ask twice for the additional one. So we took about ten minutes to review the menu and we ordered our drinks. My sister order a water with lemon, it came without the lemon. Took 20 minutes to get the lemon after we asked again. Once again, small issue, no biggie but the red flags just kept comings. We order our food. We noticed it was taking extremely long to get the food. We were served the soup and salad about 30 minutes after we order, but we didn't mind that. We gave the babies crackers cause the bread we ordered never came. After an additional 15 minutes we finish our soup and salad, and when our waiter returned, she informed us that the dish I order wasn't available-which would be no biggie if it hadn't been 40 minutes after I ordered it. So I looked over the menu and order something else quickly. At this point the babies were getting fussy, so we asked if there was anyway the could get their food first -which they hadn't even received their drinks at this point. So our waiter expressed her apologize, and we told her that it wasn't her fault. We weren't upset with her at all at this point. We were completely understanding. After another 35 minutes however, the babies hands were freezing, their food still hadn't come nor their juice. So we decided when the food came we would just get it to go. After another 10 minutes, the food came, we asked for go boxes. The waiter apologetic, offers to box it for us. Great, we wait another 10 minutes-which was the quickest thing that happened. We asked for the check, she says two minutes, after another 10 minutes it finally comes. By this time, babies are completely cranky and bundled, and we are all still hungry. We tip our waiter, and we go to pay. We express our concerns with one of the person checking us out, and she's completely dismissive. My sister pays the $40 bills for the food we didn't get to eat, and we leave. Me being extremely upset because now the babies are crying and hungry, and asking for food -which is all bundled in bags at this point because we couldn't allow them to remain in the cold of the restaurant anymore to eat their food. I go back in with the bags of food and ask to speak to the supervisor, luckily, I was already speaking with him -he had watched the entire incident unfold and said nothing. I explain what took place -even thou he already knew- and he is blankly staring at me. I finally say, we don't want the food, I will never return. We will pay for what we ate, but would like a refund for the rest, which he grants without and apology. No one offered anything to compensate us for the experience. No one offered any sincere apology except the waiter. The supervisor didn't even say sorry. He handed me the money, told a waiter to toss the food in the trash. I said thank you, you have a great day, he just gestured towards the door. I will never return there, and would never recommend it. I literally created a yelp to save others the negative experience. Staff was nice and our waitress was good, but that was the only good part. My bacon was dripping and sitting in a puddle of grease. My eggs tasted like fake eggbeaters and quite honestly it was one of the worst omelettes I have ever had. So we went to pay the bill 1 person ahead of us and the paper ran out for a receipt for credit card .Had to wait another 5 minutes to get checked out then wanted to no If I wanted to put tip on card to which I said no I left at table ($1.00) ,they never ask how the meal was as all other places do. The family and I have been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Though they were all fantastic, breakfast was the best. The food is unarguably a step above diner food at better then diner prices. Our waitress at breakfast (I think it was Linny or Lindsay) was top notch. I can't remember ever going out to place that my wife has no complaints about. Every time we go we are so impressed. Well to start, the service was horrible. Nothing friendly about our waitress at all, the potato soup tastes like it was out of a can even though they said it was homemade, then our mozzarella sticks were cold, my meal was not served with everything it was supposed to have them my daughter wasn't offered sauce for her chicken tenders at all. When I asked for a take home box I asked for the rest of my order and she asked back if I asked for it and I said I shouldn't have to when menu states it comes with it.
